This is why even word choice is important when discussing theology. Say something long enough with no push back, it’s becomes the standard. I genuinely believe Christianity in the west needs a major reform. Academics and professionals need to be taken more seriously and be more dominant in the church. In my experience, a lot of pastors are unqualified and often only cause more problems, even if it’s small.

Just like biblical and historical evidence proves that jesus and his apostles were vegatarians biblical and historical evidence also proves that the trinity, atonement, original sin and hell are very late misinterpretations and are not supported by the early creed hence its not a part of Christianity I pray that Allah swt revives Christianity both inside and out preserves and protects it and makes its massage be witnessed by all people but at the right moment, place and time The secred text of the Bible says ye shall know them by their fruits So too that I say to my christian brothers and sisters be fruitful and multiply Best regards from a Muslim ( line of ismail )

@@theguyver4934Yeah no lol. Scholars and historians would certainly fight you on that. The trinity is definitely Christian doctrine, ofc you’re going to reject that as you only believe Jesus is a prophet, which since you’re a Muslim I imagine is your main reason. Hell doctrine does exist, the problem is how it’s interpreted and understood by moderns, that’s all. And if I’m not mistaken, don’t you Muslims believe in hell?

@@theguyver4934Also random, but I’m surprised you have such a positive view of Christians. The Quran makes it very clear not to be friends with Christians or Jews as they are friends with each other. That and most Muslims I see have a steaming hatred for both groups.

He’s right. God accepts each and everyone of us unconditionally. Does this mean he is pleased with everything we do? Of course not. Good parents accept their children unconditionally, but they do not approve of those behaviours which cause harm to themselves or others.

Jesus and the fig tree. Expecting fruit and not seeing it.

I have a hard time seeing God the Father as a "feeling" or "emotional" God, for the same reason that He cannot experience disappointment. Now, for Jesus, the Son of God, He is human, so, of course, subject to human emotions. How can we say the Father experiences emotion, when He already knows everything?

Good point but we were made in His image so in what way do we 'image' him?
@InfoAddict264 ай бұрын
Well the same reason when you know something good or bad is going to happen, when you in that moment, the reality of the situation will strike and cause heightened emotions. These are very human terms, idk if it’s fair to apply them to God, but I don’t think expecting a situation completely removes emotional reactions

@@InfoAddict26 So true. I just had to put my 17 year old dog to sleep and I knew it was coming and the way of things, but the grief of missing his presence was excruciating. I loved hard and grieved hard, isn't that God or am I making Him too human.

Knowledge of an another's experiences is called empathy. The more we empathize with others, the more we feel their pain. A parent's empathy for their children's pain - even though that empathy is far, far from perfect - can easilly be excruciating. God's empathy would have to be perfect and complete, otherwise he would not know everything. God logically has to feel our pain and sufferings at least as much as we do - and even more, as God experiences not only your and my sufferings down to levels we are oblivious to (such as on the cellular level, and suffering across large populations and communities and worlds). If God is all-knowing, it simply has to be the case that God knows every pain we suffer, to the point of suffering - in their entirety - for himself. A God aloof from our experience would not be all-knowing. An all-knowing God would have to know more about us than we do, including understanding fully - experiencing - our pain even more deeply than we do. An all-knowing God would simply have to experience every single thing we experience - and profoundly more. No one suffers as much as God, because God knows completely - to the point of personal experience - every suffering throughout all creation.

@@BarbaraDiederich-ut8zgSorry to hear that, I lost my dog years ago as a young kid and it broke me. I knew it was going to happen, it still crushed me. My mom had to take me out of the house because it was too much.
