Have alot of first especially with super low prices as of August 2018, 2 of the second and 1 of the third mostly because it was a first, a PF and a Dragon. Most of my Platinum is Bars but i do have a bunch of coins. My favorite is the 2oz IOM Angel.

Watched again you video as my platinum video is in preproduction stage. I bought platinum QB Lion Ms69 for around 1200 USD. Bad you do not understand Russian and would not have an opportunity to clearly understand my reasons) But I bought thst coin because the price of platinum is low if you compare it to gold, it is the first UK platinum coin, it is rare in Russia and the first in the series) But I really not sure if I would ever buy platinum Griffin... And I'm rather sad that I didn't pick up palladium 2017 eagle in MS 70 for just 1200 USD... Nice coin and seriously rised in price...

Thanks Shadow! you touch on a good point which is whether or not there is a healthy trade network for these metals. I would hate to have just a few shops that can buy, trade or sell them. Because you may be stuck with either keeping them or taking a low ball offer.

I kind of have a huge itch to match my Small small amount of gold to an equal amount of platinum too. I am new to staking 3-4 years. Happens to have 40 oz iof Platinum, No Rhodium or Palladium. Recently went to local coin store and had no problem to exchange few PAMP platinum bars for gold coins to diversify my stacking portfolio. My friend - who is reputable Jeweler, advised me to hold on to the rest of platinum for the next 3-5 years, due to some spot price growth potential . He using it now more then gold in his industry for luxury engagement rings and other jewelry. He regularly buys raw Platinum from the supplier , and stating that beginning experiencing some difficulties with it supply. I will probably liquidate half of my platinum and trade it for gold coins, but also will keep the other half for the long term.

Ah I was a little bit confused that you thought that 5 ounce coin was Rhodium. You know it's silver right? Because Rhodium only comes in bars or Tuvalu 1 ounce coins, there are no other mints that have tried coining this metal.

I don't have any physical rhodium. I keep rhodium in a pool account with Kitco. It's purely a long-term play. The discount for rhodium versus gold was fantastic a few years ago, and I stocked up on it. Should have gotten more!! It's already surged past gold spot value, so even with the high spread, I'm way above break even point and I'm firmly in profit territory with it. I have set sale prices for it and will only sell when those prices are hit..

I will add that a reason why platinum rhodium and palladium where never considered money is because only recently did we gain the technology to melt such metals. Before furnuses couldn't reach high enough temperatures to melt them so they became useless for coining

Intresting but i do think there's not really a big collecter market for other metals..but that dont mean they not good for holding. I personally have none as my budget not there yet but at some point we all look at diversification and other viable option as you have with the elephants. Definitely the properties of any metal is intresting and its uses are related to that. So maybe if a new emerging technology comes along maybe a good idea to get in on a certain metal properties if one had funds. Whole host of metals but i do feel all markets are minupulated for the benefit of industry and like silver price will be surpressed so is one thing to be wary of..The system dictates the price not the actual market. Generally unless there's a fault within the system. Fake paper contracts affect physical price and until that ends is all controlled just like how currency fluctuates againt each other. Dollars are being pumped in or taken out of the system and all others currency adjust. Paper future contracts do the same and fractional banking system is the enemy of physical metals. It attacks them buy flooding markwt with more than anyone ever wants..works as fiat is not real and can just be created..like the fed just giving banks 11b... So o do feel all metals are goid buys as one day the system will fall apart history tells us that..and a new system will replace it and i think soon that battle will start. Either way metals the only real storage of wealth..

PGM's scare a lot of investors who are familiar with gold and silver. I personally like rhodium, but only at price points that we saw last in early 2017. I'm sitting out the current market, as it's upside is too risky. Platinum lately has gained some interest at $800.USD spot, but it too may be tethered to sideways trading for some time. But, the fact of the matter is that these metals are in a rarified market sector, where rising mining costs and political issues can create opportunities for a savvy and patient investor.

Love your channel bro..keep up the solid work. RE: PGMs: I actually started my portfolio based on Platinum, Palladium and Rhodium before Gold and Silver. I was buying Rh @ £750, Pt @ £1200 and Pd @ £450 p/t/o. Seems like a long time ago looking at those prices! Aside from Pt, Rh and Pd have performed very well since and the returns from flipping some used for further diversification. I still hold Rh - that said Rh is what I'd consider a bit of a scitzo metal - up or down it does it with vengeance! At the time of buying these metals I felt the prices were ripe compared to Au / Ag. These are predominantly industrial metals, they don't have the same lure as the more shiny 'monetary' metals but in my opinion they do have great long term potential, Suffice to say that Au and Ag are ubiquitous and should be the foundations of any stack..something I'm in the process of bringing to fruition. Looking forward to more of your content :)

I've just succumbed, The QBs are soooo good, and with platinum so much cheaper than gold, even taking taxes and high premiums into account. I now have 5 X 1oz QBs and they look amazing. BUT to answer the question, NO, it's not worth stacking. When you stack, the inference is that store in volume. In the context of these forums, the only monetary metals that you can stack (as in pile on pile) in volume, would be silver and copper (?).
