My friends dad had a original 240z in this exact color, and similar decals on it. He never knew the new Z was on sale till I showed him this car. He said he's in love with it and is considering getting one in orange when it comes out. Grille looks amazing, love the review Joe!

Perhaps Nissan will do a facelift where the grille will have the Heritage Edition design. Let's also not forget that the 350z kind of had a somewhat similar grille only it was not as in your face.

@@thepolishitalian Yup. I bought a '22 Supra (and love it). But when I was shopping, it was between the Supra, the Z, and the Camaro SS. Ultimately, the Supra won, but if the Z had this front bumper, the choice definitely would have been tougher. I just couldn't get over that big rectangle in the front. It killed the other flowy lines for me.

Hey Joe, I have to agree with the Zonks you’ve mentioned...it should have more horsepower to separate it from the other Z’s and it definitely can use the orange accents you pointed out. Nissan finally got it right giving it a manual transmission! They still need to make it an option with the other Z’s.

I have a 24 Z Performance and I absolutely hands freaking down I love it! I love the attitude it has, I also enjoy that my wife can drive it like a normal boring car. If you don’t want to race or drive with a heavy foot, don’t and it’s still a blast to drive!

@RaitisRides nissan sent allocation info out for these a few months back. dealers who sold 10 Zs or more get 3 of these heritage editions. dealers who sold 6 get 2 and others dealers get 1 of the remaining based on their overall sales. Nissan stated MSRP is 59,135 but real world base price is 61,185 with the required mats and kickplates and destination

Give the Z NISMO around 440-460 HP and this Heritage Edition 425-430. Beautiful car love the stripes and the orange and the interior needs a splash of orange accents. I really dig this car though thanks Joe for bringing the awesome review!

I mean to this day I still haven’t seen a new Z on the road much less a Nismo . I’d sure love to though😅 What’s going on is it still something with paint? That’s what I’d read eons ago. That front end is uhhh something 😅😂 I don’t like it full stop but I don’t love the standard Z front end either. However I don’t drive a car as my disability prevents me from doing so at least as far as without adaptations so my opinion doesn’t matter much

I believe the appearance package is worth all of the 5k price increase. I prefer manual on a two seater so this is more appealing to me than the Nismo. I love the way the redesigned Zs front bumper looks in its original launch but do also like the split grille design. Either way looks great to me. I saw a 2024 metallic white Z with black wheels and a blue interior in manual at the Nissan dealership here on Maui and I think it’s the perfect color combination.

Hey Raiti, great show. I think that for 5k extra it's cool for the looks but I hope the wide body isn't just stick on, yes it needs a orange interior orange and break calipers. It needs a bit more. As much as I love the Z as a owner of a 88ZX turbo with T-tops of course I want Nissan to return the T-Tops. Give a orange Z shifter, orange stripe on the 12 o'clock of a flat bottom steering wheel, orange seatbelts, orange stitching on the door panels are some good ideas that I feel nissan missed a opportunity. Lastly remember the Infiniti g35 in the mid 2000 and how they sound, let bring sound engineering back nissan!

Only thing I'm really not a fan of is the silver trim like you mentioned and agree it should be black as well. While I haven't been in one of the new ones just based off what I have watched in reviews, would extra hp really do anything when people say it has a hard time putting down the power it makes currently in a good way? Good looking car though.

Outside looks great that front grill is really cleaned up! Not really disappointed with no horsepower bump because 400 is decent for that size car. And not a huge price bump. But you’re right, they totally dropped the ball by not doing anything special with the interior! Just adding some orange in there wouldn’t cost a lot.

Nissan in Japan has suspended all Z orders there because they aren't able to deliver them. The suspension has been in place for almost a year. Lol! They must be prioritizing US customers?

I paid a little extra for one of the last 24 Camaros because of the outstanding metallic black paint, wheels that complement it, great spoiler, quad exhaust, splitter, tech, and ambient lighting choices. (Plus, my locally owned Chevy dealer does great work on my old car at fair prices). So, part of it may be called "stickers and paint," but boy is it beautiful! And it goes without saying that the engine is fantastic! I love Nissan, but I wouldn't trade my Camaro for anything. I am hoping the push for EVs will diminish after the Nov. election and carmakers will get a break from the govt breathing down their necks.

Agree 100%. Overall a nice, modern interpretation of a Classic......but what are they thinking? Red calipers on an orange car. WOW! A big miss with a simple fix. Orange or black calipers. Please! Also, that chrome roof trim needs to be black.....and that black Z stripe is incomplete and needs to end in front of the rear tire. On the inside, simple orange seat belts or maybe a few 'discreet' orange trim pieces would go a long ways to liven up the dark space and tie it to the exterior. Last, a few extra horsepower (maybe an exhaust) would help make it special and more than just a styling exercise. I am baffled how a manufacturer, that puts so much money and time into development can miss and not see what appears to be obvious. Maybe customer focus groups could help to ensure that something "special" is not dead on arrival. For $60k, I don't want to spend more time and money to make it right, so unfortunately, I am Out. :-(

I saw a Z the other day (I drive a '22 supra). The Z was actually pretty nice looking in person (side and rear view). I pulled up behind it at a light, so I didn't get to see the front bumper, which is the part I dislike about it. I like what they did with the front bumper on this heritage edition though.

It is a perfect modernized version of the classic Z cars. I would go so far as to call this a Japanese Porsche. I am still very impressed with these cars. Would be cool if they release a Maxima with this engine and transmission.

I just saw the Z at a showroom here in Dubai, but ironically I haven't seen one on the road, even being parked. this Heritage Edition Z is dope. the front fascia looks better that the standard new Z front end just became more boring. Believe it or not, there are more Chinese compact SUVs and EV cars on Dubai roads than GT-Rs and Zs.

Nissan hit the target with the exterior, but a hard miss on the little things that would make it very unique and worth the $5k premium. Like having S30 stitched on the headrests, all stitching in orange, brake calipers in black with either HE or S30 on them. Also, 20-inch wheels would have looked better. So much missed. It's the little things that tie the package together.

I honestly don't have an issue with the fact that the Heritage Edition of the new Nissan Z has only 400 horsepower. The Heritage Edition is more of a throwback in design and not so much in adding performance and horsepower. But they definitely missed the mark on the interior unless the orange details are an optional extra. Regardless, this makes me excited for the possibility of other special additions down the line. Who knows, there could be a special edition coming along that has the same horsepower as the new Z Nismo, but instead of an automatic, it'll get a manual instead. From a business standpoint, I think it makes sense since this is something that Porsche has done time and time again where you have cars like the 911 Turbo S that isn't offered with a manual, but then you get cars like the 911 Sport Classic which uses the Turbo S engine, but it has a manual transmission. Think of it as a "don't throw all your eggs into one basket" type of scenario. You don't want to have all the good stuff right out the gate, you want to see what else could be in store for future iterations of the car. For all we know we could get a convertible version of the new Z. I know that Nissan is in a bit of a financial situation along with Infiniti, but as long as they make the right business decisions, good things could be coming our way when it comes to the Z.

Nissan claims they couldn’t have a manual in the Nismo, because it couldn’t take more power (I think) without developing another transmission, which would cost too much. So I doubt they could add HP to this manual heritage, but they could be lying about the Nismo? 🤷🏼‍♂️

I have a '24 gunmetal Z sport (most are gunmetal 😅) I like my front end better, and that bright orange definitely is for a special person...any car with those colors reminds me of Halloween, but these 2 points are purely opinion. Not incorporating orange accents in the interior (like they did the Proto using yellow) is a disappointment, being a special edition. Also agree, should be matching calipers! $60k is sooo much money for this car.

Honestly i feel like it looks good but it would be nice if they had more than just exterior bits like maybe a different suspension and tire setup for better handling. Also i think the new front bumper shouldn't be just exclusive to the heritage edition I feel like the Z Performance should come with that front bumper standard to give it a sportier look and to differentiate the two trims a bit more. I feel like with the interior they were going for trying to give it the same color as the 240z which was basically all black but it would've been nice if they added the special orange and black or some sort of two tone color in the interior. About the power I don't think they should've changed because 400hp lets be realistic here is already quite a bit of power for the street and for 95% of people its definitely enough HP to have fun with in my opinion its not just about shear HP its how the car is to drive and Driving experience but a new maybe sportier exhaust would've been nice. Overall i think its great looking car but maybe a lil pricey though but thats most new sports cars these days. Hopefully in a couple years when im like 19 or 20 cars like these depreciate quite a bit and i can pick one up used for cheaper. but overall id give this Z a 9/10

Looks good. In Aus dnt think we have it or will get it. Either way, not seen many Z's in my are only 1-2. Even in Sydney never seen a normal Z on the road. Dont think they doin to well here. At the prices over here, most go for the WRX, GR Corolla, Yaris, Type R. The Z is in the realm of the Golf R and Supra prices.
