I bought your nail system awhile back and I love it! It gives me enough time to get the acrylic where I want it. However twice now I have gotten so excited to use it that I have forgotten to put the prep and primer on one hand then then other the next time. Both times I have done this I have not had any lifting or any problems with my nails. I, however plan on trying to do better about remembering to put them on both hands from now on. I want to thank you Susie for your videos and your products so that I can have nails again. See I’m disabled and I can’t just go to salon and sit there waiting because I can’t sit for long in on spot. And there are some times I’m in pain so making appointment is really no good because I don’t know what my pain level will be from one day to the next. Anyway sorry about the rambling just to say thank you so much for giving me nails back. And I think I’m getting pretty good. Please keep the videos coming. I love wearing acrylics, because my hands are in water so much (hot soapy water, water with chemicals, you name it), and the acrylic protects my natural nail. Without them my natural nails will break off, split, tear, etc. Right now, my nails have broken off one way or the other to the skin. There is hardly any free edge left. Cuz I’ve not had time to do the acrylics for a good while now. Ps: I hate gloves, I have them and I hate working with them, I have tried.

I've now have graduated to using only press on nails they have come so far that it is you can't tell the difference, I'm sorry there's no way anybody can tell the difference every time someone sees my hands they ask me "oh my G-d what's nail salon do you go to?" it's phenomenal how the press on nails have come. And again you're 100% correct and stating that this oil soap and dishwater which is when I'm using right now to help soften the glue and then I use a remover to take off the remaining nail without damaging it.

To my knowledge, there is nothing. We cannot use strong adhesive to adhere some thing, and then peel them off easily without causing any irritation to the natural nail. Soaking with water, oil and soap does not work if that was the case every time you had a bath your nails would come off. so there is nothing to my knowledge to keep a nail adhered and then easily removed when you want

This is really instructive, but I'm curious about something. I first heard about this method from a good friend, who's done her own gel nails for many years now. They routinely last at least a month without chipping, and she almost always removes them just because they've grown out too long. But after she got a job that involved washing dishes (hands in hot soapy water for longer than most of us who just wash our own or our family's dishes would be familiar with), they hardly lasted longer than a couple weeks, and there were a few times where they did literally pop off while she was doing dishes at work. And to be clear, these weren't acrylic nails, this was just her natural nail with several layers of gel polish, that lasted a very long time under normal circumstances but quickly began lifting up when submerged in greasy soapy hot water. That's when she tried to figure out what was going on and discovered that her job involved conditions that other people were using as an improvised gel removal method. I'm not arguing against the accuracy of anything in this video, just trying to figure out why this would happen. Based on the video, the explanation would be that the gel wasn't on that securely in the first place, but I have a hard time squaring that with how long they last under any other circumstances.

I think this is what I've been doing to destroy my natural nail bed. As my polish chips off, I fill and top coat but at the cuticle it loosens. I get about 6 weeks doing this before my natural nails get shorter and shorter and more damaged on the ends. If the polish didn't chip off almost daily from heavy use and I didn't just let the nails come off in the shower or dishwater I would have better luck. I think I need a good acrylic or gel coating to start with. My worry is that changing or doing polish replacements that I'll destroy the. nail enhancement that is on for a long duration. My last nail tech didn't want to do any gel -she said she was afraid to use gel. It's hard to find someone such as yourself who has the knowledge and skill to do perfect nails.

@noseferachoo9 ай бұрын
I do this every time. Dawn dish detergent, coconut oil and hot water. I soak them for 1/2 hour. I have only used this on press on nails secured with glue. The reason I use press ons and this water method is because gel/acrylic nails and acetone destroy my nails. They dry, crack and become brittle. Using this method my natural nails have become very healthy. One thing that is true is that the nail is flexible for a while. I let them dry out for a day before I do anything and make sure to use cuticle oil. I imagine that this absolutely will not work for gel nails.
