As I get older I see the value in both. Strength, mobility, and power are key as our bodies age. I can't stress enough how weightlifting and Pilates go hand in hand to keep our bodies moving efficiently.

I do strength training with Pilates. Pilates helps with form.

Hey Lesley, I weight train and do a lot of strength work in the gym. I count the two essential but are not combining the weight training with the pilates. If I am using weights they would be light like you said. Thanks for sharing.

so I don't combine weights IN Pilates that often. If I do its on the mat for a couple exercises like doing Rowing or the standing arm springs series and then yes only 1-2 lbs because the exercises are so distal xx~LL
