Cloud streaming gets such a bad wrap due to needing a strong internet and other issues, but to me it is crucial, because a big problem for me is storage space. I could only afford about 5 games max in storage, and 3-4 are essential games. I don't want to spend hundreds on sdd's, so hopefully they continue to improve cloud streaming for games old and new...

I subscribed to my first month of PS Plus Premium and I got to say I am impressed as a non-online gamer. Tried so many games like No Straight Roads, Serious Sam, The Mark of Kri, Star Wars Jedi Starfighter, Toy Story 2, Ape Escape, etc. and am loving it. Crucify me all you want Anti-PlayStation, PC gamers and Xbox fans, but honestly PS Plus Premium has more games I am interested than what's available on Game Pass in my opinion. Maybe I like the PlayStation worlds better, but ain't gonna Xbox has some awesome games as well. Hoping to get a PS5 someday to try out Returnal.

Premium is really expensive if you think about it the chance of you playing over 400 games in a year on slim to none most of those game half of the people have. 120 dollars not including new games that come out a year is expensive for the amount of hours you won't be playing games unless you have no job or anything to do.

For me I think about it like this, the new released games are costing 70 dollars minimum, so the 120 dollars for a yearly subscription is a cost of less than 2 games, and I open the game catalogue, I can see Returnal, AC, Demons Soul, Death Strandings, Spiderman and Ghost of Tsushima, those games alone cost more than 350 dollars that i don't have and i really was considering buying them from the store, and I didn't mention any other benefit yet, so I think it's worth it, at least for now.

The best tier really is the PS Plus Extra ( $99/yr ). It has plenty of PS5 games. For people like me who dont care about older games like PS1, PS2, PS3, PS Plus Extra is all you need. Much better games than what Game Pass comes up with.

I think you are locked into whatever plan you signed up for. I think the Extra plan ( $99/yr ) is best since it has great PS5 games also, if you dont care about real old games, dont waste your money on the $120/yr plan.

Something I've noticed in your review. You mentioned that Sony won't be doing day one releases with the new service, which I do remember them saying that. However, during their last State of Play, it was revealed that the game Stray will be a day one release for the new service when the game launches next month. So it seems Sony has indeed changed their mind. At least for that game anyway.

I'm sticking with the lowest tiers. I already have a bunch of emulators, and BC is the only thing they added that interests me. I don't need to pay them monthly for a vetted library. I like the game trials, but that should be on every tier. Especially being Sony has a terrible return policy on their store.

Yep Sony sucks for player experience. I bought a game off their store and it glitched in a mission so I never got to proceed let alone finish the game and they refused to do anything about it🤷. Still have the game and never been able to finish it. I bought a game on steam and Microsoft and sent in a refund request because "I don't like the game" they refunded me without question for a reason so blunt as just not enjoying it😅. Sony literally hates their players

Games are getting so expensive that it seems subscription services are best value. I got the premium tier. It is totally worth it to me because the ps5 now can spread its wings. After watching your videos and your lovenfor nintendo, you pushed me to buying my first Nintendo switch lite (turquoise) because of your Channel and am loving it. My first game is luigis Mansion 3. The quarterly package is actually $50 for 4 months and they don’t make it where the price is linear as the length of your subscription. If you buy for a full year it cost $120, if you pay quarterly at $50 but renew to a full year it costs $150 and if you pay each month at $18 it’s gonna cost $216. This makes it look like a discount and the yearly so much cheaper that everyone pays more upfront bc of the illusion that you are saving money in the long run

It’s very worth it and PS3 streaming isn’t all that bad in my experience it runs just like it would in a normal PS3 and coming from someone who owns both next gen consoles this is so much better than game pass mostly because game pass games aren’t good and the games on PS plus are story rich

Honestly gamepass is way better. I own both so no stakes in the discussion. But paying for cloud saves and backwards compatibility is just really bad. I use my PS5 to only for some exclusive games my series X is my third party gamepass monster and lately I have been playing my old Xbox original and Xbox 360 physical games on my series without paying for the option. Both subscriptions have pros and cons but this is no contest by landslide. Again I don't do console war only stating what I personally experience with having both game consoles and services and how I PERSONALLY experience them

As of now, NO, most of the games on offer are old and have been free in the past or heavily discounted. If you are new to Playstation it's a good way to instantly get a bunch of games.

No it's not. Just went through the catalogue yesterday on ps5 and the classics are a massive let down. Sony should just release digital PS1+2+psp+PS3 on the store for purchase not hide behind a subscription. Sony did the dumbest thing ever by keeping ps plus if they was so smart they should've removed ps plus entirely make every game online play free except the twist is that most of the benefits that the new ps plus subscription provide should've been added to ps now and renamed ps now to Play Pass if Sony would've did this they would've officially took over gaming especially console wise and most likely stole even more xbox players and also make every owned ps plus game fully accessible even without Play Pass but to get the players to subscribe to their Play Pass Subscription include Play Pass ingame exclusives and probably some currency for that game as well I would've gladly went back to ps if they had done this idea instead and know that I can play any online game without Subscription that would've def gave me a reason to buy a yearly Play Pass subscription and pay 70 dollars to buy new games

Sony should've made it so there backwards compatibility games were available to buy and better yet add more than 10 PS2 games😂. The subscription seems so poor especially as they said backwards compatibility

I mean no subscription service is good for people that actually buy games plus I still have my PS2 and PS3 hooked and all my PS2 and PS3 games from years ago so I'm good.
