I am financially free ans so excited to move forward. My plan is to work to save money to buy a home there until September 24 then make the move sometime in the fall or winter. I’m so glad you all are there and created community so we can escape the ‘us’🥳🥳

Let me say this --- the connection with Africa here is a good thing not a bad thing. The connection with your African brothers and sisters is a good situation. Africa has a lot of resources and would be great for business connections.

Absolutely, I have nothing but love for our brothers and sisters on the continent, regardless of the fact that they allowed tribal wars to be the excuse to sell us off to the highest bidder. They are still affected by white supremacy and so I try to show them grace. 🥰 However, for the most part, their infrastructure is still not where I need it to be for this spoiled American. 🤣

I agree about not understanding the domino effect. There are a lot of new buildings going up in many cities all over Portugal. If NHR is just cut off, what happens to those buildings? Spain already has plans to implement an NHR type of credit for people moving in. Other countries may do the same. If that happens those same people will move to other countries. That takes money away from Portugal-it’s like that saying throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Hey Kyra, the professionals we've spoken to are thinking that he will back peddle a bit. To cut off an incentive with 3 months' notice doesn't seem fair for those caught in a slow system nor wise for folks in the middle of investing. So, I think we need to just wait and see.
