For a shredder, I think the duty cycle is more important than the number of pages. I know that that's what caused you a problem when doing more sheets. As it heated up, it got weaker. That's fairly normal, and treating the shredders like you did is likely to kill them. Needing to do a max of 10-12 pages is annoying. Needing to use the shredder for 5 minutes & then wait another 5 for it to cool down is much worse. At least, it is in my experience.

at the nail thing it doesn't cut through because you are not holding the nail straight anymore, so it probably gets shifted while cutting

Tyler, the reason the nail doesn't cut at the very end is because it has nothing stabilizing it as when you were holding it with your hand before. Right before you make the last cut, you let go of it which then there's nothing to hold the nail while cutting... Then it twists/shifts and doesn't cut.

A lot of times when an item looks exactly the same as the name brand they are made in the same factory but the difference comes down to a multitude of things such as fit and finish and quality of materials used. If that's a piece of plywood, the overspray that you're seeing is the divots in the wood itself allowing the paint to go actually underneath the tape. It works best with drywall for something that doesn't have a lot of texture to it to allow the material to go underneath the sides of the tape.

All decorators tape seems to react to the water in the paint and make it gooey on its tape . To stop the bleeding use a roller as this helps stick the paint down. More importantly on the paint test. 1) Spray paint is thinner and contains more VOC's, so it'll seep more. 2) If you're using painters tape, you try to NOT brush _against_ the edge of the tape, but rather either with it, or at an angle. Less important if you're using a roller, but the bristles will pull the edge of the tape. You were brushing back and forth across the tape.

The real mark of a good shredder isn't how many sheets it can do at once, but how long it can handle a continuous feed before it goes into thermal shutdown. Like if you have 10 reams or 5000 sheets, how many can you do before you need to give it a 30-40 minute break
@ekill13952 жыл бұрын
With the cutters and the drywall nails, when you got down to the end of the nails, you didn't have enough room left to hold the nail while cutting. Since you weren't holding the nails, they turned when you tried to cut them that's why they didn't cut all the way through.
