Been flying KAL long haul international 2 to 3 times a year for the last 5 years. I have been mostly on the A330-200, B737, B747-8 and the A380. They all sucked. The food was horrible (cheap store brought rice, cheap vegetables, and cheap bit of what looked like beef) etc,. KAL is overrated. In my experience Singapore and EVA are leaps and bound ahead. I only fly KAL because the flights arrive in the morning in the USA.

That's interesting, I'm glad you shared your experience! Food and the IFE definitely matter, I concur that Singapore Airlines food is superior, and KAL economy does have a somewhat older IFE system. But in terms of the service from the flight attendants, I'd say they're pretty much on par with EVA and Singapore Airlines.
