He showed a long, drawn-out draw. Yawn. Not championship chess. No one will be talking about this in twenty years if it goes on this way. Other than to say how mediocre the chess was.
@GermanAssum6 жыл бұрын
@@melvynobrien6193 what are you talking about? Caruana's preparation for this game was insane and Magnus played perfectly cause the game was full of traps. Don't think that agadmator is showing all the lines. Magnus avoided losing with the white pieces playing the best moves and the engines didn't give advantage for either side in a very tricky position. Maybe u don't get how chess works, cause this draw was a good result for both of them.

Great recap! I love that you had some Leela insights and focused on many different lines than Grischuk did in his commentary. One interesting thing Sasha mentioned about the rook ending is that white actually prefers to have the pawn structure 'ruined' by being doubled on the f-file. It lets you trade the former g-pawn for a central pawn, making it impossible to create a passed pawn there. A much easier draw than if the pawns were left intact.

I started trying to learn ~ 4 weeks ago after finding this channel. I play on lichess, mostly v computer for the first two weeks, till I could beat level 1 fairly comfortably then so so level 2. Also the puzzles are really good on there. They have introductory lessons as well which are really nice. About two week ago I started with chessable, learning some openings, and endgame practice. Basically the free courses on there. Then ofc keeping up with this channel.
@pathutchison76886 жыл бұрын
I’d recommend that you simply start a paying games. You’ll lose a lot at first But it doesn’t matter. Don’t study anything about openings at first. There are some good books for beginners but I’m not sure which to recommend. I’m sure some others on here can give you some advice on which books to read. I will say that learning to play chess will be an extremely rewarding experience. You will begin to see things differently. Not only across the chess board, but in life in general. I envy you and the great journey you are about to begin.
