The mystery around Columbina has to be my favorite about her character (I'll definitely miss it once everything is revealed). Everything about her is so cryptic, yet every piece of information we get about her is so intriguing. The only one who could top her is the potential 10th Harbinger.

I think the 10th harbinger definitely died or maybe irmunsl wiped like Scaramouche. But I also think that once we get to shneznaya and for us to be welcomed there, we are gonna be offered the position of the 10th seat so that we can walk freely there with not as much worries from the fatui

We beat most harbingers below 6 in a fight (Scara also but that took us like 140 tries) However I do think eventually we’ll be much more powerful then any archon at least but idk how strong we’ll be in sheznaya

I love the idea of Columbina, being the shade of death, knowing exactly how and when everyone dies and going around saying stuff like "You're not gonna believe what's going to happen next week" and leaving without any further elaboration, leaving everyone freaked out

The fact that she’s supposed to represent a dove, which is the total opposite of Dottore whose design is inspired of a crow really says something. It could be that when the time comes and an important decision has to be made, someone will have to choose whether to follow Dottore’s advice or Columbina’s.

She could certainly be a shade of Death, since it's implied in Fontaine that the shades had their light actually stolen from the primordial one, which explains her weakened state. And harbingers are placed on their usefulness, not only just power. And the clip in her hair looks like a faded crystalfly, she's the one singing over the coffin, seemingly joyous in death, and welcome to help with the Tsaritsa. Her goal is most likely going to cause a lot of Death, and that's what some of the Khane'riahn's want. Peace in death.

I think there's an explanation for her current level of power- I've heard the idea being tossed around that something happened to the 4 shades, either banishment or exile of some kind, maybe a disagreement with the Primordial One where most of them finally had enough of his bullshit and were subsequently banished for it, or it could align with how Neuvillette's vision story, it said that 'all fragments of the primordial were driven to devour each other.' (For the record, I didn't really look too much into this theory so I'd probably be skipping over some important context or evidence or whatnot, so I'm just stating an idea.) I think the theory ties the identity of the Shade of Life to The Goddess Of Flowers, who fell from the Heavens when the Seelie were expelled. In any case, going off the assumption that there was banishment of the Shades- that would explain why Columbina is only the 3rd Harbinger. Her power was likely diminished, similar to how Nabu Makalita probably went from a Celestia Envoy to just another god among dozens. It would also give her a good enough reason to oppose the Heavenly Principles, given they technically betrayed her and all the rest of the Seelie.

Makes sense if she was banished and the primordial one tooked some of her power......but the part where the shades/all fragments of the primordial one were supposed to devour each other sounds interesting, never heard of that(I don't have Neuvillete or did his story) But why? Do you think they tried to devour each other but the Primordial one wasn't gonna let that happen so he banished them all and tooked their powers away to not kill each other?

I don't think she is shad of death she is somehow connected to shad of death just like venti is connected to shad of time and have some power over time as well And egiria is connected to shade of life

But there's an overlap, Venti also has a few ties with death between Mondstadters and the people who worship him believing Barbatos will guide their soul, the symbolic meaning of feathers (specifically the white feathers)

What if she just hasn't shown her true powers? I'm thinking like Ulquiorra from Bleach where he pulled out a Dark Souls phase 3 and transformed into his full power. She might just be that carefree you never know.

Probably, Columbina for the most part the other Harbingers aren't thrilled to bicker with her and keep their distance. It's a bit like how many of the Sternritters were so scared of Gremmy that they don't even dare to look at him in CFYOW.

The reason why Columbina isn't the strongest character in the room it is because Neuvellete said that the Primordial one is weaken. So imagine how scare it is to know that even in her weakest form, she still the fatui number 3.... of course assuming if she is the shade of Death.

Well even if the primordial one is weak this still doesnt make sens take istaroth she is literaly so powerful and praised and she is the Mother of an literal archon and the shade of life Who also created an archon and also the sustainer hinted to be the shade of space she is extremely powerful so i dont think she is the shade of death unless someone made her weak on purpose

We still have no idea what happened to the shades, but if he needed the help of the second who came, the being is probably dead or incapable of doing anything. The Heavenly principles is gone since Khanreah disaster.

In the medieval opera that many of their names are based off of Columbina and Arlecchino are lovers but in the original Arlecchino was a man. Also in that opera they work together to secretly betray their higher ups. I know hoyo can't be too clear with the gay representation/romance implied with the pairing and their roles in the opera but they've had wlw characters in their franchises previously so hopefully they'll be able to do something even just subtle with that. It could be a metaphor where they want to be together but they can't for some reason (aka a metaphor for the censorship and laws against lgbt+ people) that would be really cool but might not happen

I think power comparable to gods simply applies to the combat power and we have seen that most of the gods weren't known for the combat. That's why I think in front of gods who were known for combat even fatuis are somewhat not that much. Like in front of Shogun which was just a puppet and not even ei, signora was simply helpless not even able to take a single hit. So in front of archons in their full power the top fatuis will simply put a fight and nothing else

Here me out We know Istaroth is a shade, she is clearly the shade of time as in Ei's quest we know she was aided by a being of "higher power/Istaroth" to plant the tree.. But if Istaroth is a shade, an all powerful being, why is she working in the shadows or better yet in places "where the gods gaze don't see". Well, I think it's because she has lost her "Divine Authority" of time. Through Neuvillette, we know the Primordial one was seriously injured and lost it's "Absolute Authority". What if in it losing that authority, it's shades also suffered greatly from that. Istaroth now unable to use her full powers over time manipulation, Sustainer still is trying to protect the divine principles but is slowly being corrupted by the will of the new throne, and Columbina (if she's a shade), stripped of most of her Divine powers. Here's a stretch.... What if, Istaroth is working in the shadows to replant the seeds of time (Primordial One's Truth), Columbina using the Fatui to shake the current throne, Sustainer setting the Traveller on a journey to unseal the shakles ("Unlocking the Teleport Waypoints") on her master, along with whatever the unknown shade is doing themselves just to break a curse or the control that may be placed over their master "Primordial One" by the throne that is currently seated. Off topic... What if the Leylines are the true constellations of the Primordial One, making Teyvat itself, the Primordial One and all the filth oozing out the Leylines is the corrupted state of the PO. What if, just like dragons can host a world inside themselves, Teyvat is a world inside the Primordial One... But with it severely injured, it's control (absolute authority) over this world it's hosting is gone.

off topic after seeing columbina singing on the Winter Night's Lazzo for the nth time. all the new archons so far have dual themes: Raiden Shogun - Twins Nahida - Reincarnation Furina - Body and Soul Murata - Resurrection Tsaritsa - Alter - Ego this might be a shot in the dark but i believe Layla is connected to the tsaritsa especially if you follow the Slime theory, and sus lines of Layla, saying "Cold mine to command" and "I'm currently on vacation, if you know what i mean." this is a pet theory of mine i have been keeping since her release and made me level her up to max and use her. i just love her playstyle and utility.

Death in Theyvat is not finale, I think death is closely tied to rebirth, which is more accurate. Once something die in Theyvat it always comes back as something else, it seems almost like a rule.

5:22 Well, remember that the Goddess of Flowers (one who is suspected to be the Shade of Life) worked with Deshret to directly fight the Heavenly Principles, and Istaroth (one who clearly has all the tickets to be the Shade of Time) helped Enkanomiya (a nation condemned by the Heavenly Principles), co-ruled over Mondstadt and also helped Makoto do something that completely went against the Heavenly Principles (the Sacred Sakura seeding), so it wouldn't be too strange having yet another Shade going against the Heavenly Principles, this one joining the Fatui...

5:22 Answering those questions (I could be wrong so please correct me if so.) Could it be that Columbina is a Seelie AND The shade of death? If so, going with the theory about the artifacts sets representing all the shades and feather being always an attack artifact... Nabu The Goddess of Flowers was also a Seelie so perhaps she was the shade of life? Also I can't take credit for this i've heard people say the exact same thing. Seelie is described more like a race than a mindless creature... Seelies also used to be very similar to humans before they were cursed. And last but not least, we have human archons (gods) why can't we have seelie shades?@@nethanelmartinezbisono4973

@@nethanelmartinezbisono4973 Why not. Shades are gods and can lose and gain power, there are theories that the Primordial One had some of the Shades destroyed. If they came back or survived somehow, nothing says that happened with their full power. That said, I am not sure about Columbina personally, it's possible but idk..
