Looking at Concord, Dustborn, Suicide Squad and the new Star Wars game, I look back at this game and perhaps, we where to harsh on it.

Just say you was shit and couldn't progress 😂 the game had plenty to do and loads to farm and the way the game is it's unmatched to this day all it needed was end game content @@kruk69

loved Anthem and all of my javelins, it only needed more story content and performance fixes. I WISH they come back and re-release it

Saw it on ps store for 3€ and oh boy i‘m having a blast. I dont care for how long at this point because it is basically for free at this point

I would rather play Anthem and its short campaign with bad characters than play Suicide Squad with amazing comic characters with great histories

Anthem had great feel and great artstyle/graphics. It just lacked a lot of substance at release. I remember loot being really boring for example. Had it been given the time to flourish it absolutely could have been amazing.

I watched a small thing before it came out and never got to play it until a few months before the game was cut from getting anymore support. At least I thought it was cut but apparently I was wrong

I played this game alooot more than I should've as well at launch despite all of the problems it had. It was a lot of fun, so I feel confident in saying this "game" was abandoned where others weren't because it wasn't really a game but like a very well "polished" alpha concept. The game has a lot of ideas thrown in and bolted together. Good ideas and bad ideas bolted together in a way meant to get it out the door and now that it was out in the world it would be a matter of just getting fan feedback and refining the experience and making new content, but I'm almost certain they had no idea how to work it or what to do next. So with the good and the bad bolted together in a way they barely understand, might have made it too difficult to get anything done. Change one thing and something else breaks entirely type of deal, the problems may have been just too fundamental and I remember reading back then that management was pretty much all over the place. I wish somebody else would pick up the concept cause it was a lotta fun

I just downloaded last night. I always wanted to play that game when it first announced. I just wanted some input to what I might see. Thanks for content ✊🏾💯 Also hopefully some other studio or whatever can bring life back into this 🤞🏾

I loved Anthem on launch, then people uncovered the thing with the stats being faked, nerfing you the more you upgraded to make the game gradually get harder so you felt like things were scaling up. On top of everything leading up to release, like most people, I put it down waiting for the update that never came. Unfortunately I was the only person i know who liked the game, cus I would have liked to play more than the 109 hours I apparently put in.. Maybe if we're all really lucky someone a bit more competent will pick the IP up and revive it with a game that gets to be what this had the potential and promise to be..

I played the game in like 2020 and I actually really liked it. I get where the issues were but the movement was my main enjoyment. Figuring out how to go super fast as that one nimble class (idr the names) fulfilled my fantasy of super mobility.

I wonder if they’ll add the flying mechanic to Mass Effect. Would be cool to be a biotic floating around like they can in cutscenes

I remembered my lesson real quick to never pre-order games especially higher editions ever since Anthem came around. Haven't bought a full priced game since, always did sales or be your pirate in the sea

I bought it when it first came out and I'd buy it again if it was on Steam, there was just nothing to do once the story was over but really enjoyed it, i know it wasn't very well recieved but i loved it.

Honestly bioware always does a fantastic job and this was the old guard of bioware in their last game and it really sucks that EA did not want to give this game the attention it deserved or the time it would take to fix it because God this game could have been amazing and Industry altering and that is my honest to God opinion. This game deserved so much better

animations, flights, world, combat system, graphics, even optimization - the basic part of the game is great, it’s a pity that they couldn’t create an interesting content, dream is a full-fledged MMORPG based on it, PVP battles in the sky, under water, dreams

i really hope this gets the rework it deserves and was cancelled. i really enjoyed the game personally and i was so excited for the future of it that i farmed god roll gear and guns for every character, everything had bs like 300% damage or equipment count, so i could combo those weird detonations a few times in a row. i agree with most your criticisms though, it needed more suits to play it,more weapons, more missions etc...such potential just wasted, how sad,one of several of my "most looked forward to games of all time" that turned out bad.

Is there still matchmaking in this game, or are the servers completely off? I agree with you. It isnt going to blow you away but for a fairly short experience it is enjoyable

The reason it got so much backlash on release is they gave up on the Mass Effect series. Which is a part of their main player base. Kudos on trying something new but it impacted Andromeda. Which impacted the player base of that franchise. Kotor, Baldur's Gate, Dragon Age, Mass Effect. (Bioware) These are what they're known for. Anthem spit in the face of the Mass Effect series. Baldur's Gate 3 saved face and what a great success and return to their roots. Now a possible Mass Effect (4?) in the works super excited 😊

15 months to make I’m Impressed. I played the shxt outta this game with friends back then now it’s empty as hell…Other than that I just fly around since it’s the only game I’ve experienced with descent flight mechanics

I remember I lost all interest in Anthem when it came out that common level 1 starter weapons were doing more damage than stuff people spent dozens of hours farming for. Kind of defeats the purpose of a looter shooter. Also I feel like Warframe gives you an extremely similar experience but just leagues better. I tried to play Anthem last year on PS4 but due to issues with my linked EA account it was literally impossible. Waste of 5$ and makes me mad when I think about it to this day.
