Pump doesn’t work for natty lifters. You can get a pump walking up a flight of stairs doesn’t mean your legs grew. Progression matters. If your first month you’re curling 10lbs for 10 reps and month 6 10lbs for 12 reps you didn’t gain much muscle

I think this kid has really good mind muscle connection and instinct. He's obviously focusing on range of motion that pumps the muscle as much as possible. That's usually something you see more veteran bodybuilders do. I think the whole "proper range of motion" argument gets a little too much attention. We all have to react to our individual bodies' geometry and tendon capabilities. This kid is trying to pump up, I think he's feeling his way, and that's good, IMHO.

I think the argument is all about the perfect balance between what's "optimal" and what's "fun" for you at the gym: Obviously, training with proper technique and full ROM is the most optimal way to train for 99.999% of the people, but you obviously have to also find something you like, something that's fun, so that you keep doing it for the long run.

I find his volume to be fine especially at his age,I did the same as well.Worked great for me back than with a 5 day rest period while hitting chest and triceps.seems he’s taking the Arthur Jones,Mike and Dorian style of training. Many body builders I’ve meet and trained with used that style for bulking. And than spreading out the volume during the week for cutting. He seems to be the on right path with cardio also just has a bad diet. With peds you can get away with a lot of things but they catch you later on….

I think there's a lot of merit to the idea of, "When your form breaks down, modify the lift to keep going." Something that I've experienced over the years of lifting, is that you're not using one singular muscle to perform your lift. So when you hit "form failure", you're not necessarily hitting failure on the specific muscle you're targeting. An easy example is bicep curls, the very bottom of the lift puts a massive amount of tension on the forearm, and you can fatigue/fail at your forearm, before achieving full failure in the bicep. A slight swing, or partial rep (not extending all the way down), limits the involvement of the forearm, and can let you hit the last few reps to fully fail the bicep. - Did you do it with bad form? Yes you did, but if "good form" is stopping you from completely failing the targeted muscle, then the form is acting counter to your goal. In a way, it's good form, to use bad form.

Let’s face it, Sam can train like this, get results and not hurt himself because he’s on a truck load of gear. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a pec tear, bicep tendon issue, shoulder problem or similar in the near future. In the long term probably a tragic early death like many others, or at the very least some serious health issues.

@@pedronavarro4653 maybe, people respond differently. My point is if you’re not on anything there’s no way you could train and eat the way he does and keep it up. PED’s can massively speed up recovery which makes a huge difference to being able to train hard constantly.

@@gacjones I have trained similar to or harder than that that without gear. It's overtraining. My body felt destroyed after a year of that. I was lucky not to have any serious injuries though. My body was shaking constantly and my muscles were twitching all the time, all kinds of weird things happening. Took me over a month and a half of very light training to recover. I still lift very hard, but I listen to my body more. Even on heavy roids you might overtrain if you push too hard, but almost definitely will natural, and I'm a beast, bigger and stronger than most dudes on gear for sure. I would have gotten injured if I wasn't a beast honestly. Don't do it, bad idea. I learned my lesson.
