Dabble and Travel, You lived in the reconciliation room of the church. This room was used to reconcile the husband with the wife when they wanted to divorce. They were locked up there for several weeks. If they did not reconcile during this time, they were declared divorced. In five hundred years there was only one case when the two did not reconcile.

@@bujdososzekely so u don't have an answer! and u are lying, there weren't 2 mil. hungarians in 1918; actualy today , there are more than in 1918. That says a lot about rights of minorities in Romania. Try to find out how many romanians were in hungary in 1918, and compare to their number today!!
@cip59493 жыл бұрын
@@bujdososzekely germans were sick and afraid of hungarian forced asimilation they experienced since 1867. Dark ages were what germans experienced in xenofobic Hungary, along with the other minorities, strating with replacing hungarian bishop (of german origin) and opressing germans in every way, because they traditionaly controled the hungarian economy.!!! And lets not talk about situation of jews in the same period, to have an complete image about what "heaven" minorities were living in, before ww2 in Hungary.... please, read some real history , troll!

@@bujdososzekely for every minority in Transylvania the dark ages were under Hungarian part of Austria-Hungary, while Austria recognised every minority within their territorial administration Hungary refused to… that led to revolts breakouts throughout the whole of the Hungarian part that led to the fall of Austria-Hungary, if you maybe gave basic human rights to the people that inhabited the regions you wouldn’t have lost so much in ww1.

As far as the title is concerned: Saxons built it and it's a Catholic Church. If Romanians had built it, it would have been an Orthodox church.
@NicodinBogdan3 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. During the communist days more than a million Romanians had to Convert from Catholicism to Orthodoxy. Because of the nationalist communist regime that didn't really tolerate different societal factions. I'm Romanian , baptized Orthodox , even though I'm an atheist. Before the 50s , everybody in my family on my father's side was Catholic.
@mihaelac24723 жыл бұрын
Greek Catholics. Those had to convert to Orthodoxy. My paternal grandparents too. Catholics proper were left alone.
@dacian_13462 жыл бұрын
Not true, most people in Transylvania before communism were catholics, like around 80% and that includes Romanians too. Communism didn’t like that we we had a different religion than the rest of Romania and banned the Catholic Church, forced us to converto to orthodoxy through torture and imprisonment.
