It even makes sense, technically. We’re not really given a concrete timeline of Shrek, but the period from when Fiona knocks Robin Hood out to when Shrek and Fiona got hitched could be anywhere from a couple of days to several weeks. It’s entirely possible that afterwards, RH brushed himself off and just considered it a failed kidnapping, and went on without a grudge. As for why he’d go to the wedding in the first place, he’s a thief who just found out that the woman who knocked him out was a princess about to get married. It’s an easy train of thought to go from that to “hey, I’ll just try to pick some of the guests’ pockets!”
