To answer your question. Yes, Steve Perry is the best male rock vocalist of all time. I’ve seen him live and listened to all of his vocals. You can’t find a rock n roll male vocalist who compares to Mr. Perry’s natural, God given vocals. He is a once in a lifetime artist. Of the 9 billion people on planet earth, his voice is incomparable. 🙂

Would you believe that my time hearing and seeing was on PBS back in 1977. I fell head over heels with him and that voice. My boyfriend at the time also a musician told me about Journey. When I found out this was Journey this was my favorite of all time. Except when he left.

But there is just something about Steve’s voice that can’t be copied 🤔🎶🎤 He is rhythmic for sure, and has such an ear for all that. This is why since the 80's when I was a teenager they said his Voice is Phenomenal and as the decades went on even other Artist like Mariah Carey said his Voice is Phenomenal. Other artist say that not even Mariah Carey could out do Steve Perry and I consider Mariah up there maybe a close SECOND. Steve Perry to me is the BEST VOCALIST of ALL TIME!!! The GOAT. Years ago, my husband and I would listen to Steve, Elton, Freddie Mercury, Billy Joel, George Michael, and Lou Graham to compare. Although these are all top-notch, we found Steve to have the best overall vocals. It was definitely close, and all are super stars, obviously, but that's why they call him "the voice."
