Is it worth changing the 690 SMC R Headlight ?

I got the same headlight for my 690 enduro and tried to plug it in without changing the wires and didnt work. Thanks for the video i got it to work.

Sure. I don’t usually ride at night but I’ll do a night ride at some point and see how good it is then.

Sorry to see your little mishap Robbie. Makes my dulled plastics look like nothing!!! Cheers for the video. Don't listen to the "pros" complaining. It's great to see how a bloke in his garage does stuff. That's how we all do it.

Cheers pal. I wasn’t really that bothered about it but every now and again when I feel the need to I just repeat that I’m Just an average Joe messing in the garage. 😁. Maybe I should get a T shirt with that on lol.

I have a similar one coming in the next day or so. It'll be sweet to have a full on DOT approved LED out front. Have you got a night ride in yet? LOL

I swapped the original one with the one from cyclops. I love it. High beem throw is huge

That was one I was considering a while back. This one drew me purely with the design layout. I’m gonna do a night ride and see if it actually lights the road up.

Low beam is at the top because it shines down. If it was the lower lamp it would be obstructed by the mud guard. 👍

Hi. I haven’t had the time to do a night ride. I probably will over the weekend so when I do I’ll do another vid on it.

It sure does look better and no mate i didn’t get a new watch. That was the most expensive part of the fall lol. I have the stainless steel version with the crystal glass screen. Apple quoted nearly £500 to replace the screen. More likely they’d swap it for a refurb watch and not change the screen. I got some cutting compound polish at work and buffed it with that. Not perfect but better than it was.

Any news from the night ride? Is it better? Is the low beam wider? The high beam brighter and better coverage? Do they perfectly work together with no gaps?
