This is what I did to my epson WF-7720 about a year ago, and wow I'm glad to see that they have it now for the P800.

I have to say the P800 is an awesome printer!

Jose, I cant find the video showing us how to install the software for the P800 to make them chipless. Did I miss this? Thanks for all you do! greg
@cheo19494 жыл бұрын
You didn't. I never made it. I am using the $400 chip decoder board from InkOwl so don't need to go chipless.

Great solution! Just like using reillable carts with the Epson 3880 - ink monitoring shows carts always as full and you need to keep an eye on them and fill up as required!

That is correct!

Love your videos. My p800 says ink cover is opened but it’s closed. Any ideas or tips to help. Thanks

I have the 7720. I just heard about chiplesssolutions but concerned if I run the test - it might screw up my printer. is it safe?
@dunnymonster5 жыл бұрын
I guess once you've enabled this you have to make sure you never " accidently " update the printer firmware again. Epson no doubt will push an automatic firmware update to counter this move which would likely deactivate your ability to use refillable ink.
@cheo19495 жыл бұрын
Actually it includes a FAIL SAFE system with a special "UNDO' Code that will bring you back to the ChipLess condition so you do not have to re buy a $60 serial number.

Jose, I am looking for reset key for epson r3000. I haven’t been able to find them at all. Can you point me in the direction for where I can order please?
@cheo19493 жыл бұрын
Reset key for what? Waste ink pads? Both inkchip and chiplesssolution have support for the r3000.

@@cheo1949 I thought for refillable cartridges I need reset key. I looked at childless solution and ink chip but I don’t see r3000 in the printer support list

I've been using it since March and not problems at all, just disable any update from epson.

Awesome to hear that. That is the kind of feed back I need to read.

@@cheo1949 oh by the way, if you accidentally update the printer, there is an option to restore it by backing up the "chipless firmware".
@cheo19495 жыл бұрын
Not just the Actual.FW but the Restore Code the installer provides you when you successfully install it.

Are any of you using a CISS with lines to external tank or are you using refillable cartridges only. Please advise!!! I've always used external tanks, since they're super easy to refill and keep an eye on...
@cheo19494 жыл бұрын
Depends on the BRAD. EPSON? No problem using both. CANON? Only OEM after modification if needed. No CISS unless it is extremely and ACTUALLY Custom Designed to that particular model. Other than the PRO-100 there are no other CISS that I would trust. www.inkproducts.com sells what appears to be a really good one for the PRO-100 that actually looks like it was designed for it and not just an adaptation of a generic unit that will basically kill your PRO-100.

Hi Jose Thanks for all the vidoes!! I just brought a p800 and I'm in Australia, do you know if you can use the firmware on printers sold in other Countries? Cheers Chris
@cheo19494 жыл бұрын
Why?
@chriscater81884 жыл бұрын
@@cheo1949 Here in Australia the suppliers for the auto reset carts are giving no guarantees with the auto chip reset carts. I guess some have failed.
@cheo19494 жыл бұрын
Only the North American p800 are locked against the use of third-party cartridge. I can't say whether the Australian ones are also locked or not. The only way to find out would be to literally just attempt it and you will not know if it works when a cartridge is declared empty. At which point you remove it from the printer refill it and when you reinstall it and it's supposed to then reset to full. If UT doesn't then you know. Unfortunately there's no way to guarantee it.
