Great video loved how it was edited. Cant believe its still not in the 10k mark yet. Loved how it was done. I feel like i have a video suggestion(might be a way less scientific though). How most things can be a coincidence of sort. Starting from the possibility of you even being born to the possibility of how smart, how you look at things, how your personality and philosphy about things all through out your life can be due to genes and enviroments. That you can never actually influence as you are a puppet on the red strings of fate with only the illusion you can. Essentially what i mean is that. Life and fate gives the illusion of control. This topic is a bit controversial so it might be interesting

Another great video. Because science has been so successful in improving the material aspects of life some people seem to be of the impression it is infallible. I saw Jani's video early this year, I was aware his content attacked Think and Grow Rich. I can assure Mr Jani that Napoleon Hill's book magnified the techniques I already know. Only last year, I used the transmutation of sexual energy in securing a bank loan to buy ex husband out of the conjugal house. I am deliberate in finding evidence to prove that an idea or theory is true instead of disproving it. I believe all ideas have the right to be born. I say that because I know all of creation started as an idea. Great content, MI. Cheers!

Thanks for the comment! The issue of "laws" is also addressed in my most recent video here if you're inclined: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6S4qpKvZ7ypaZI It's worth pointing out that scientific laws are not expressions of certainty that must happen all the time and in all areas of the universe. At the time of this writing, the wikipedia entry on scientific laws states as follows: "As with other kinds of scientific knowledge, scientific laws do not express absolute certainty, as mathematical theorems or identities do. A scientific law may be contradicted, restricted, or extended by future observations."

The thing I feel is that we can't all be the center of the universe. I visualized myself working at my job for the rest of my life. I was happy. Then my boss wrongfully fired me despite my love, loyalty, and work ethic. What I brought to the table no one else has ever been able to do for him and his company, even today. If we look at the law of attraction, it reads true in that you get what you put out. He was going through a negative time in his life and ended up self destructing in ways that still affect him today. With that being said though, I am also suffering with the loss of my career due to his actions. I never had negative feelings toward him or the business. If I am the center of the universe like law of attraction suggests, why is my life damaged from the aftermath of someone else's negative energy? In this way, I believe the law of attraction works but only to an extent. Our lives will always be affected by those around us. You can be positive and believing all day long but someone else can still crush you with their negative power.

My problem with the law of attraction is that action is the most important factor to whether you get what you want or not. Visualizing and all the other stuff doesn't hurt but you can do without. But the number one thing is action. Nothing can happen on its own. If I want to become a millionaire there is no way I can just sit and visualize it and it will come. Action >>>>> visualizing
@ModernIntuitionist
@ModernIntuitionist 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! I completely agree that action is essential to manifesting any goal. As I mentioned in the thread with James Jani, I believe LOA is a fairly broad umbrella term that encompasses many different approaches (including secular ones). This is just my opinion (and I have no expectation that everyone should agree with me) but I believe mindsets are every bit as important as action. There are myriad of studies in areas such as learned helplessness, nocebo effect, etc, which suggest to me that there are very many gifted and talented people in the world today, who could achieve incredible things, but have internalized negative and damaging limiting beliefs. And because of this, they never try, and they never take action. TLDR: actions are absolutely essential, but so are positive mindsets. Thank you for adding to the conversation in a constructive and respectful way.

@ModernIntuitionist
@ModernIntuitionist 3 жыл бұрын
@@maximussmith3325 It sounds like you've found something that works for you, and that's wonderful. It's good advice for many people. Keep doing it. But these are not mutually exclusive concepts. We agree that action is absolute necessary to manifest one's goals, but that's not inconsistent with also developing positive mindsets. In addition to the research and studies I've cited in my video, the thing that separates the highest performers at the highest levels aren't necessarily things like strength, speed, raw intelligence, etc. but rather mindsets, which include factors like grit, perseverance and positive thinking. The book "Mindset" by Dr. Carol Dweck gives a good summary of the research on the importance and power of mindsets. Of course it's not "necessary" to be a top performer, because whether something is necessary or not is relative to the goal one is trying to achieve. There are many paths available to everyone, and there is no single objective path to get to where one wants to go. Thanks for sharing your opinion. Respectful disagreement is welcomed.

String theory isn't a theory at all.. Falsifiability is the best thing in science and it is used in every sector.. One thing that makes string theory just a hypothesis is cause of this .. Albert Einstein used the falsifiabilty to confirm relativity .. Second, there is nothing u gave other than a argument from emotions.. Third, replication is needed to prove that the evidence or results founded are actual or not.. Replication crisis are mostly in social science related fields and are not in natural science, that's why it's is less scientific than others .. His experiment is inside the field of natural science and methodology is testable ... So the conclusion must be replicable, but it's not so the experiment is fruad or false.. Fallacy of credentials ,is valid in this case as the experimental procedure or methodology of that study itself is founded by researchers to be flawed .one scientific hypothesis which have cannot be replicable should dismissed. U committed a fallacy of fallacy , only one who knows how science works and how to conduct research can do a research which is valid and met scientific critiria for that one should have minimum educational qualification, emotto doesn't have any science background either so it is valid to question his credentials.. After all in the u have no scientific study to support LOA Fourth, it doesn't have any logical arguments, so nothing to be addressed but one ,the drug claim.. The drugs works every time which have an effect on humans health, effects vary but produces physical actions, all drugs are tested with placebo and it verified with double blind studies.. So again is not an excuse for loa's inability to do anything in real world other than in fairy worlds.. In short, u didn't did anything to debunk or logically dismantle his arguments except some strawmaning..most of the argument are based on incapability to understand the terms and science or Coz u lack knowledge or from biased reasoning.. Nothing valid

Thanks for taking the time leave such a detailed message. 1. What you've written is "argument by assertion." You didn't provide reasons why physicist Sean Carroll and other philosophers are wrong in their critique of falsifiability as a useful criterion for the "demarcation problem." You simply asserted it without argument. 2. The replication crisis is also found in medicine, and not unique to the case at bar. 3. Credentials would be relevant if the questions was "is so and so qualified to be a doctor." However, it is irrelevant to the question of whether what someone says is true. Moreover, there are examples of scientific breakthroughs/discoveries made by un-credentialed individuals (which I explained in the video). I encourage you to read more on the credentials fallacy. 4. I enjoyed the video but, boy, are your arguments weak. We don't need to learn about important discoveries being neglected by the establish. We don't need to learn that optimism is a good thing. The question is if the LOA ismagical. So what if it claims to be a law. Can practicing it make people more effective, happier and healthy? Compared to the general public. I think such studies don't exist and so LOA teachers can prosper.
@ModernIntuitionist

Thanks for watching my video! A few points: 1. What specific arguments were weak in your opinion, and what was wrong with them? Counter-arguments would be appreciated. 2. Some might argue that we don't need to learn that exercise is a good thing. There's ample evidence to suggest that exercise is a good idea. And yet the vast majority of people do not exercise enough. Knowing something is true is not the same as putting it into practice. By the same token, there is ample psychological research to show that positive thinking and having a positive growth mindset is linked to a whole host of positive life outcomes (if you watched my two videos on this, you'd find that I did refer to psychological studies on this). And yet most people do not consistently keep a gratitude journal, do positive visualizations or other exercises to combat things like negativity bias: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negativity_bias 3. The central claim of LOA is that "positive mindsets/thoughts attractive positive outcomes, and negative mindsets/thoughts attractive negative ones." Again, I did refer to psychological research that supports this central claim in my videos. As always, respectful disagreement is welcomed. Take care and all the best.

Anyone can claim that anyone else "lacks awareness" (which is also ad hominem), and anyone can claim that someone has "straw-manned" someone else. But without reasons/argument, it is not particularly useful or persuasive. That's what makes it a fallacy. Anyway, thanks again for the comment I hope you have a great day.

Your argument is blind. If you did understand the video pls go back and rewatch. James Jani is an eye opener.

If we really conclude this from a both-side perspective, you're truly the one who's being a cynic.

A cynic who believes in the power of positive thinking psychology and the capacity to manifest positive outcomes into one's life? I'll take it!

@@ModernIntuitionist okay, if I would be clear. I would say, A man who believes firmly in a scam and even defends it from the ones who are telling the truth while being obviously wrong is an idiot. Not to mention it's also being criminal.

@@zeynedriege9547 If you actually watch both videos I do mention that James does important work as it relates to exposing instances of bad actors in the LOA space, and for that he deserves credit. I've repeated this many times. If it were "obviously wrong" wouldn't you be able to give a valid counter-argument instead of resorting to ad hominem? In any case, thanks for the comment!
