What a sweet ride! Love the agressive look. LOVE the blue color! Those forged aluminum wheels with the brakes and red clipers are bad-ass man! I've owned two Corollas in the past and they were amazing reliable cars but they were nothing like this beast! I can't believe this is a Corolla!

The blue stitching helps but other than that it the interior looks like Toyota consulted Zorro. There is a aftermarket armrest and you can wedge a spare tire in. “If you would have waited”, at 73 I pulled the trigger on a Core. The GRC is some solid engineering. Thanks Joe, keep um coming

Dang you get quite a bit of goodies for 42k msrp. Carbon hood, forged wheels, slotted rotors, etc. the No arm test/console is kind of strange. Love all the vents are functional. Really the only zonk for me is the tacked on fender in the rear. If they did a real wide body this would be excellent.

Is it just me or does it look like they moved the brake pedal over a bit in the walk around. I am shopping for a GR and I noticed the spacing between the brake and gas was a bit wide for heel toe when I was sitting in it. It's a pretty significant concern for me.

When you said there was new stuff for 2024, I thought for sure that would have included the lacking for 2023 center armrest. I personally like a center console that rises above the level of the front seats, like the Civic/Integra, and the Elantra N. Anything less to me kind of feels a little low rent. Mazda also does a great job in that regard with the Mazda 3, however; it isn't quite at the same level of performance as the previous mentioned 3. It wouldn't be a deal breaker with the GR Corolla, as the total package is pretty incredible, especially in that new flame blue.

The vents are closed off on the circuit edition. Due to the large rear spoiler, this trim is the only one that has front vents blocked off to reduce/cancel any air turbulence. Also, I think this is a Canadian model. The US spec does not get any bumper sensors.

They've reworked the aero to make the front vents work for the 2024 Circuit Editions, so they're now open. This is not the Canadian model, the Canadian models also do not have parking sensors, and also have matte grills and valences. Parking sensors are again a new feature for 2024.

The only thing I wonder about is tuning. How much more power could you really squeeze out of a 3cyl engine if you decide to mod it, I don't think it would be a ton before you break the engine.

From what I've seen/found online, the rockers break north of 400, but it can take more with mods on stock rotating assy.

@carlstrohm3785 from what I understand with the upgraded valve springs on the corolla, the only issue they've found is gasket lift at 480whp, whatever that translates to at the crank. They remedied that by reinforcing the upper region. Can't remember the exact video I'll provide a link when I find it.

Not sure this would compete with a Golf R, at least not around me. The (5) GR Corollas for sale around me are the core edition with the track pack. MSRP is just under $39,000, several dealers said they would sell it to me for MSRP. The (1) Golf R around me was $48k with $4k markup. $13,000 may not be a lot of money to some people, but it is to me.

To anyone concerned about markup, there are dealers out there who honor MSRP. It will just take you looking and maybe driving a bit further out. I picked up my Circuit at MSRP in SuperSonic Red. I called about 8 dealers and finally found one selling for MSRP. If this is a car you want, it’s worth the hard work to find one for the right price. Good luck 👍
