Is Bottega Veneta changing the fashion game? Daniel Lee's Spring 21 collection explained/ tubaavalon

This collection was different from all other Bottega shows and those of other designers. Why?
A collection simply concentrated on certain products is the core of Daniel Lee's strategy. Shoes and handbags have always been Bottega's pillars and continue to be so. Even if we (me) cant handle the overall exposure on the brand thanks to social media - thanks to you Bottega for deleting your account also btw (no chance to tag it anymore) - we might be a little biased when it comes to this super-brand.
And i know i am a person with prejudices!
But i am actually pretty happy about this collection, because believe it or not - i feel like most of the people exposing this brand in a different manner -just didnt get it haha.
Anyways, its an extremely interesting show, watch it also without me speaking, trying to figure out the right words to describe this beauty.

After also seeing Prada's show, I believe this might be the year for even more knitwear and sweaters. From the mohair, the wool, the really loose fabrics, and the influence from the pandemic, meaning that people are looking forward to wearing much more comfortable clothes.

Definetely true, staying at home concluded to a much bigger amount of comfy clothes being worn than ever. I still would have liked seeing a little more different chrochets styles. But these were also ok.

The actual designs aren’t too inspiring but bringing back the kelly green and soft peach seem like a nod to the 60’s which I’m here for. I think not having a social media presence is so interesting because the market for fashion online is so saturated which can stifle one’s creativity.

i can not wait to see the knits irl, i‘m pretty sure we wont be too convinced of them. overall I still liked the show, the implementation and message of it.

I think this was probably my favorite Bottega collection. The knitwear is spectacular and I like that he is not staying in his comfort zone and tries to work with other materials.

I like how Danel Lee's approach is not staying on his comfort zone, compromising to sell same old best seller stuffs and choose move forward, to outdo himself season after season

I really like the new brand identiy. I lost a bit of interest in the “old bottega” (not because auf the brand but because later on many brands did what they did, so it became kind of boring) but the green branding sparked new interest in me lol (Not to offend someone, im not an expert of the brand)

I did not like the SS2021 Bottega. I wanted to like but it did not happen. Even the green shade he used was a No to me. Not my taste. SS2019 collection was much better and inspiring. Despite that I think the new collection is way too overrated. There are more inspiring SS21 collections and new designers/brands out there. edit: Some of my favorite SS21 collections: Charlotte Knowles, Celine, Baum and Pferdgarten, Acne Studios, Rick Owens...
