There's a certain demographic of people that have a part to play in destroying idols mental health, those online bullies that ALWAYS have nothing good to say. Constantly ripping apart each thing idols do and also their visuals/bodies, every little thing seems to be a scandal and even when idols show emotion or none at all it's a problem. What I'm trying to say is that nothing is ever good for that demographic, you can not please them.
@honeststraightforward14853 жыл бұрын
Fans have nothing to do with this. You are out of line here. As an Artist I fully know what it means all this, and believe me this guys are already depressed and stressed even before they become famous. In the end, no one forced them to go through all this. It's their choice. If you want look beautiful and perfect, rich and famous, you must sacrifice your life and especially your health for the sake of it. The fans are just the tip of the Iceberg. That's why I always said when this people take off the three inches of make up they have on their faces, they look just like everyone else. Some time even worse. No exceptions

@@honeststraightforward1485 you think this person is “out of line” for speaking about hateful fans? How dare you? Fans can make up the bulk of an idol’s stress. I was a psychologist (I’m also a counselor) for people in entertainment. Most times, stars are *addicted* to reading comments about themselves online. When I say addicted, i mean it. They look at the hate they get for the smallest things, and they keep reading while crying. It can kill in the West, even though we are individualists, but I think the East is worse because of their collectivist society. Do you know what that means? In Korea, public opinion can kill a person. Not only do hate comment affect the star but also their families, friends, co-workers, etc. Also, did you hear Sulli’s words while promoting? She begged people to be kind to her. She begged people to not be hateful. Why would she do that on a public platform if it didn’t bother her? For God’s sake, Korea has an entire show about hate comments online. Entertainers are people, and they are just as affected by what people say about them. If you don’t believe that, you know nothing. You may be an artist, but you are obviously not a star. Yes, the industry is brutal, and yes, you must sacrifice a lot if you want to be a star, but to act like artists are emotionless robots who can take anything said about them is straight ignorance in the true meaning of the word. I don’t mean the word as an insult, but you really do not know what a star can go through because of a viral Twitter hashtag. It seems like nothing to you, but when millions of people are insulting you, come back to me and tell me how it feels. *You* are the only one who is 100% “out of line” here.

I read that rosé needs to have her hair bleached 3x a week and that’s crazy- I used to have blonde hair and kept it for 3 years before my hair I decided to go back to black. Bleached it once a month because I wanted it to last for as long as possible, towards the end my hair was just tearing, breaking, thinning, everything bad. It doesn’t just affect your look, it has an impact on your self confidence as well. we should start helping the idols feel more confident; stop criticising them for “gaining weight” or “looking boring cause they look the same” or going natural. I’ll say this very controversial opinion: Fans are the reasons why idols go through so much.. Fans always demand so much material from their faves that the companies make them overwork and then these idols suffer from anxiety and injuries and then the fans blame the company when they should actually reflect on their immature demands.. Just the other day I saw people demanding Blackpink albums in 2021 saying that YG was mistreating the members.. I was so shocked.. From what I saw, Blackpink released an album in 2020 .. Rose released a solo album.. They had one or two online concerts.. Lisa had that show and now she’s apparently finishing up her new solo album.. Jisoo is literally filming an entire series.. Jennie , I’m actually happy that she’s resting because I remember her telling in the documentary that she gets tired pretty easily.. On top of that when I saw Blinks demanding an entire fucking album on top of all that, I was stunned! Like these are literal human beings who need proper rest and vacation.. There’s a reason most of the twice members suffer from anxiety, Onces demand so much material from Twice that JYP overworks them to their bones and now they have to take breaks because of anxiety and injuries.. If they have had proper breaks , none of this would have happened.. I’m tired of these kids who come on the internet and literally ruin lives of actual adults and destroy their mental health by pressuring them to release material on top of material

the first one is no surprise. I get so shocked when seeing idols on set being contoured/powdered/brushed with a random brush on their faces and being touched by stuff's hands who clearly had no chance to wash those hands before (bc they're on set) and hand sanitizer will only irritate your facial skin more (especially men's). They use the same brushed mutliple times on multiple members! And they touch the idol's skin too much imo, and they put too much makeup on. The skin can't breathe for hours.

In the last parts question , even if I research about all of these things and see how much work and stress these Kpop idols do , I still want to be a Kpop idol , well not know since iam still very young , I wish that when years go by , the Kpop industry will finally loosen up and change for the better , like no excessive hair dying , unhealthy diets , toxic fans and etc . I wish they find more better ways to change up an idols style while still maintaining the idol healthy , like turning to wigs for new hairstyles and colors , 1. It's more healthy for the idols hair and 2. They can explore more in finding their own style and what suits them best by using and trying on wigs , some fans get triggered when an idol wears a wig but it's more suitable when it's like that . Anyways I do hope the Kpop industry will soon be open to everyone and become less toxic than it is by time .

At first i thought k.pop was so good and fun but once i find out about this stuff i was like nope they are not the same when they are on camera, i feel so so bad for them 2 or 3 years of training and even more than 3 years for some and still they are in so many other problems and hard situations💔

The one thing that I am so pissed off is that crash diet. It is freaking counterproductive because it will destroy the metabolism and the weight loss will reach a plateau since the body adjusts itself from the harsh conditions of crash dieting for it to survive.

K-Pop is the genre, but I understand why that was used as the title name. Every section of the entertainment industry has these problems in some form, and the only way to stop it is to mass-complain about ill-treatment and a want of change. This however has to come from the Korean public, which is definitely not ready for such change yet. Not all groups are like this, however. You just have to find the right ones to support if you don’t want to feel guilty for fuelling this endless cycle. International fans can push for change, but it’s honestly not that easy to do without Korean support, and you’d have to be careful in not accidentally boycotting the idols, instead. Also, it’s a whole web of investors, endorsers, and stockholders that can choose to stop funding the idols and withdraw from any contact if it becomes too risky, so it’s really something that has to be left for their long-term sake. Fans bringing this deep-rooted issue upon themselves is hypercritical, because we set the tone and expectations already. The best thing to do is openly support the idols and report those who spread hate towards others. Find other things to talk and praise about other than beauty, and that in itself would help, even if it’s just an idol’s self-esteem.

K-pop isn't a genre but well said

@@aflower6955 K-Pop is quite literally a musical genre, it’s just that it’s taken on new meanings to describe the Korean entertainment industry in recent years. More specifically, it is used to mass label anything or one that follows a contract, trainee experience, and group and company dynamics equivalent to a K-Pop group’s. But thank you for the compliment :)

These all thing are so bad for idols' health, but it's their decision. They decided to become idol while knowing all of this ( they might not know). Now they can't go back to normal life, because they do not have proper education to work in different places and they are recognized. I feel so bad for them. Idols need so much support from us, not hate and criticism! p.s. No hate! I'm just wondering why they chose to become Kpop idol while knowing all of these?
