This reminds me of something I read once where someone was talking about hiring for their game magazine and that playing a game was part of the interview process because one time they did an interview with someone and it went great, they had a great resume so just for funsies the interviewer was like, "Hey, let's play some Mario Kart." So, they handed a controller to the guy and set the TV and N64 up and when they looked back to him, he was holding the controller like sideways or something, just completely off and so they didn't hire him.

Like yeah he didnt do as well in the second room, but it still shocking that his dad, someone who is not that familiar with these types of games, did a better run in the first room than someone who calls themselves a “professional” from the dumpster of Polygon.

I remember reading somewhere that older generations have trouble with games because they are use to keyboards and mouse for typing. Where in you only hit one button at a time no matter how fast, but games are harder to learn because it throws that muscle memory out of wack by requiring multiple button and mouse combos at the same time.
