Another enjoyable review, Mr. Raiti! Not very different from your excellent review of the 2023 Sport Touring trim...which is understandable, since Honda hasn't changed very much since then. As long as we're all focusing on trivial zonks like light bulb rear turn signals and analog speedometers, I'll mention the Sport Touring has more glossy black trim on the doors and dash than this model, which is more like my daughter's CRV-EX...the Sport Touring looks nicer but again...that's trivial. 2 questions: Does the Sport-L have the excellent 12 speaker Bose system like the Touring editions, or a lesser system...and does it have the acoustically lined window glass and wheel well sound proofing? Back in 23, I test drove both the Sport Touring and the Sport, and the Sport Touring was noticeably quieter than the Sport. Honda has improved on road noise, but on coarse pavement they still have some work to do. I love my Sport Touring which, in 23, stickered just above 40k and I thought it was worth the extra cost in my lease over the Sport. The only flaws in mine are an occasional rattle somewhere inside the left side of the dash, which doesn't pop up often enough for me to have the dealer disassemble the dash to find it, and I have more frequent drop outs in my Sirius/XM than I had in my previous leased high-end Accords. I miss the HUD compass and, just a bit, the ventilated seats. On the latter, the AC--even in economy mode--cools the car very quickly. I beat the EPA numbers in urban cycle during warm weather...often 42-44 mpg, and 29-32 on the interstate, averaging around 37 mpg in mixed driving. Yes, the numbers drop off during cold weather. Excellent off-the-line torque, and more than adequate passing power on relatively level terrain...haven't tried passing on a steep upgraded 2 lane road, though. The AWD seemed to work well in last winter's one week of really snowy weather here in Buffalo, but I don't doubt the Subaru's AWD is a better system for snow. I'm a low mileage driver and just hit 10k miles after 18 months, but I STILL look forward to every drive, unless I'm taking an antsy dog to the vet. PS: the chrome around the side windows doesn't bother me in the least. 2nd PS: the heated steering wheel in the Sport Touring is great! I only wish seats heated as quickly as the steering wheel.

American Honda has gotten so greedy and stingy with this new CR-V. Other manufacturers offer more features for less. It’s a shame as I’ve owned a Civic and currently own a previous gen CR-V. I want to consider another Honda but these prices aren’t compelling compared to what other brands offer for the money. I also hate how Honda only offers the hybrid in sport trims. The black rims are ugly as they look like a car with missing hubcaps imo and a black interior is so drab and it gets hotter during the summer. This is just a way for Honda to cost cut by offering fewer interior colors/trim pieces for the hybrid and not a lot of choices for the customer.
