@@CarlJohnson-iv7sn the guy is literally more roided up than a race horse, puts his 100% unachievable through natural means physique on social media for millions of people to see in order to appease his ego, and literally never says one word about the one single factor that contributes the most toward his gains. That behavior is what’s responsible for the “negativity” he receives, because it’s no different from a gamer visibly high on lethal mixes of amphetamines that shows his “mad reflexes and clicking skills”.

I don't think dairy is causing his skin issues. But we would need a more comprehensive look at his history with acne pre steroids.

Greg is spot on 100%. When I was in my teen to mid 20 years, I had the same exact diet as Sam and I was unknowingly damaging my body. Eventually it caught up to me when I was around 25 and started to develop a lot of problems like excessive spitting every morning from all the sodium that was in my body and I developed acid reflux and vomited quite often. Thankfully, I cut out all those garbage foods completely and consumed some natural herbs such as Ginger and Aloe Vera and my body was able to do a full reset. Now I am back to normal and not taking this second chance for granted and continuing a good well-balanced diet and exercise. Sharing my little testimony to help other people so that way they don't freak out and go to the hospital and avoid having to take medications...

Bro literally the same thing happened to me. I was lifting 2-3 days a week and I was reasonably active but I was eating 3k calories a day with high salt intake and probably 800 calories in craft beer on average a day. I couldn’t go out to dinner or drinks with people half the time because I would get horrible acid reflux and bloating. Fasting, working out more often, quitting drinking, and making sure my calories are 1800-2500 a day (usually about 2100 I’m 5’9”) helped resolve the issues completely. I also make sure at least 50% of what I eat are minimally processed and healthy overall.

I feel like his physique would improve greatly almost immediately if he started eating clean whole foods. Less bloat, less water retention, better skin. Also better long term too because of lower inflammation, better recovery and possibly more efficient muscle growth, and better workouts. I would be interested to see some of his blood work like a lipid panel and cholesterol, liver and kidney panel, blood pressure and hematocrit

This kind of eating was pretty standard in the powerlifting community when I started lifting. Since then I feel like common sense with diet and health has come a long way. There's been tons of deaths in the community by guys who are in their thirties which is tragic. I stepped away from the sport due to injuries and career change and I dropped from 260 to about 189 at the bottom, and I'm coming back with this ideology of just better general all-around health and habits. The joints have to be moving and feeling well before you start putting any huge weight on the bar, bodyweight should increase slowly and steadily you don't want to see huge jumps from day-to-day. It's a marathon not a Sprint

Ive never seen someone like Sam who seems so intelligent, constantly demonstrate unintelligent things. I understand his appeal (He's well spoken, humble, and plays by his own rules), but he really doesn't seem to care about longevity at all. I feel like theres a self destructive aspect to it that Im seeing more and more in the Gen Z lifting community. Im 22 and I see people my age avoid life with the Gym in the same way they would with drugs, resulting in overtraining and injuries. That being said a lot of them don't seem smart enough or can't get their head out of their ass enough to deal with problems in a healthy way, so I guess its better to go to the gym than do edit- (recreational) drugs. Sam seems smart enough to know better, so I hope he's doing okay mentally and not channeling suffering into abusing his body.

the acne is caused by gear and a very bad diet choice. Such an insane amount of sugar in his diet. I cut out sugar a few months ago and my acne went from pretty severe to almost non-existent, even on gear.

For some years I always had skin issues. Not acne but some red not so big pimples and rosazea (red area next to my nose). I always drank like half a liter of milk every day (protein shake etc.). I tried moisturisers, everything, but when I stopped milk my pimples went away immediately after 1 to 2 weeks.

@MHI638 did you try vegan whey? I have a buff friend who had the same problem like you. He uses vegan whey now. He says it doesn’t taste as good as normal whey but it’s better for his skin and who likes to be big but ugly?

@Greg Doucette My 10 year old son is a type 1 diabetic. We have learned so much about how his body works and interacts (positively or negatively) with different carbs and their sources. I enjoy learning a few things from your videos (including this one) where you talk about the need for proteins and fats along with the carbs. I can take a lot away from your videos that benefit my son. I'd be interested in seeing a video of bodybuilders eating 400g of carbs before their workouts and seeing how their blood glucose reacts before, during and after the workout while wearing a GCM to see their glucose levels. I don't know anything about bodybuilding so I don't know if 400g of carbs would really be necessary for a serious lifter or not. I'm sure the carbs are for more than just the workout but if they were just for the workout I'd be very intrigued to see how their glucose reacts while lifting.

Have you looked into carnivore for type 1 ? Quite a few people have reduced their insulin intake significantly
@TNGphoto
@TNGphoto Жыл бұрын
@wearetheremnants1615 I would assume that would be very beneficial. Mostly, we try to have each of my son's meals be between 40-60g carbs and each meal ideally has a lot of protein and fiber and the carbs are more complex. We also have him eat proteins and vegetables first before he eats his carbs and that helps with sugar levels rising too high. Is the carnivore diet entirely meat like the name suggests? That would get very boring after a while I would think. Have you tried it? Tell me what you thought of it if you did.

400g of carbs before a workout is that what your saying? That’s an insane amount for even a top bodybuilder. Usually it’s 40-70g of carbs before. I apologize if that’s not what you were asking rather hypothetically.

Remind me when I was 21 too (2 years ago, times flies). I ate like 4 steaks a day, 4-5 eggs every morning and like 1L of milk everyday. That's all I ate all the time. I was constipated all the time and got very very high hypertension the first time I went to a doctor to check how I was doing.

4 steaks a day? How?!😂 that must be very expensive and also how heavy would each steak be? 8oz? I hope your health is better now, eating eggs and steak is good, but in moderation of course, combined with carbs and fats. How is your health currently?
@imhassane
@imhassane Жыл бұрын
@@cranker7754 I live in France, it might be less expensive than in the US. It was more like 5oz per steak and currently everything is really really good. My blood pressure is usually in the 120s and my total cholesterol is 130. I just eat fish now for the healthy fats otherwise just a lot of fiber and plant protein as I noticed that I also had declining kidneys function everytime I did a blood test but since stopping the animal protein (20g of the 200g of protein I get a day still comes from fish) my kidney function is going up.

Unsolicited suggestion for better macros: If you eat cereal, try it with pasteurized egg whites to get higher protein each bowl. 230g of egg whites is 25g of protein, 100 Calories. That should be enough for 1-2 servings of cereal.

I used to drink a quart of chocholate milk after exercising for recovery. The belief and research at the time(12 years ago) was that you have a one hour window after your workout where your body needs the protien and burns sugar instead of storing it as fat. Coach greg says that as long as your getting your total grams protien in the day across 4-5 servings you should be good. Coach Greg's advice has been working for me. Also I just heard that you should get your protien before your workout from either Tanner or MPMD(sorry can't remember) there is a video on when to protien and what kind based on abortion rates. Example steak vs whey protien powder.
