I'm nonbinary and I gotta admit every time someone misgenders me as female (I am AFAB) I just ignore it and move on. Like you said, it's exhausting to defend your pronouns/ gender identity 24-7. I'm nearly 40 years old, and I just don't have to spoons do that. I let people think whatever they want to as long as they aren't intentionally being disrespectful. Doesn't make me any less nonbinary than I am - I just prioritize what I'm willing to exhaust my mental energy on - and defending my gender expression to people I can easily ignore just isn't one of those priorities.

I'm the same way and 30 years old. It isn't even worthwhile to try convincing people that nonbinary is a real way of being when all they see is that I look best when I'm dressing femme. It's the same way I don't feel like letting everyone know I'm Greek when they don't have any idea how Greek people can look and just assume I'm French or English. Same way people see colors differently, they will see genders and lack of gender differently. Doesn't mean the person who is what they are is wrong about themselves.
@HyenaKitsuneChshire92 Жыл бұрын
@riley8869 if it is not worth it. Then why do you force people to call you, your preferred pro nouns? Like shouldn't you just be a happy that you have people talking to you? Or are you that egotistical that you ignore actual facts and live in a fantasy world. The minute somebody tells you how it is in the world, you get so dramatic that instead of dealing it properly you just post vids. I think you really need to reconsider ur identity.

Im AFAB non-binary aroace. If i had the coolness and the patients to mess with the stupid annoying courts to get permission to change my name, i would have my be either Avery Lee or Kade Lee. And i too hate being misgendered. Girl, girly, lady, miss… it makes my skin crawl and stomach sick. I just wanna rip myself out of my body. But I don’t say anything cuz i just don’t feel like the confrontation. Last time I tried, the person was chasing me around the bus stop trying to take my phone away thinking i was hired by someone to sit at a bus stop in the freezing cold rain to film them and eavesdrop on their personal life. I was just trying to get home after renewing my ID. I was keeping to myself and they were the intrusive ones asking stupid questions about me while im trying to wait for the bus that never came (so i had to call a friend to help bring me home fast.)

Idk if I'm just really chill and desperate for social interaction but the cis straight POV? It would not bother me at all. The POV kinda assumes your gender neutral. I'd actually love to be gendered the way she genders the viewer because I love being gendered, please gender me. "Would you prefer if I called you one of the girls-" Me: Yes!! "Or one of the guys" Me: Yes!!! I just don't like nonbinary POVs that use they/them, it makes me feel misgendered. Every nonbinary experience is different and that's good. What's dysphoric for one person can be euphoric for someone else.

This is a genuine question as I really want to learn. Is there a difference between that someone that identifies as Transman and someone that identifies as Non-binary that dresses in masculine clothes and chooses to wear a binder ?

I love those kinds of names too! (My sona is named River, I’m kind of trying out the name that way. Maybe I could change my middle name to River. Do people change middle names? I’m not quite non-binary, feeling more connected to the labels of demigirl and gender queer.)
@missnaomi613 Жыл бұрын
You can do whatever you want with your name. I say this as a cis mama who has changed names a few times. And 2 of my 3 grown kids are trans. My daughter is still testing a new first name, but my enby has changed their first and last name legally. (And I just remembered that they tested out a middle name for a while, as well.) Best of luck to you, dear bean! 💛🤍💜🖤

Would someone who genuinely does not care what pronouns people use when talking to, or referring to, them - they/them/he/him/she/her - be classed as Agender, as opposed to non-binary? Because I genuinely could not care less. 😸

I'm actually a bit excited when I come out to more people as I use any pronouns. That way they can attempt to misgender me all they want and I just sit there like I'm fine if you call me that. That is the nice thing about not caring about using a single set of pronouns.
@TomasLatauskas Жыл бұрын
how can you be frustrated by people not knowing that you identify as non-binary when literally nobody can know? also, you clearly have a different perception on gender mechanisms from the classic view so why do you seed your opinion into others? Unfortunately you don't have a right to demand for it.

Hey Lynn! After watching some of your videos and going through your video library - i realize that i know nothing about who Lynn is other then that you are aromantic and identify as non-binary. Your video topics only revolve around gender identity, sexual orientation and well general gender discourse. Surely there is some interesting things about you that you could make some videos about other then your gender and sexuality? You're of course entitled to letting your gender identity and sexuality define most of who you're as a person, but it feels a bit obsessive to me. To give you one example: My gay friends sexuality is trivial to me and to them - it's the least interesting thing about them. It's the last thing they would mention if you asked them to introduce themselves - but to me it feels like sexuality and gender identity is the first and primary things you would focus on if i asked you to introduce yourself. Anyways don't take this the wrong way, it's just some suggestions to let the viewers get to know you better - through other topics then the ones mentioned above.

So many people are confused into thinking there non-binary or trans or any other labels and its sad :(. I am praying for these people they find themselves. I am also sorry for ranting on some of your videos whatever your real name is but this non-sense just pisses me off.
@DSS712 Жыл бұрын
Transgender and gender dysphoria is real, let's get that straight. It is an inborn medical condition and the only treatment is gender transition. However, when people like this youtuber insist on putting themselves in "the same umbrella" as trans people, they make actual trans people look like a joke. This youtuber is just a regular woman who was born a woman and obviously doesn't mind looking like a normal woman in front of millions of viewers on social media, but insists that she is "not a woman" because she grew up in a toxic religious misogynistic community that brainwashed her into thinking that she doesn't qualify as a woman if she doesn't align with being a "consistently feminine housewife." I hope one day she can get enough space from the people who made her think this way so that she can start to realize that she is just a perfectly normal human female and doesn't need to label her gender based on how feminine or masculine she feels on a given day.
