I am extremely happy to know that Texas Star is continuing. I really like my Texas Star amp. It is working great still. Still having people telling me I sound very clear, and they have a real good copy on me. Those are the ones that are pretty far from me. I never use my amp for locals. But it comes in handy when i need it. Back in the 80s when I was a teenager we had a really good group. We all had CB's in our cars. And we had girls who joined in our group.They had CB's but never keyed up. They just listened. And we did things like helped get their cars with more horsepower. But they never raced anyone. It was just a mild cam upgrade. Us guys, we destroyed out engines. Then had to get another block. The girls cars they lasted a long long time.

Outstanding! I need another good mobile amp, something like a 667 this next time.

very good news. also TEN-TEC is back ! new radio soon. antenna tuners ETC. sad about MFJ . woman made most of their stuff as well. The only outher amp company is RM Italy that started in 1970's . Export AMPS out of Italy makes LD-MOS amps and are great. has new US disturber . MTC main trading company out of Texas. Icom has new LD-MOS amp as well. some new CB radios out. with FM and CTCSS/DTS codes. all legal in CB .Look at ABR industries. Woman owned and made in Texas. make great coax like RG 400 and RG 213 and more. 73's

Well its all how you look at it, you know...in a way they have always been in a league of their own, you know, most accepted etched boards amps in the scene. But wouldn't it be cool to have a Texas star built in an aluminum case with a fan.... wait, there are 4 Texas Stars that way now, but they quit making them....wonder what the future will hold. 🤔

One of my early jobs was with a company that built 300 and 1200 baud modems. They were hand built by women. They had better attention to detail. Good to know Texas Star will continue on.

Interesting information 🤔... I'll bet more than a few people would like to see a transistor change and it'd be pretty cool if they started offering ldmos and base units ... although I'm sure without making any changes towards current lineup they'd still fly off the shelves.... Thanks for sharing

I love that Texas Star isn't going anywhere. Great news! I have a 40ish year old TS DX250 that's been treated well over the years and still works perfect. I've had it myself for close to 30 years now. Has Texas Star ever had a web site or any online presence or has it always been only by retailers? Just curious because I have never actually seen anything online directly from them before, unless I've just been looking in the wrong directions. LoL
@1883GotDown3 ай бұрын
On the way back engine you can find one but it was just informational with all their products. Yes they have been sold via retailers only.

Man you mentioning that brings up a bad bad bad memory for me. I got my buddy that I am talking about to Build me one from scratch! With all non dots in it....I lost it to a guy that conned me. I let him borrow it and he never returned it. I forgave him but I did not forget!! But yes that would be great and that is actually something that can be done for sure with USED Toshiba's thanks to my side business in doing.
