Considering the new features and inflation if you found one without a markup is it worth the extra $4.5k? 🤷♂️

The increased MSRP is not because of inflation, It's corporate greed.

I bought my first tacoma ever. A 2024 sr5 with the upgrades. I paid over 50k. Way too much! I regret paying that much. As far as the truck goes, It's solid. Very comfortable, and looks amazing. My biggest 2 complaints are the price and the small gas tank. I get around 250 mpg on a full tank of gas. Anyone else have this problem?

Nice comparison. You forgot to mention the 4th gen SR5, doesn't have power seats.

You didn’t mention that you’re leasing so you don’t plan to keep this long term like many of us

My lease ends in 6 months on my 2022 SR5. I'll probably end up buying it because I love the V6 and 6 speed auto. It's black with some blue metallic flakes in the paint and has the red trimmed interior highlights. Has not given me a single issue for 30k miles now. Averaging right at 20mpg city and I've managed to squeeze 30mpg going 60mph on country roads. I do love the look of the 2024 SR5 but I don't like that they removed simple features like power seats and the rear opening window. That and I question long term reliability with the turbo 4 and I hate 8 speed autos.

I just got a SR-5 4WD double cab long bed for around $38k. Mine doesn't have that auto start/stop feature but I'm kind of a skeptic on that technology anyway.

Hell to the NO is the new redesigned Tacoma worth the price. My loaded 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road, double cab, long bed with the Premium and Technology pkgs MSRP was $51,848. It was a new left over 23. I bought it on 2/29/24. Apparently no one wanted a 6’ bed and I Need the 6’ bed. Our local dealership added running boards, a Tri-fold tonneau cover, free lifetime oil changes and tire rotation and an 8 year 75K mile bumper to bumper extended warranty, all of this for Free. I really wanted to buy a Tacoma like mine in 15, but we were getting ready to build our dream home, so the money that we had saved to pay cash for the 15 went into our new house. We traded in my 11 Ranger and sold my 11 Rav 4WD Limited with the 3.5L V6 so we could go from 3 vehicles down to 2. Even though the MSRP was $51,848 and the dealership added everything listed above for free, they also dropped the price to $48K. Was my 23 TRD worth the $48K that I paid for it? NO, NOPE, NADDA ! The same 2015 Tacoma TRD identical to my 23 was $34K in 15. I don’t know about anyone else , but my pay has Not increased by $18K per year in the last 9 years, has yours? My income has actually Decreased since I retired, but my wife and I are frugal and we saved up enough money for the difference in price. Thankfully I drive only 6-8K miles per year now so I’ll be driving my 23 until I die. I’m quite sure that my wife will still be using my TRD to plow the 5-7 feet of snow off our private road and driveway until she too passes away. Since I bought my Tacoma I’ve installed a Cold Air intake and the OTT. My Tacoma came with the TRD Performance exhaust system and currently my Tacoma has 318 horsepower and 295 lb ft of torque at 2,300 RPMs, while still giving me 21.9 mpg at 86mph.

Have a 3rd gen sr5 4x4 iconic looks love the simplicity and proven v6 . But I wouldn’t say it’s better than my 4th gen sport premium.. 50k out the door.. 👍🏼

Almost trade my 2022 Tacoma for one. Glad I changed my mind and decided to keep my 3rd gen. Feels like this just came out and hasn’t proved itself good yet. Wouldn’t be worth trading it in. Feels like epa forced Toyota to add a 4 cylinder turbo. Doesn’t seem like something Toyota would do.
@mattcowley8964 ай бұрын
Not worth it. They could have just made improvements to the V6 and got the same performance as the Turbo 4 and keeping long term reliability.

The interst rates are way too high! If you're financing it. So with that being said if you can do without it until possibly in the near future a person will have to wait till the interest rate gets back below at least 2.99%

Somebody in my location, somebody bought 2024 SR5 for around $42,000. Another $2,000, $3,000, could have bought TRD.😂

I paid 39,000 MSRP for my Trd off-road 2023 which comes out to roughly 43,000 out the door that had four-wheel-drive, dual climate control and powered seats. This 2024 is $1000 less but it doesn’t have any of that stuff not even four-wheel-drive!! so I would say no it’s not worth it.

I’ve had a few tacos for years now and I’m honestly at the point where I’d rather have an Isuzu! The taco needs to be about 30k for the TRD with the OTT tune already on it. Scrap the SR5 and 2WD. These 2024s are gonna sit on the lot!

LOOK, the ALL NEW Toyota Tacoma with the same Old Outdated Depressing Gloomy Grey or Boring, Dead, Disgusting Black interior colors. Those Horrible interior colors were Great 34 years ago when EVERY AUTOMAKER decided that those 2 colors would be a nice change from Blue interiors. Now here we are, 34 years later and those colors are still being shoved down everyone’s throats. My 23 TRD Off Road double cab, 6’ bed with the Premium and Technology pkgs came with the Horrible Black Leather interior. For Christmas this year my wife is having my Ice White Tacoma 2 toned in Barcelona Red , following the body lines of the lower part of the exterior sheet metal. Next year for my 60th birthday my wife is having Katzkin make Lava Red (Barcelona Red) Leather seat covers with Black trim and stitching. Katzkin will remove the 🖕🏽-ing Black Leather seat covers and replace them with the Lava Red Leather for my Tacoma’s interior. I had my last pickup 2 toned in Red metallic and my wife loved it. I also had Grey and Black interior colors in my 11 Ranger 4WD super cab, 6’ bed, so I bought Red and Black neoprene seat covers for our Ford. The Ranger was Silver and the 2 toned Red set it apart from the rest. Yes my wife spoils me and yes I spoil her in other ways as well.
