Born in Sligo but raised in Galway and Sligo is by miles the most beautiful county in Ireland on a sunny day.
@aranthos2 жыл бұрын
Sligo is a county of two tales 1. The scenery and history are second to none in Ireland. 2. But it’s all let down by poor city infrastructure. The town of Sligo itself has not only been held back by the chamber of commerce for the last 25 years it’s actually regressed to the point that there’s only 1 commercial street remaining with even that having dipped business occupancy levels. It’s a shame as it could position itself as a Galway competitor for culture art and shopping had the opportunity of 2 economic booms not been passed over by cronyism.

Covid what is really going on? ======================= Covid is the SARS-CoV-2 Virus But the SARS-CoV-2 Virus has not been purified AND isolated AND genome sequenced end-to-end anywhere in the world. Pointless having a Test Swab as there is nothing to compare the test result too. PCR Test cannot identify a Virus. PCR Test is testing for nucleic acid which we all have in us. Face Mask is filling peoples lungs with Graphene. 5G is a Dual Communication Network and Weapon System. 5G signal can be focused on a defined area called Beam Forming for example the brain and/or the lungs where the Graphene will accumulate within the body. Thus Graphene on the Test Swab and in the Injection and the Contaminated Face Mask enters the body either the brain and/or the lungs and can be activated by the 5G signal at any time. Tragically activating the Graphene left inside the body will kill the person. Is this all part of the Depopulation plan? ------- ------- Pathogenic Protein Bioweapon. If anyone still thinks there is an airborne respiratory Virus there is no hope for these people! ======== ======== ======== Accurately detailed, though you should also add that, "Airborne" is not even possible for rona... Sunlight alone neutralises 99.99+% of all known viral entities upon immediate exposure, there are many other factors that also cause neutralisation but the sun is the most predominant,, (In layman..) all viruses can be traced to a small and very specific set of family viral entities, each family having certain fixed characteristics of which regardless of natural mutagenic possess can 'never' change or exceed its original base family characteristics,.. Of the apparent hundreds of thousands of "viruses" documented, there are at most just three to four family viral entities that have allegedly demonstrated the potential ability to go "Airborne", they are INCREDIBLY rare, they require a very specific set of environmental and opportune conditions to do so,.. And Rona is absolutely and demonstrably NOT a member of any such family with the characteristics to do so. Rona loves to mutate, it's what that family is most well known for, but is it known for being deadly (No!), can it become more than it is.. (No!), is it a member of any of the viral families with the characteristics to become (A) Deadly and (B) Airborne,.. No! and No! In fact the Rona family has been existing symbiotically with mankind for many thousands of years (Some would even say millions!) and modern clinical practices figured out around a century ago how to treat it,.. Just like any other common cold,.. Vitamins, Fluids and Rest! Though the above has been documented and taught within the field of Germ Theory for almost three hundred years, one is now suddenly a "conspiracy theorists" for acknowledging it, regardless of ones professional experience or credentials,... If one does not pretend that nearly three hundred years of documented Germ Theory has been rewrote in less than three months, just to suit a political narrative, then one is being swiftly censored. It is good to see that the general public are finally doing their research and discovering what none bought off and corrupted experts have been silenced for trying to say/inform(!) Thank you for doing the research and for being the voice of countless silenced professionals and experts. Thank you! ========== ========== Traditional bar of soap unfragranced unscented is the best of all. Liquid soap and all Hand Gels stay away from. country (culchie) accents aren’t vanished among young people but they’re definitely less common than among the older generations. 1. because there’s less and less people living their whole lives in the country, or in one particular town. 2. because there’s more integration not just with migration between counties but social media etc. do keep in mind this is filmed in sligo town though. if you go out to a village or meet a young farmer you’re going to have a far higher chance of hearing a strong culchie accent.

The young Sligo women at 14:20 sound like Americanised Dublin girls. A real shame because the West of Ireland dialects are beautiful, looks like they're being flattened by the Supranational norm :( Why do middle classes tend to turn away from local regional dialects? Is it a subconscious status thing? A disassociation with the local and a greater affinity with what they see as non-regionally defined national norms?

@@Tereyoc They don't sound like they're from Sligo, they have distinctly middle class supraregional accents. This accent originated in affluent Dublin areas and has spread rapidly over the last twenty to thirty years. It's actually rare that you'd find a middle class Irish woman under 35 who doesn't have this accent, even if they do retain or occasionally make use of a local dialect feature. I'm serious, get some recordings of young middle class Irish women from Kerry, Galway, Offaly, and see if anybody can tell them apart on a blind listen test. Then do the same test with recordings of working class people from those areas, or men over fifty from those areas. The researchers who created the 'Sound Atlas of Irish English' in 2004 actually said the majority of women under 25 they interviewed and recorded had this accent. I know it's not the end of the world, but linguistically and sociologically it's very significant

Considering that you have to weave you way through so much dog shit on the footpaths, I would say no to the question "Is Sligo The Poshest County In Ireland?". There is a lot of great natural resources near Sligo town, Rosses Point and Strandhill being short bus trips away and great to have Benbulben and Kocknarae too. Another good video, thanks Jamie.

Lovely folks the whole way through. Something extra sound about you Irish. :) Would someone please explain though why the ones actually from Sligo all have different accents? And would someone explain why someone like Hozier from Bray County Wicklow has practically no Irish accent? Except for a handful of phrases marking him as Irish he sounds practically Canadian to my own 🇨🇦 ears.
@catherine59392 жыл бұрын
Wicklow girl here. Generally there are just a lot of different accents in Ireland, and a lot of people move to different counties and bring their accent so you'll hear many accents in one place. For those with an American twang, I think it's the influence of America and their media. Unfortunately a lot of people have that accent from that, or just from travelling in general. From my own experience in Canada people couldn't understand me at all and you really have to tone down the accent so you're understood. I reckon people who live/work with Americans/Canadians lose the accent out of necessity. There's also a lot of young people who pick it up from media. I think the American influence on Irish culture is really sad as we're picking up a lot of their rhetoric while losing site of our own culture, history and values. Not everyone of course, but I feel there's definitely a general wash of America over a lot of things.
@eogo132 жыл бұрын
Even within such small place like sligo there are several accents. In the town theres are very harsh accent but in the country it gets really flat. I was born and raised in sligo, lived in the town before moving to the country, couple that with having a dad from northern ireland and i have a very unique accent. as for hozier, he sounds like a stereotypical Wicklow man to me, he plays down his accent in interviews sometimes, a lot of Irish people do, probably conscious of being hard to understand
