Hey brother, resuming from yesterday, I watched up till 1hr and 4 minutes but now will watch the rest. Very Good explanation on all of it! I do not know what I really believe about the afterlife because there’s so much swaying with different preachers but I will say this is much more convincing. And I think you have on point the part about sleeping until judgment day in the earth. Although I do have a question that honestly I know I am not supposed to worry about things of the past but since my grandma was cremated actually in the last year she died November before last and I was wondering. Is cremation something that prevents being raised up ? Seems like a dumb question for me to ask but just wondering.. I know it’s not really for me to worry about but just curious Edit it was her idea to be cremated. I didn’t really like the thought but i also don’t believe in keeping ashes because it seems like not letting go when I know I should, so her ashes are with one of my uncles who is still living, likewise with my other deceased uncle his ashes are with my grandpa

Also this all makes sense what you are saying because the devil is on the earth and so are the demons, I never heard in the Bible of the devil or the angels when they are cast out being sent into hell at that time or I rather should say the lake of fire.. this does make sense

Hi there, and thank you so much for watching the video and sharing your honest feedback. Thank for that excellent question! I believe people can be cremated and still be resurrected, no doubt. Look at what Paul wrote: "50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed- 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality." 1 Corinthians 15:50-53 NKJV So, according to Paul, "flesh and blood" will not inherit the kingdom of God, but God gives us new bodies at the resurrection. Those who are alive are "changed," meaning, transformed by being given new bodies, incorruptible bodies, and the ones who are dead will be raised with those new bodies as well. This indicates that God is not going to use the same physical particles that we are made of now. Paul calls it a spiritual body: "42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit." 1 Corinthians 15:42-45 NKJV How exactly does that look like? Well, there's mysteries here that we will only know when we get there, but I trust that God will not disappoint us. Jesus ate with His disciples after His resurrection, and He repeatedly invited them to touch Him (Luke 24:36-43; John 20:26-29; 21:1-14). In His case His body carried the marks of His crucifixion but I believe those marks will always be there for eternity, they are the sign of the price of our redemption (Zechariah 13:6). The gospels clearly teach that He did things after His resurrection that a normal human being does not do, like going thorough locked doors and appearing and disappearing before their eyes (John 20:19; Luke 24:30, 31). So we probably will be able to do things with our resurrected bodies that we cannot do with our current bodies, since Paul says we will have a body similar to the body of Christ: "20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself." Philippians 3:20, 21 NKJV Looking forward to that day 🙏🏽

Good point. The Bible does say that Satan and his angels were cast to the earth (Revelation 12:9). There's a passage in Peter that is many times misused in my opinion, but we need to recognize it here: "4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly;" 2 Peter 2:4-6 NKJV The word Peter uses in verse 4 and that is translated as "hell" here is the word "tartaroo" that he borrowed from Greek mythology. It refers to the place of the dead, the underworld, etc... However, he quickly explains what he means by that: "delivered then into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment..." The fallen angels are in darkness ever since they rebelled from God and they are dreading their judgment day (Matthew 8:29; James 2:19). They know they will suffer in the lake of fire and be destroyed, just like the ungodly human beings: "But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly people." 2 Peter 3:7 NASB So using 2 Peter 2:4 to say that the fallen angels are in hell right now seems to me a false reading of the text based on a poor translation. Blessings!

I love you my dear brother! I was at a new church and someone asked me what I believed and I was not prepared to start a big discussion and that is exactly what I heard that snide What about the rich man what about what about you are calling Jesus a liar etc. I was getting hit from 3 sides luckily I had my one Bible that had all the verses you list highlighted. They kept denying and rewording every verse with "the body" only your body dies! Yes your body goes to dust but you go to heaven yadda yaada Nothing got through until I used acts where Peter says David has not ascended into heaven. And again it says he is both dead and buried. And In John Jesus tells the jews I am going where you will seek me and shall not find me where I go ye cannot come and he thought he had me until I showed him John 13 Where Jesus told Peter and the disciples "As I said to the Jews wither I go ye cannot come so say I unto you! And I showed him we cannot live until we are changed as 1 for 15 says that was the only way I could get through to them.

So glad we are having this discussion amongst the body of Christ ! With all the symbolic apocalyptic hyperbolic language ‘ in the New Testament. We need to be very careful how to interpret these passages after having preached on the streets for over 25 years, eternal, conscious torment of the wicked, I have now changed my views, now, believing conditional immortality ! / we should not divide over this issue after all, we’re talking about events that happen in eternity/ watch the movie Edward fudge and HELL/ also brother Chris date crushes all of his opponents that are defending eternal, conscious torment / all of the big, apologetic scholars that deny conditional immortality refuse to debate him’ most notably, Dr. James White of alpha and Omega ministries😮

Hi pastor, so if someone dies and falls asleep, and they have no thoughts or anything, will the time spent in the grave until the last day feel instantaneous to them? Like, in theory, one would die and then feel as if they were immediately raised from the day because to them, time was not percieved while they were dead. So in a sense, you would die and then go straight to heaven lol. Would love to hear your thoughts on this :)

Hey friend, yes, I believe the same. I just don't say "you die and go straight to heaven" to avoid confusion, but in the way you are saying it here I agree fully, meaning, your next conscious thought, even if it's 1,000 or 5,000 years after your death, is seeing the coming of Jesus at the resurrection of the just (for the righteous of course). I speak about it in this video around minute 27:18 😉 Thanks so much for your comment 🤗

You are part of the SDA (Seventh Day Adventists) They deny: -Denies the doctrine of predestination -Denies the immortality of the soul. -Denies the eternality of hell. Aberrant teachings- -Our sins will ultimately be placed on Satan. -Jesus is Michael the Archangel. Worship must be done on Saturday (the Sabbath). -On October 22, 1844, Jesus entered the second and last phase of His atoning work. Investigative Judgment - the fate of all people will be decided based upon this event in the future. -The dead do not exist anymore - soul sleep. -The unrighteousness are annihilated. -Ellen G. White, the “founder” of Seventh-day Adventism, was a messenger from God gifted with the spirit of prophecy. -There is a sanctuary in heaven where Jesus carries out his mediatorial work.

What you call aberrant teachings I see clearly presented and taught in the Bible: 1) Predestination I believe in biblical predestination, which allows for freedom of choice even if God is sovereign in salvation. Whatever you believe about predestination, if that removes human freedom of choice, you are believing a lie (Mark 16:15, 16; John 3:16; Luke 7:30; Acts 17:30). 2) Immortality of the soul That's a pagan teaching, completely unbiblical. Only GOD has immortality as Paul wrote. We are given eternal life if we believe in Christ: “Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die. Ezekiel 18:4 NKJV And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28 NKJV For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 NKJV For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 NKJV who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen. 1 Timothy 6:16 NKJV 3) Eternal hell Not a biblical doctrine. If you look at all the Bible says about the end of the wicked it's pretty clear. Ashes don't suffer eternally, please read the Bible carefully. Have you watched the video? You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this,” Says the Lord of hosts. Malachi 4:3 NKJV And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28 NKJV These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power 2 Thessalonians 1:9 NKJV But the wicked shall perish; And the enemies of the Lord, Like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish. Into smoke they shall vanish away. Psalm 37:20 NKJV 4) Sins ultimately placed on Satan Have you ever read Leviticus 16? Do you believe that the second goat that is sent to the desert is a symbol of Jesus? That would be a very wrong theology. The first goat is for the Lord, and is sacrificed, a symbol of Christ. The second goat for Azazel. Sin was transferred symbolically from the sinner (and sinners, the whole people of God) to the Sanctuary and to the priests throughout the daily sacrifices during the year. On the day of atonement the sins of God's people were taken away from the sanctuary and separated from the people forever. The whole ceremony points to Christ and His mediating work, of how He deals with the sin of His people and eventually will banish sin forever. This in no way diminishes Christ and His work, on the contrary. Sin is always payed for twice. Jesus payed for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2). Still, the wicked people who reject His sacrifice will pay for their own sins in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15). Their sins are payed for twice. How about the sins of the saved? They were payed by Christ on the cross and eventually will be payed by Satan in the lake of fire. Why do you think that the devil is so desperate to get people on to his side? 5) Jesus is Michael, the Archangel The Bible is clear that the voice of Jesus is the voice that will raise the dead (John 5:28, 29). That voice is said to be the voice of the Archangel in 1 Thessalonians 4:16. Michael means "Who Is Like God" and Christ is like God and He is God. Every time the name Micheal appears in the Bible, He is fighting with the devil and overcomes the devil. Not even Gabriel was able to defeat Satan in Daniel 10, only Michael. In Jude 9, the Bible shows that Michael rose Moses from the dead. He is the chief/head/commander "arche" of the angels "angelos." They obey Him and worship Him. What you see as something that diminishes Jesus I see as something that exalts Him, but most importantly, that is revealed in the Bible. I believe in the full divinity of Jesus Christ, who is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit and the fact that He is called Michael in the Bible in the context of war against Satan does not affect my belief in His deity, on the contrary. Jesus has many names in the Bible, and those names reveal different aspects of His character. He His the Commander of the army of the Lord that appeared to Joshua and commanded him to take the sandals off his feet (Joshua 5:13-15). 6) Worship must be done on the Seventh-day Well, I worship God every day of the week, but I do believe God has set aside the Seventh-day as the Sabbath for us to rest and worship free from secular work. Jesus restored the meaning of the true Sabbath and gave it back to us as it should be kept in the first place. He went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day regularly to teach and He healed people showing God's love and compassion on that holy day (Luke 4:16; Matthew 12:1-14). You can read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and you won't find one single command or precept that encourages us to keep Sunday as holy. But the Bible does say that if you break one of the ten commandments you are breaking all of them (James 2:10-12). Why attack the Sabbath commandment only out of the ten? And if we can take that one out, why can't we take the others? For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3 NKJV Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Revelation 14:12 NKJV 7) 1844 How else do you explain the 2,300 day prophecy of Daniel 8:14? I would love to hear your thoughts. 8) The dead do not exist anymore - soul sleep Jesus was clear when He spoke about His friend Lazarus that had died: 11 These things He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.” 12 Then His disciples said, “Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.” 13 However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep. 14 Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. John 11:11-14 NKJV Solomon was also clear: 5 For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished; Nevermore will they have a share In anything done under the sun. Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6 NKJV 9) The unrighteous are annihilated See answer to point number 3. Consider a few more passages: For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, But it shall be no more. Psalm 37:10 NKJV 18 “You defiled your sanctuaries By the multitude of your iniquities, By the iniquity of your trading; Therefore I brought fire from your midst; It devoured you, And I turned you to ashes upon the earth In the sight of all who saw you. 19 All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you; You have become a horror, And shall be no more forever.” ’ ” Ezekiel 28:18, 19 NKJV 10) Ellen G. White, the “founder” of Seventh-day Adventism, was a messenger from God gifted with the spirit of prophecy. Ellen White was one of the founders, or pioneers of Seventh-day Adventism, not the sole founder. Yes, Seventh-day Adventists recognize in her the gift of prophecy. The Bible is clear that this gift would be present in the Church in the last days (Joel 2:28-32; Revelation 12:17; Revelation 19:10). None of the Seventh-day Adventist fundamental beliefs are based on her writings. The 28 fundamental beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church are based on the Bible. 11) There is a sanctuary in heaven where Jesus carries out His mediatorial work. Yes Sir! You don't need Seventh-day Adventists to tell you that, just read the Bible: 1 Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man. Hebrews 8:1, 2 NKJV Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25 NKJV 23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be [j]purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us Hebrews 9:23, 24 NKJV Yes, I am a Seventh-day Adventist and more than that, I am a Seventh-day Adventist Pastor. Have been for almost 20 years. But I will have to stop being one if you show me through the Bible that I am wrong, and that the Bible teaches the contrary of what I believe. My faith is captive of the Word of God. Jesus and His Word are everything to me, men's opinions, traditions and dogmas are nothing compared to the Holy Scriptures. In all honesty, nothing you wrote to me so far was enough to move my convictions by even one inch. The fact that the majority in the Church believes one way is not enough to make it right. I pray you may be sincere and read the texts above without prejudice. They called the first Christians a sect too (Acts 24:14). So what people call me and my faith matters very little in the long run. Blessings, grace and peace to you.

Paul said "God, who alone is immortal...." in several of his letters. So, no, we are not immortal. We don't have eternal life till we eat from the "Tree of Life" in the last chapter of Revelation.

Yes. The way I see it we have eternal life now as a promise from God if we believe in Christ (Titus 1:2; John 5:24). Or we can say we life with the hope of eternal life and even the assurance of eternal life if we are in Him (1 John 5:11-13). But quite literally, the eternal and incorruptible life starts at the resurrection (1 Corinthians 15). So yeah, I agree with you that we are NOT immortal, as I say in the video, only God is, but we have conditional immortality if we believe in Christ and it doesn't shock me if people say we have eternal life in Christ because of the reasons I mention above. So the rich man and Lazarus, it was never stated as a parable? The way I hear it was this,…. Jesus never named real names in Parables, and in Luke 16:19-31 he names multiple real people 1. Lazarus the beggar 2. Abraham 3. Moses 4. The Prophets. Jesus clearly was teaching about the reality of eternal conscious torment in hell. A parable has a specific format something unknown/not understood is explained by comparison with something known/understood. The story of Lazarus and the rich man does not have such a comparison. Anyway it’s late but just a few thoughts that I’ve read along the way. I’ll give this a full listen tomorrow at work. Appreciate the discussion and time you put into your videos.

Hey, thanks for commenting! I'm looking forward to your thoughts on the whole video. I really don't think that Jesus was teaching about eternal conscious torment, the lessons that people are to take from the parable are so clear but normally ignored. I mention them in the video (see 1:08:01). The rich man and Lazarus seem to be fictional characters to me. Jesus did raise a true Lazarus from the dead (John 11) and the Bible never mentions that this one was a beggar, on the contrary, he and his family had enough to provide shelter and food to Jesus and His disciples when they were in Bethany (Luke 10:38-42; John 11:1-3). The main issue is we are all wicked. If you think God is going to torture the average atheist guy, the guy born in China who has no idea about the Gospel or the the jews that already got tortured while here on earth. ..But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed'' . How can you store up wrath for infinity ? Not to mention the Bible speaks about Soveiregn election and Grace and God granting repentance, so it's not really ,, for free ''. ,, Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” '' , ,, Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. Paradise was a reference to sheol, not heaven. No one who died b4 Jesus sacrifice on the cross went to heaven. Hell has compartments, probably 7. Lazarus & the rich man was real, parables dont have proper names. Jesus soul & the thiefs soul were in Paradise together after their death just as Jesus said.

For someone who has studied for 25 years and as a Pastor…I find your teaching to be confusing and misleading. You are giving some truth but not all of it. Before the crucifixion, people who died were all buried. (Their bodies) The believers (souls) went to Paradise and the non believers (souls) to Hell. In Paradise their (souls) were in the bosom of Abraham. In Hell their (souls) were tormented day and night. At the crucifixion Jesus Died and His Soul went to Hell for 3 days and 3 nights and When he was resurrected he took the souls in Paradise to Heaven with him. Those souls in Hell, remained. At the great white throne of Judgement: when all non believers of Jesus Christ will be judged, they will move from Hell and be thrown into The Lake of Fire for eternity. This is known as the 2nd death. As a Believer, you die only once, because you were born twice…. So when a non-believer dies their soul will go straight to Hell. A non-believer is born only once and will die twice. And a Believer today their soul will go straight to Heaven until the rapture. Everything stated here is in the Bible, The Holy Scriptures…

Its an assumption those removed from hell go into the lake of fire. You can not prove it with scipture. Judgement does not mean condemnation. Only 3 go into the lake of fire per scripture & their smoke rises forever so the lake of fire is eternal. I accept that presumably some will take the mark but i do not think its any of adams race as all of adams race was saved by Jesus on the cross as scripture states repeatedly all through the new testament.
