May Allah make it easy for us all. I am in the same position, I am planning my transition to the motherland Somalia this year 2023, mid-late end of this year inshaAllah. Its difficult and will be an arduous process but like the Prophet SAW said when he was living Makkah to make Hijrah to Madinah “O Makkah, I love you but I have to leave you”, I too have to follow this same footsteps, as I have benefited a great deal from the West, but my heart needs to go to a Muslim land and what better than my homeland, Somalia. There is a reason Hijrah wipes away all previous sins and is always made equivalent as Jihad, as it is a struggle. Let’s start looking at Hijrah as an opportunity, a golden one. One that not everyone is chosen for amongst the Muslims, as some/most probably will never make the journey, a journey that has so much reward. So even making is such a major step. We should constantly renew our intentions and remember why we are going through this journey and to trust the process (for Allah SWT sake and to save your Eeman) and you can do it! I pray that Hijrah becomes possible for us all and for us to aide and fully embed ourselves to our motherand, Ameen.

Much needed topic of debate, asking many of the Ulama about this in the west always seem to brush it off or ignore it when it is actually a proactive long term solution for the ummah. We can go deeper and speak about our financial aid of the kufaar throughout our entire lives via taxes and how can we answer for that in front of our Lord when we can remove ourselves. Also Hijrah is not physically as difficult as it sounds and undoubtedly life is easier because ones life is not full of the stress of the dune. جزاكم الله خيرا

Many western families would like to have a list of countries to consider when thinking about hijrah. What tangible options are available? Hijrah has been discussed often but without mentioning lands. Perhaps, it's time to be more specific and name some. Morocco, KSA, Egypt, Indonesia, etc... Maybe a Hotseat with guests who have lived in various muslim lands and the pros and cons of it and things the families should be aware of before setting out.

@Ahmad Shaikh Wa alaikum salaam. I think you misunderstood my comment. Saudi Arabia has been good to me and my family. That's why we've been here 8 years. My comment was referring to other western families not necessarily my family that would like to know what options exist. Saudi is one of the more difficult countries to gain long term residency in due to restrictions. There's absolutely no problems with praying here masaajid are everywhere.

@J A have you planned to move to Saudi Arabia? Or you still studying? Also I think most western women will not adjust living in Saudi Arabia! I mean the culture their is very different than the USA! I’m afraid that they’ll not like it there!Also have you heard about other reverts experience with moving to Saudi with their families? JAK

Praise be to Allah. The hadeeth mentioned was narrated by Imaam Ahmad in his Musnad, al-Tabaraani in al-Mu’jam al-Kabeer, and Ibn Hibbaan in his Saheeh, with a jayyid isnaad from Abu Umaamah al-Baahili (may Allaah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), who said: “The bonds of Islam will be undone one by one. Each time one bond is undone, the people will move to the next one (and adhere to that). The first bond to be undone will be ruling (al-hukm) and the last one will be prayer (al-salaah) Peace and Guidance..

People want to make Hijra possibly from the UK, USA and France, great. Have we forgotten so soon how people emigrated and joined ISISI? Which muslim country welcomes people genuinely and consider them as one and equal, the way the people of Medina received the early muhajiroon? Which muslim country is stable? Is it Saudi where the voices of critiques are silenced, so where are people encouraged to emigrate to? Where exactly is that Muslim state that is like Medina at the time of Prophet Muhammad?

Assalamu alaikkum. This is the letter to Ustad and Sajid. I regret and apologize for commenting (without listening, just viewing the title)to one of my friends saying this episode is a highly mature content and some of the youths may bring troubles to their parents with regards to hijrah. After listening completely I regret for having commented. Yet, I request the host to make some conditions at the beginning or on the title itself.

He is absolutely right about not being able to practise Islam to the extent it is supposed to to even protect your individual rights Islamically. I went through a divorce three years ago from my ex-husband who after I married him, had deceived me and indicated he did not want to have children and it was on this grounds and his other behaviours that I asked for talaq. The mashayekh in my community said to me, unfortunately he wont give you your talaq and we can't give it to you either because in this country we dont have the power to force him to pay you the remainder of your mahr and compensate you for him deceiving you. They told me that I'd have to apply for khulu' and forfeit the remainder of my mahr and not be compensated for all that he put me through. I live in a western country. Three years later, the pain of the injustice still eats away at me, now 39 years old, still unmarried and not knowing if I'll ever have the chance to become a mother.

Shouldn't this issue be reiterated to the muslim leaders who should welcome and make it easier. Obviously we should have Tawakul Allah however people want to feel they've strived towards doing something stable. How many times have we heard about visa issues, or a corrupt sponsorship or the job that met its end so therefore the person had to return unexpectedly ect. Can we have practical directions or someone set up an agency with all the background work. I'm happy to help. Let's make a start !
@RS-xo7cl4 жыл бұрын
Exactly, it's easier said then done. The speakers should check out the practical side of things and offer a practical advise, not theoretical. Theoretically we all want to live in a Muslim country. However I've heard so many Muslims who tried hijra saying you can practice Islam easier in the west then in a Muslim country. How messed up is that?

Summary of this podcast In this debate, the Sheikh bases his arguments on knowledge, providing evidence from the Quran, Sunnah, authentic Hadiths, and supporting his points with statistics, tangible evidence, and fatwas from renowned scholars. On the other hand, our dear brother's arguments are driven by desires and emotions, relying on unrelated proofs, emotions, and probabilities. Make Hijra, because it’s what prevents your Deen and your generation to come. Don’t mislead a whole generation because of a short income your are having at the time. You can protect your religion at this time, because your parents stayed and raised you in an Islamic environment. But you can’t be able to do that for your children, because they are raised by non believers in schools and the people they are associating themselves with. Surely, if you risk your children’s Jannah, you will questioned about it.
@ummyousef2304 жыл бұрын
Those worrying about gaining citizenship in Muslim countries are missing the point of making hijrah! You need to go back to your country of origin! Then there is no need to worry about visa restrictions.
@yusralouhi27883 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. But what about converts? I made hijra 16 years ago to Algeria ( the country my husband comes from). I have no right tp get ever a passport, no right to property, no business, nothing.It's very injust! No one helps you, on the contrary, they are jealous when you are from an european country. I'm glad my children grew up here far from western brainwashing but if something happens to my husband, may Allah protect him, amin, i will be in a very, very bad situation.

Assalamu alaikum I am a revert and I am convinced of what has been said here regarding Hijrah and I sincerely want to make it (ideally to Saudi or the Gulf) however i am still studying and soon to graduate in a little over a year from uni, and want to establish finances to eventually make hijrah. However i fear this is not even possible given the fact that citizenship let a lone residency in all the muslim arabic speaking countries that i am aware of is not available hence I wouldnt be able to establish sustainable roots anywhere and would have to continue hopping from country to country, which I personally dont mind, but i fear the tarbiyyah of any children Allah grants me would be severely hindered as a result of this. Anyone have any suggestions? Inshallah i would love to hear of any ideas
@talibunajat81784 жыл бұрын
I will say that it is better for you to be hopping from country to country as you said. My advise will be that you do Hijra and Allah will make things easier for you. Moreover, you never know what will happen in the next 10 to 20 yers. It is very likely that those countries you mentioned will start giving out permanent residency and citizenship eventually. Another advise will be that you should think of going to other Muslim countries like Turkey(they do offer citizenship and residency I think) and Malaysia is also another alternative. The aim of Hijra is not just the Arabic itself but the islamic environment. North Africa is also another option if you really want an Arab country. Countries like Morocco,Algeria, Egypt to name a few

@@talibunajat8178 I wouldn’t recommend anyone to live in the gulf (I was born there) unless they can afford a place in Mecca or Medina... so much crackdown on religious behaviour (much worse than the west).... I would recommend Malaysia as I’ve been there, and there’s a lot of access to remote life away from the hustle and bustle of big cities (Masha Allah) there are huge religious God fearing communities. But my first choice would be Africa as there a better chance of living a remote clean life (farming, nomadic) the choices are endless. May Allah assist us all in making our intentions a reality.
