I am with you in the no tip when standing but with my own personal caveats. Example I brought in a party of 9 to an ice cream shop and the guys was just helpful and patient with all of the indecision so I tipped. If i see someone who is running a tight game for n the middle of chaos with a great attitude I am going to tip. It brings such a smile to their faces ❤

For the dinner situation, I’ve had a similar experience. Not with family, but with friends. I don’t drink, so my bill is usually much lower than most in the group if you itemize per person. With most of my friends, we just take turns paying, but if I’m in a larger group and close with everyone, I have a few strategies. If I’m close with the group, I just tell them I’ll pay for what I’m having because I budget. But that’s because I’m close with them. For those I’m not as close with or if it’s awkward, sometimes I’ll excuse myself early before the check comes (right after we eat) with an excuse and just say, “Here, this should cover my amount with a tip.” Or, if I’ve eaten with them before, I’ll have an excuse prepared and say to the group “I’ll probably have to leave early because of X, so I’ll need a separate check.” And then I’ll ask the server “Can you please bring my check with the food so I can pay right away?” Unfortunately, it does mean I leave these dinners early, but I don’t mind getting out a little early and not lingering.

@@kds0638 That is correct, you wouldn't say "I are going." But that is the verb you are changing. George was correcting her on the subject of the sentence. "Me and Winston" vs. "Winston and I" is the subject. That is where you can get rid of Winston (worry Winston!) to figure out if you should use me or I. Another example that people almost always get wrong is if she said "the waiter brought water to Winston and me." Me is correct here. Get rid of Winston and "the waiter brought water to me." He will never bring it to "Winston and I." I'm great fun at parties! Thanks dad!

I had the privilege of singing the National Anthem several times for baseball games. I was with a group. We did it twice at Three Rivers Stadium and twice at PNC Park (I think - it was awhile ago), and once for a Scrappers minor league game in Youngstown, OH. So a story of the experience of singing at Three Rivers, for those who are interested: We went to audition in February (a snippet of our audition was on the evening news - our five seconds of fame, lol). The sound setup there was a nightmare - worst singing experiences I've ever had. They had two microphones that four of us shared. Those microphones had literally ONE sweet spot: right at the center and within a few inches. If you moved away from that spot, your voice cut out completely, so picture four of us on two microphones trying to make this work. In addition, the sound came out of the speakers a FULL SECOND LATER! This messed with several people who were auditioning. They sang slower and slower, like they were waiting for the sound to catch up! Thankfully, when they built PNC park, they didn't use that sound system anymore!

If government school was GOOD, my children would be there. What government school really is, like everything government touches, is “too big to fail”. Problems? Children graduate illiterate? Just dump more money into the system. Look at the national report card. Things are not going well.

I found Rachel and read every book and consumed everything you put out and it changed my mindset! I had listened to Dave but he was "mean" to me 🤣 Now I get it. Now we're a team. Now we're millionaires and I'm part of the solution and not the problem. So we call it an allowance for a lack of better terms but I don't care anymore! Perspective! Thanks For helping me guys! My sister and I also both put about 75K of our own money into our home purchases. MY sister and I also had and continue to have great credit scores. Sometimes a good business plan just requires some vote of confidence from family when it’s earned in the form of co-signing. I do think co-signing for a car or other depreciating asset is a bad idea.

I agree with Rachel about property tax. As long as you own it you have no option to pay or it will turn into debt. It could be bare land that no one lives on, but it's still due. I feel it produces the same slave mentality as debt. It's different than income tax, utilities and other bills. You do have the option to cancel it or if you don't earn income there isn't a tax due for just being alive.
