There is a lot of stigma and misconceptions about Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Hopefully, by engaging in conversations about BPD we can learn about this condition and show support and compassion to people who need it.
Inspired by the book: Stop walking on eggshells written by Mason Kreger.

You’re absolutely spot on. Almost every “angry” outburst at my partner comes when I fear I’m going to lose him in some way.

Anger, aggressive behavior, and hostility all stem from insecurity and fear. Aggressive and hostile people are generally projecting their insecurity. It's fascinating how little self-awareness they have regarding this dysfunctional behavior. Anger and aggression have their place in defense and self-protection from genuine threats to safety and well being. Unless a real threat exists these behaviors are not normal and indicate some personal emotional and mental issues. I had a girlfriend I later found out was bipolar and borderline. One minute she seemed fine the next minute she was psychotic and violent. She would make up reasons to justify her behavior that made absolutely no sense. She called the police on me and tried got me arrested for ignoring her when she would go into a rage. She called the police and waited until they were right outside our door and then decided to start a fight with me. She took a framed picture off the wall and hurled it at the back of my head 2 seconds before they knocked on the door. She was hiding in her room on the phone with them until they arrived. As soon as she got off the phone with them as they were coming up the stairs she threw the picture frame at my head. The police immediately put me in handcuffs and arrested me for domestic violence. I demanded a speedy trial and they dropped the charges. Watch your step guys there are some freaky psychos out there.

They are not "freaky psychos". Their reality has been one of trauma, and they see the world as a fearful place. How else could they see it?! How about we use the term "traumatized individuals who need help?"

I like the content, but I wish the Doctor would speak more slowly because I had a difficult time understanding what she was saying.
