Can anyone please tell me if Air Purifiers alter the air pressure in room? Ever since I switched the Levoit 300s I feel like my EARS getting blocked as in an airplane. Any of you having this feeling or it maybe a coincidence that my ears clogged for some reason at the very same moment? Second question is that on the medium speed the device has like a very low whistling like sound. Not on low or high. I hear it only on medium fan speed. Its hard to describe this sound but its like a plane engine but on a low volume. Please help!

I m based out of Gurgaon. I like to keep lots of plants instead of air purifiers. The air purifier does not work even I open the door for once. Plants are way better than any machine and keep the temperature and AQI maintained.my inside house AQI is less than 100 through out the year..i love the monsters behind you. Can you also make a video of all the plants you have.. Peace & love Rachita
@TheGrapevineIndia3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rachita! Can you tell me more about that?! I read about plants for purifying and it said that while it may be effective for lower AQI, for places with smog it does not work. Snake plants? And how many do you use? I’ve been getting requests on my plants 😊😁 Maybe soon. I’m not a big expert though on it, but love the indoor plants! This one with many names is one of my favorites!

Along with that I also have peace lili, rubber plants, palm, aloe vera, money plants, I will get one or 2 monsteras for sure. I think that's the cumulative effect of all the plants. :) snake plants produce oxygen at the night. I could not gage that.but they look pretty.

@@TheGrapevineIndia how we get oxygen ?
@mmuralisai63 Жыл бұрын
When we close doors and windows, where do we get the fresh oxygen from? How long does the airpurifier afford to purify the stale indoor air unless there is fresh flow of air from outside? For these airpurifiers to properly filter the air to micro/nano particle level and filtering out pathogens, viruses and bacteria, they must be input fresh air from outside filtered to some extent dust particles etc by an air conditioner or otherwise. But then this an additional burden on cost. Instead of this, air conditioner can be fitted with pre filters, charcoal filters and HEPA filters to filter bigger Air dust particles, odours and micro,nano dust alongwith viruses respectively. But then using AC for long has bearing on health. Instead of all these, I feel we must first fit windows and other openings with nanofibre screens that enable fresh air passage after filtering nano level dust and viruses of sizes,m .5 pm, such air itself is pure enough. If one finds need additionally airpurifiers can be used. These nanofibre screens those permeate air passage without any suction are developed by IIT Delhi and are commercially available at a rate of Rs 150 per sqft in Delhi. Seems they don't have retailers outside Delhi nor supply for individual needs. But undestand that using only airpurifiers in strictly closed indoors may prove hazardous as they do not produce fresh oxygen nor they are capable of converting exhaled carbon dioxide or stale indoor air to breathable air. One should do lots of research before buying these purifiers

Great video .. thanks. I am keen for a air purifier that takes off the smell of cements and paints that comes repeatedly off the basement rooms. I think I need only a activated charcoal based and not HEPA based filters. Are there any entry level options for rooms of size 1000 / 1200 sq ft? I plan to use a timer for this to run periodically to ensure the basement is constantly deodorized. Since we live a bit far away from congested aeras, the quality of air on the above floors isnt a problem. Any advise?

Hi Gyanesh, Thanks, I’ll be researching that and publishing a review soon. I don’t believe there are only activated charcoal filters. You will get one with hepa. But the challenge is even with activated charcoal- the paint smells may not completely go. It will br minimised for sure.

Nice info on air purifiers. Congrats on your new camera. You can use manual focus or I guess there may be a face tracking feature in your camera. So wherever you go it will focus on you. I am guessing you have also purchased new lighting equipment. If so I hope you are using some kind of diffuser to soften the light like a softbox or stripbox.
@TheGrapevineIndia3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sreelakshmi! Yeah I made a mistake setting it to 4k resolution- and the auto focus tracking in that is not great. Realized my mistake and hopefully now it will be better from Friday’s video. I am still not comfortable enough to set manual - as I’m afraid I’ll mess it up🤦♀️ I am still using natural light. I was considering seeing how the performance is with new areas in my house and then decide whether I need a light box. Since I don’t have a dedicated recording area, it becomes cumbersome to set up the lighting everytime (Too lazy!) Hopefully audio is better now? Got a mike too to fix the audio echo issues.
@SreelakshmiPrabhakar3 жыл бұрын
@@TheGrapevineIndia Recording in 4K editing is not bad. In fact it gives you more options in post production. Your computer and the software should be able to render a 4K video. I am sure your camera has a monitor which can be flipped and is best suited for selfies and videos. If you are using Canon and your camera has wifi or nfc you can control your camera from your mobile. So maybe you can focus from where you are standing. Otherwise the classic method would be place an item at the place where you are going to be while presenting the subject of your video and manually focus on that item. Then you can remove the item and stand in its place and shoot away. Also you can try customising picture profiles with flaat, technicolor, etc which can be downloaded for free online. Then you can even colour grade your video to your liking. But if you are using some other camera then maybe you have to see the user manual of that particular camera.
@TheGrapevineIndia3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sreelakshmi! Yeah I wanted to record in 4k as it gives lot more flexibility and I read also that 4k videos have better reach on youtube. I still have to fiddle around with the manual settings of the camera. I would prefer to record in 4k, but till I figure manual settings - I will have to go down to 1080 so that the auto focus works. That's good input you gave about profiles, I have to try that! I am using a canon M50 Mii.

No asthma or allergies in the family. Is an Air Purifier still a necessity in city like Delhi ? Where the average AQI of whole year lies between 200-250 AQI ?? @@TheGrapevineIndia Definitely spending majority of our time indoors. I was only concerned cuz someone told me "you get a purifier and make your indoors 50AQI you go outside all of a sudden in 200AQI, that'll start causing you more respiratory allergies. @TheGrapevineIndia2 жыл бұрын
They haven’t claimed the grade of HePA on tp03 but the % pollutants it removes is the same as tp04. The size of filters is diff, which may slightly influence the efficiency. Also the oscillation is 90 degree only compared to tp04 which is 350. Oscillation- while not critical - does seem to be useful in directing air in all directions- particularly in a larger room. Coway biggest benefit is the hepa filter - which is one of the best and also the availability of washable pre filter - which extends life of the filter. For a smaller room size - you can go with the coway. For a larger one - a dyson may be more useful for you.

As you mentioned Sinus, for Winter weather, Dehumidifier is the perfect device. It's even more valuable than Room Heater. Because moisture in air is the main problem, not the room temperature, and this little guy does a great job. Since the powerful ones are expensive, I bought 3 Mini ones to keep here and there.

Depending on the Air quality, the Auto Mode picks the coverage area and Fan speed. I am still trying to understand this clearly, we bought it just last week. The Auto Mode always on the minimum which says 2-4 sq m. So to get the max coverage, I had to switch to Manual and the max range displayed is 28 to 48 sq m. With a setting kept at the middle it was between 18 to 32 sq m. So easily it can cover any big hall of 516 sq ft at max range.
