My old man, growing up, was big hunter. He started when he 10 years old. He mentioned that Sasquatch was real, I always asked him why, and would always say they just are. In my 25 years of life, he only told me the story of his encounter, in full, once. When he told me about it, he was very hesitant and had a horrible time telling. He, definitely has ptsd from it. He never bragged, and only told the whole the story to other person, my mother.

Many of the security personnel that watched over the ranch for Bigelow confessed to making up lots of stories. Even made it a point to come up with the most outlandish things possible to appease Bigelow as he was known to be a difficult person. Also, he was PAYING them and they needed a job so why wouldn't they lie for as long as they could? If I'm correct, Bigelow didn't really see much himself, a majority was secondhand info.

Then, about eight years ago I had a close friend that is a reputable guide/outfitter and he told me of a spooky night. He had packed in to a high mountain camp with nine hunters and his wife was with them. The horses broke out of there makeshift pen. He spotlighted a tall black creature chasing his horses across an open park. He said he NEVER had believed in Bigfoot and it really shook him up and the hunters refused to hunt and next day he brought the hunters down.

I was 14 years old when me and 3 of my friends saw a creature. It was in October 2003 in Ambler, Alaska. Tiny town in the middle of nowhere. All 4 of us saw him about 150 yards away, just walking nonchalantly up the hill. He was tall with reddish fur, he walked almost like a human, but faster and fiercer. I don't fit any of the stereotypes Joe mentioned: I'm an educated female who never once considered “big foot” as anything other than folklore. About 25 years ago, my friend and I were road tripping in Montana, near Glacier Park. We got off the main road to explore up a two-track. We drove across the river on a little one-lane bridge. While crossing the bridge, we looked down toward the water and walking onto the shore was a very large, very head-to-toe furry, tall gorilla looking.....thing. It looked up at us as we looked at it.. We both fell absolutely silent as we kept driving. After a few minutes of not talking, one of us spoke first, then we were excitedly talking over each other: "OMG!! WTF was THAT." Our brains immediately tried to override what we saw -Ummmm.....it was a fly fisherman, he was naked, he just happened to be super hairy....etc... It wasn’t until a few weeks later that we shared the story with someone, admitting what we thought it actually was. Funny thing, the stance it had was the cliche one you see in pics: mid-walk, looking toward us. Edit: this was in the summer, full daylight. Sunny, beautiful day.

I saw one when I was a kid off the hwy between Mackenzie and Prince George, British Columbia. It was running from the clearing into the woods. It looked like an elongated person, with longer arms and legs, patchy red hair all over and ran with a straight back, as opposed to leaning forward. There were no people around the area, just wilderness. I know what I saw. I screamed out 'sasquatch' - no one else in the van had seen it but my dad did slow the van down and asked me where I'd seen it. He was an avid hunter and he told me years later that he'd seen unusual footprints that spooked him enough to move camp years before my sighting. I've only recently started to disclose this to people because of the stigma and don't have any interest in the topic otherwise. I just know what I saw, as clear as day. I feel a little bad for people questioning and wanting them to be real because I wish I could show them what I saw.

@chltmdwp It depends on the story. I think it's beyond obvious that a bunch of the accounts will be mistaken bear sightings. I think it's fair to say ~75% of Bigfoot stories can be dismissed. But he's talking like every single story is a dark blur at night. I talked with an old native guy who thought he heard someone sneaking up on his horse corral and caught a Bigfoot with about 2,000 watts of flood lights 20ft away. You could tell the difference between a bear and an ape real easy if it's lit up like a Rolling Stones concert stage.

I live on Vancouver Island BC . Drive through Cathedral Grove where is was filmed. Seen a Sasquatch cross the 18 connected hwy about 7 years ago. I caught a glimpse ahead but when I hit the spot I did not see anything. It was 4:30 am on my way to work. Next I looked into my review mirror and seen it dart across behind the logging truck behind me. Yes so they do have the ability to mutate kinda like the movie Predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Im from POW Alaska and there’s 1000% something out there that we haven’t discovered yet..Me and my family canoed out to a small isolated Island to camp..In the middle of the night we woke up to something tearing through the thick forest coming towards us. Could hear the things feet thumping the ground,branches were breaking then it suddenly stopped and started throwing big rocks onto the beach near where we were camping..The scariest part is that we never heard it leave as loud as it was coming at us we should’ve heard it tear back into the forest but didn’t even hear a peep..We were the only humans on the small island. The black bear were in hibernation still..The forest is so dense and thick that no human could hike through it without flashlights at night there’s no way it was a human..If you haven’t been to south east Alaska it’s the most thick dense forest you’ll ever see there’s so many unexplored areas bigfoot could exist somewhere out there..

I have tracked big foot tracks for 3.5 miles in the moggion rim, bear canyon lake. I’ve seen shelter, had food taken, herd noises I can’t explain. And when I told authorities the forest service went and cleared the land and section I gave them gps for. I know because I went back 2 weeks later and it was cleared. They are real 100%. I know a logger who drives trucks and hit one. He told his boss, his boss said don’t tell anyone because it happened to a past driver and the authorities made life extremely difficult for the logging company.

Bears hustle all day up and down the river and the woods to get their food, that makes them some of the most visible animal in the forests, while 'bigfoot' is rarely seen. What gets me is the sheer number of witnesses who report seeing Sasquatch, it’s absolutely staggering. No other cryptid even comes close to the amount of sightings Big Foot gets. No one comes forward with sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, Mothman, or the Jersey Devil nor do people have footage of them. But they do with big foot. There’s tons of footage of Sasquatch, albeit not in high definition, but it’s out there. Plenty of trail cams have caught them, there’s a livestream of Yellowstone that’s got footage of a family of them trekking through the snow, and not to mention all the tracks that people find. I live in Northern California, I worked on a lot of weed farms up here. I’ve met tons of people who claim to have seen Big Foot. There are some communities where it’s not even a question if they exist, locals *know* they exist. Sightings are so common that it’s generally accepted that they are real. I’ve never seen one myself and I’m not 100% convinced they’re real, but if any cryptid is real then it’s Big Foot.

I’m from Montana born and raised, been hunting my entire life with my dad and 4 uncles. 3 of my uncles and my dad have all seen some creature that makes no sense to them miles back in the middle of nowhere. It's easy to dismiss something that you have never encountered. I once saw something, and had an encounter in a remote area, that I can't fully make good sense of. I'm still not really sure of what I saw that mid-summer day, but I did see a tall lanky guy (I think) run away and across that county road in two strides, then go busting through brush and thick brambles like a wild animal. Jumping up and just running like hell. There was no reason for anyone local to act like that. I was no threat to anyone, and most folks I see out in the county just wave at me and smile. I was alone then, and every time I go there I think about it because it just seemed so odd to me.

As insane as it sounds, I have began leaning more towards this concept of what we know as Bigfoot to actually be an interdimensional hominid. I say this because there have been instances of people walking in the woods just for the world around them to become gray and decrepit, and they described seeing a hairy hominid hand reaching over their shoulder as they stepped back in shock just for the world to go back to normal and in front of them they see a shimmering ripple like heat off the asphalt. Another instance was a group of cross country runners on the trails losing sight of their friend just to come up on him naked, his clothes folded neatly on a log nearby, walking into the woods. They yell for him and he breaks out of whatever trance he was in. He had said all he remembered was that he heard a growl and that it felt “calming.” That one scared the shit out of me .

I think these things are demons/fallen angels who can shape-shift into whatever creature is popular at the time, hence ancient stories about trolls and fairy’s etc. They are masters of deception. There purpose is to keep people distracted and directed away from the true battle between God and Satan.

Many coastal salish tribes believe in multi dimensions. They call it a changing of worlds. Because there is no death. Mind you, this is just traditional teachings. We tuck them away as a bit of Native wisdom and not necessarily that it's true. Now we also...taught stories as warnings for our kids and other reasons. The woods are a dangerous place to be. It's the classic child boogeyman stories to keep kids in bed or inside for their safety.

I'm from the PNW, too. The only story that halfway "convinced" me that Bigfoot was real, was from my friend Sonya, hours after she apparently saw it. She leaves super late at night to drive back to her house, MILES out in the middle of nowhere, and comes back to my friend's garage early in the morning, just chain smoking and coming in hot. Doesn't even say hi, just rushes in and goes, "well! I f*ckin saw it, dude! I saw Bigfoot". Just so pissed. 😂 She was an extremely skeptical person who didn't believe in ANYTHING. She would pitch people so much sh*t for bringing up anything that she personally couldn't experience herself. Apparently, she's going down the gravel road in the woods, comes around a corner, and sees this "f*cking HUGE" bipedal ape, covered in long, grey fur, standing on the side of the road and it absolutely dwarfed her car. She said it stared at her car for a bit, looked around, then literally walked right in front of her car, looking at her car a few more times as it crossed the road, and ran off into the bushes. All I know is that Sonya was a lot of things, but "liar" was not one of them. I believe that she was fully convinced that she saw this thing. She was mad about it, she was scared (but didn't want to admit it), and whatever she saw rocked her entire worldview. 😂😂😂

I know a lady that I worked with for years. Just a Steelers fan and loved baking cookies. One day after three years working together we somehow got on the topic and she told me how she saw one in the early 80s. She said she just froze because this giant thing you were always told wasn’t real is right there in front of you. When I asked if she wasn’t sure it was a bear she said, I know what a fucking bear looks like! Then she proceeded to give me shit and said this is why she never tells anyone because they all think you’re nuts or you just saw a bear. She said it was like 8 feet tall, smelled horrible and moved incredibly fast when it started to get going.

I can see why your coworker was mad, because Sonya was mad before she even said a word! 😆 Just furious that it had to happen to her, and furious that she just had this mind-bending experience that changed her whole outlook forever. You don't mistake something like that for a bear, especially up close with your headlights on and WATCHING it. This was a person who preferred to listen to other people's stories and sit back and laugh. She hated being the center of attention, was easily embarrassed-- so the fact that she peeled into the driveway and rushed into the house like that in the first place to make this crazy announcement, was just so entirely out of character. It's like she decided she just had to rip the Band-aid off and tell us right away, as bluntly as possible. I have known Sonya since 2005. I had never before, nor since, seen her as terrified, confused, or angry as she was that morning. If any of us had said, "ArE yoU SUrE iT wASn'T a bEaR?" she probably would've thrown something at our heads. 🤣🤣🤣

When i used to watching finding bigfoot. During the day they would hear something and identify it with their eyes, deer, elk , moose etc. At night every time they heard something but could see it, it was always a Bigfoot. How convenient 😆😆😆

Hearing all this makes me smile. It's been over a decade since an anecdote from a witness was told to me: This witness came upon a humanoid ape-like creature seated in the wild. The creature seemed to be nursing some sort of injury, rubbing itself and checking its hand for some sort of evidence. Unintentionally, this witness made their presence known, and it startled the creature. The creature emitted a loud, low growl, rose, and fled away from the witness toward nearby brush. As the creature traveled toward the brush, the witness relayed the air in front of the creature seemed to twist or smear, and it was into this twisted "passage" the creature fled before that space of air & flora quickly returned to normal. This incident occurred in Sequoia National Park late 1980s. This witness is a hunter. They were hiking, not hunting at the time.

I'm 65 When I was 15 my cousin and I were walking her German Shepherd down Wynn Rd. Dog started going crazy barking at a stand of trees. Being a couple of country girls we weren't scared and went to investigate. Walked up to the stand of trees and saw a tall hairy creature backed up into the stand of trees in the middle of that field. Like it was trying to blend in. Don't know how tall it was, (8-10?) but we had to bend our heads back to look up at its face because we walked right up to it before we realized it was even there. Dog was still going crazy the whole time. We could see its eyes looking down at us. It looked more scared than we were. We ran all the way home and never told our parents because back then adults didn't believe silly teen age girls. And yes, they're probably interdimemsional beings. That's why no one can get a good picture or catch one because of the glitching and them just going back in to the other realm..

I have a friend's brother who lives in Arkdale WI and its hunter country. And he explain that his in laws called him in panic one night, screaming for him to come over to their house right away....there was something outside. He came with his truck, gun in the middle of the night. And was standing about 25, 50 feet from this "unusual creature", yes creature.... he could sense that it was NOT a HUMAN and it was NOT a BEAR because he was close to it to see this VERY tall being.... it was kind of growling, and it was pissed. He looked down to reach for his gun, and in a split second it was gone...

I think it is. I live in Juneau Ak. A few years back we were standing around the camp fire about to go to bed. All of a sudden bowling ball sized rocks go flying over our heads and splashed in the creek next to me. It happened three times before we freaked out and got the hell away from kowee creek.
