The 2019 Hellcat Redeye is hitting the streets and under the hood is a lot of magic that was borrowed fro the Dodge Demon. That includes many of the 6.2L supercharged bits that allows the Redeye to produce 797 HP! Is this the ultimate muscle car for the road? Check out all the details!

Legendary Loso, Go on the Dodge Website, you can build a redeye online and reasonably loaded it comes up to $75,000. Compare that to the GT500 that has less power, way less torque and weighs 4100 lbs for $75,000 plus a $30k-$40k dealer markup for the BASE.

Great review - always enjoy hearing your opinions. You have very good taste and a good sense for what’s important. That car is absolutely beautiful. Fender flares, snorkel hood make this one exceptional. I started my passion as a kid with my 73 Challenger. Revisited the car with a ‘09 when they introduced the SRT8 as a manual ...’08 was auto only. Enjoyed it on the highway in a straight line. Ended up having a disappointing issue with it and switched over to a Boss 302. As good as the Redeye looks - at 91k and auto, and 4500 lbs ... I’ll enjoy admiring that car whenever I see one on the road.

As an eventual buyer of a sports car, this is the level of review I like to see. You have a lot of knowledge of why certain features of cars were engineered into the car. Great content. You have the right level of enthusiasm. Realistic enthusiasm, not over the top enthusiasm. Your Zonks are spot on too. Keep up the great videos. Are you going to do any on the Audi TTRS or VW Golf R?

Great review Joe. Love the front splitter that goes up into the fender. Back in the day, that style, which never appeared in a Mopar product, was referred to as the "Elephant Tusk" design. No cooled brake rotors? Hmmmm. Weight is also questionable. Can you imagine if they knocked off 500lbs, or even better, 1,000lbs? As to design, Dodge nailed it although I'm not a fan of dual-snorkel hood. As to price, that's probably the deal breaker, along with the fact that you can't get it with a manual trans. Coupled with all the other detailed Zonks you came up with, I'd probably end up with a red eye, or two of them, if I purchased one.
@RaitisRides
@RaitisRides 5 жыл бұрын
Thank for sharing that info about the Elephant Tusk design. I never knew that! This Redeye would be even more insane if it weighed 500-1000lbs less, especially in the handling department! Maybe you might get a black eye from your Corvette buddies!

Your reviews are always top notch. There's emotion behind it. I agree with you about the texture on the dashboard. Even it's soft but it makes it look cheap . It would be justified if the price wouldn't exceed 50k but for 90k I want something that blows my mind because I'm not seeing the vehicle from the outside when I'm driving it. The seats I never liked them too big in my opinion. Don't get me wrong I love the Challenger but Dodge should put more passion in interior design.

Well if you want to be noticed ,this is the car ,nobody I know goes to a track ,so it's about straight line Camaro is still a hot mess ,looks like it's made with Lego And the mustang ,well they all end up in to the guardrail ,tons of chicks or hurtz rent a car , When they talk about the end of the muscle cars before they are all electric this is the one that will be remembered Am I right ?

If you want to be noticed and have $91,000 this is NOT the car. You've got to be kidding me. If you want to make a lot of noise like an obnoxious high schooler in your middle age there are still far better alternatives. Why would you think they would remember this one over the new GT500 or any other top end one? If electric cars do overtake these cars then it would be remembered as the last huff and puff loud tire spinner before a car the new Roadster becomes cheaper and more main stream. The problem with this car is it does little more than overpower itself. It's the same exact car as it's half priced versions where-as the competition is noticeably/visually different from their counterparts.

Hey, Joe. What about all these blogs and vlogs (several here on KZbin) about the rust issues already occurring under the new Redeye? I haven't read that much into it, other than the basics, but there could be a major recall or class action lawsuit down the road. Other than that, I still think they need to drop 500lbs (or more) to make these Challengers better. Cheers, buddy.

EasyRider - I can only assume what "major and the Minors" means, but the two articles I've read stated it was much more than typical surface rust. Regardless, even with road salt (in places that use it) there shouldn't be that much rust on a 2019 car. Just passing on the info. Cheers.
