It is with great joy to see that you’ve finally made it to Sibiu. For some like me this city brings back memories of uni life and so many sensitive moments along with it. Kinda touch it right there…..anyways if I’ve missed Astra national museum at the Sibiu outskirts I just hope you haven’t missed. The Transylvanian plateau is full of mysteries, apart from the beaten path in a village called Salcau jud Sibiu there is a sand canyon which is amazing indeed and appears truly out of this world. Anyways I’m glad that above all we have the same favourite city! 🥂

I live in Sibiu and funnily enough after seeing the video title, all the restaurants you went to are actually German, not Romanian. Easy to see by their names. None of the dishes you ate are Romanian, except for papanasi. Hochmeister and specially Kulinarium are really good restaurants, but calling them "hidden gems" is also funny... they are both very touristy and in the very center of the town. In case someone wants to try real Romanian food in Sibiu go to Sibiul Vechi or to Grand Plaza. Or if you are feeling a bit adventurous and want to eat with the locals then Kon Tiki or Prima. By the way I enjoyed watching the video and Vlad and Georgiana took you to some of the best restaurants here. It's just that they are neither Romanian nor hidden gems.
@youngshatterhand810
@youngshatterhand810 2 жыл бұрын
those restaurants at the "very center of the town" are hidden gems because over 9o% of the people on this planet never heard of the town Sibiu or think that Transylvania is a fantasy land. Also, they said Transylvanian food in the video, couple times and that includes the Transylvanian Saxon food too not just Hungarian and Romanian. Just saying

I love all of your videos and places you visit, but..for me it would be interesting to get to know the city more, so if you could mention a few historical data, a little bit of more history, would be appreciated. For instance, Sibiu (German: Hermannstadt, Hungarian: Nagyszeben) used to be a German-Saxony city in Transylvania as you can also see it on the architecture. By today, not many Germans have left here but it was nice to see that some of the restaurants still have a German name. For me it was interesting to learn as being a Hungarian that many of the naighboring countries have similar name for pancake:placinte, palacsinta in Hungarian, Palatschinken in Austrian German. :) The world is small anyway.

Saka > Saxon, their history is incredibly old, but no one speaks about it and I think everyone is oblivious of it, since I have never read about this anywhere and I studied a lot of history... .There is a King called Saka on Palermo Stone (and yes, he was Saka, their YDNA has been in Egypt since its inception), and they definitely built the Sphinx and have been living in Transylvania (WHG lived there in prehistory). Egyptians (who were definitely Saka, Dacians and Anatolians) had a long dispute (which is documented) with Saka (Scythians) about which were older. Saka were both YDNA R1b and R1a, mtDNA K, U, H and R1b and R1a split 25000 years ago. So, that was what they were arguing about. Europeans used the 40000 (not a typo) year old European proto-script, which then became the Danube script, then the Egyptian hieroglyphs. Anatolians also used it, it is clear at Gobekli Tepe.... MAAT RE > madre in Spanish and Italian, MUTTER in German, mother in English, mitera in Greek, etc etc. This is an incredibly old word, definitely predating Aurignacian (animals have this concept, too). Slavic languages used MAAT KA (Maat's soul) > maika (pronunciation). Only Egypt and Dacia used AMAT (not mwt) > AMA. In Romanian it became mama - a dual plural which existed in both Danube script and Egyptian. Egypt was a proto-Romance and Germanic language (old European), with FRE > FAIR (identical meaning, beautiful, "fair of skin"). It is not nafre as in Coptic, they added the prefix much later. I suspect around the Greco-Roman times. Egyptians called their land TA Maresh (Ta = land, Maresh = Mures) not the Kamat or whatever nonsense is spewed currently.... In fact, it was Ta Marea Esh, Land of Marea (Maria)'s garden....and this is what Pope John Paul II meant when he visited Romania, got on his knees and kissed the soil, saying it was Maria's garden....They know and lied about all history.... The name Marea (it later became Maria) is documented in early dynastic, but as always, so wrongly transliterated, that no one will figure out the connection. Djed Su = pillar rising = Orion's spine = Gemini and it is a reference to the Black Sea Deluge. MAAT REEA > MA REA, a dialect lost its final T earlier than the rest most likely, and REEA had several variations, too (Reea, Rya, Ra, Re, Reya). Sakarya River in Anatolia. Saka RA (Saqqara...) The Sphinx = Reea = Sun and the 3 pyramids = Orion's belt. Which are currently 22, 23 and 24 Gemini. Using precession 1 degree = 72 years, and calculating the degrees from Gemini 23 to Pisces 5 (current Spring Equinox) = 108 degrees. 108 degrees x 72 = 7776. THe Black Sea Deluge timeline. The "lifeless, infinite sea" in Egypt's creation myth. It should be Gemini 20, but it's still very, very close to that timeline. Egypt originated from the area around the Black Sea - Dacia, Anatolia. DNA proves it, too.... And it is linked to Saka :) Saka > Saxon thousands of years later.
@DianaAtena
@DianaAtena Жыл бұрын
Dynasty 18 - "Nefertiti" (real name Atena) and Akhenaten were SAKA. They were both blonde, there are talalats which prove this :) She was mtDNA K (predicted, her grandmother Thuya's is known, if she was correctly identified) and he was R1b=m269 YDNA and K mtDNA (predicted, due to known DNA of his father).
@DianaAtena
@DianaAtena Жыл бұрын
For the record, Plato mentions that Egyptians and Greeks (and Europeans) were created by the GODDESS (meaning Reea, Rhea in Greek is actually spelt Rea) and he accurately points to Meltwater Pulse 1b, 11600 years ago. This, along with the Sphinx and pyramids of Giza, pointing at Black Sea Deluge clearly indicate that records were kept in Europe for a very long time (Anatolia, too, Gobekli Tepe is a huge astrological chart). So, it was known in ancient times that Egyptians were European. Who deleted all that priceless history? Who took joy destroying Egypt and Dacia to the point no one could read the very ancient script?
@DianaAtena
@DianaAtena Жыл бұрын
The legend of Mount Caraiman, documented in 1927 is linked to the Black Sea Deluge. Ca RAI MAN Ka = soul in Egyptian and old European RAI = heavens in Romanian, but it is derived from RA MAN = eternal in Egyptian, which was old European. The nonsense spewed about its etymology is hilarious, but it only goes to show they are incompetent as linguists and have no idea what the legend is about.... The legend goes like this: a great wizard (great also means giant, titans, that's a reference to Age of Gemini, namely Orion, which was the zodiac sign of Gemini at the time) had a magic bagpipe (Orion's belt) that he used to play, to make nature turn green (Asare/Osiris was green, it is linked to the time when Gemini was Spring Equinox, namely the Age of Gemini, when Black Sea Deluge happened). His gave fortunes to all his sons, but the lazy ones wasted theirs, then killed the good, hard working sons. The old wizard was petrified with pain and turned into a stone (the Sphinx of Bucegi), and cried and cried. His tears reached the Danube, then the Black Sea - a clear reference to the Black Sea Deluge, dated to c 7500 years ago by Ballard et all (and earlier, Ryan et al). I think Djed pillar = Bellatrix, the Saka star (Amazons, they had female warriors). Djed su = pillar rising, therefore Age of Gemini. Herod killing all males is a reference at the severe YDNA bottleneck proposed by Karmin et al during that particular timeline (and it lasted for a very long time, too, if not mistaken, until the Bronze Age Collapse). So, the legend refers to what happened during the Age of Gemini, linked to the Age of Pisces (210 BCE - still ongoing) when Gemini = Summer Solstice. Herod represents YDNA E and J, which entered Europe around the time of the Black Sea Deluge.
