Regenerative braking is available in most of the 3 phase AC locos like WAP5 WAP7 WAG9 WAG12 and three phase EMU local trains supplying the regenerated voltage to the OHEs

Ultracapacitor is used as buffer for battery, so ultracapcitor handle very large surge current in time of regenerative braking, even vehicle with ultracapacitors are running now but very few kilometers but charging in few seconds Search ultracapacitor buses.

நண்பரே அருமையான தகவலை தெரிந்துகொண்டேன்🙏நன்றி இந்த Energy Storage விஷயத்தை 20 வருடத்திற்கு முன்பே நான் Design செய்து வைத்திருந்தேன் (Two wheeler முதல் Train வரை)அதில் 50% மட்டும்தான் யார் மூலமோ சிந்தனைக்கு வந்து நடைமுறைக்கு வந்திருக்கிறது பாராட்டுக்கள் இதை 100% அனைத்து வாகணங்களிலும் சாத்தியபடுத்தபோதிய பொருளாதாரம் இல்லை காலம் கடந்து செல்கிறது 😭விடாமுயற்சியில் இருக்கிறேன்

Hybrid vehicles like Toyota are professional in this concept of of regenerative braking during traffic bumper to bumper below 20kmph speed automatically petrol car turns into electic while sudden acceleration is sensed it runs on fuel thus reducing losses during initial torque

Nalla thagaval, Sago. In EVs since operating temperature would become hotter due to discharge hence do you think if that potential stress in cells is actually a problem? Also for ICE vehicle, do cover this incredible concept of Engine braking which most riders arent aware of...

This is what happened for me, we have Ertiga with Hybrid support, so in thought of saving fuel even on Highway I use to get leg off from accelarator and was all good until after 2.5 years the dashboard shows a warning symbol. That warning is Battery Failure. - After that I stopped even thinking about electric scooters.

What if we modify the system such a way that, regenerative breaking happens only when breaks are applied, and employ capacitors for storing the regenerated energy insted of a battery? Then we can do classic charge- discharge-charge-discharge....

@@balajilb1348 Yes bro, I have Realme 7 pro which has dual battery but the adapter is just 65w and it charges fully in 35 mins. But now they introduced 210w to charge fully in just 10 mins. My concern is how higher watts is being supported by the same small batteries? If this is technically possible, why the smartphones companies did not have this quick charge feature few years back?

It is Not more about the quantum of Energy that is obtained by Regenerative Braking; it is the Saviour to retain, maintain and prolong Battery health. From your own statement : Alternating between Discharging and Charging will make the Battery heat-up. A Biiiig Noooo. Even if the Battery is continuously discharged (or charged) it will be heated up. Heat won't be there, only when the Battery is idle. All EV companies, even the oldest with Lead Acid Batteries : use Regenerative Braking. Pls do sufficient research, prior to releasing such content.
