Nice. Just the review I was looking for. I wanted to know if they were any good. Might just throw a piece of leather or something on the backing part for the finish but SOLD! Ordering mine now.

Thanks for this. I was about to buy a new guitar, and thought i'd have to spend another $30-40 for a stand....

I have this stand, it works fine. The one downside is that solidbody guitars lean really far back compared to acoustics, so if you are lining them against a wall you won’t be able to put them as close to the wall as you might like.

I have one of those stands. It is a decent stand, but I would not trust it around kids or dogs since it has no neck support.

McRican yeah I think it’s meant to be a compact solution for gigging.

Agreed; I have one very similar and I'm always concerned it getting bumped; yes, even on stage. People do come up on stages intoxicated. The other thing is that you have to be careful with your fingers. That accidentally pinch them picked up incorrectly.

You can't trust *anything* around kids and dogs! I have a similar stand (lower, though), and have never had a problem with it in the past 10+ years. It seems like it wo9ld be less stable than my other stand *with* a neck support, but in practice, in my life (a cat, no kids) it has been really good. And it takes less space (feet-wise) than the one with the neck.

I went and purchased this stand on Amazon. It works great for my electric guitar. Basic, cheap and effective. 👍

Just bought two last week for a vintage tele and a used squire strat. Very stable and i can leave the cords attached (although a really bad idea with kids and dogs).

I'm a metal head and I don't own a lot of normal symmetrical-shaped guitars. This stand will not hold either of my Explorers nor will it hold my FRX E-II. Also, the angle is not steep enough for me. It's just a matter of time before I knock it across the room. I'm returning mine. If you could adjust the bottom arms, it would work. Too bad you can't cuz they're soldered to the frame. Bummer. I have a regular guitar stand it holds all of my odd-shaped guitars. Just wanted to see how these worked.

My entire four-guitar collection sits on stands exactly like that. I paid even less for them from an online market here in Malaysia: about US$7. As you say, they work fine. I don't own any nitro-finished guitars so the rubber pads are not a problem. An Ovation acoustic will be fine on the stand. I'd only worry about guitars with an oddly-shaped bottom e.g. a Jazz bass or an Explorer or a flying V.

yep, my jazz bass didn't work in these type of stands, i just bought a guitar hanger for a very cheap price of like 3 dollars and just hanged it

Penny wise, pound foolish. Pay a little more and get a stand that is much more stable.

I Dylan I have a question and I can´t really find anything on it on the internet so I´m asking you. I want to build a telecaster and I was looking for the right neck, so I heard of warmoth. But there are just to many options for the woods and there are some really exotic ones ... Can you tell me (or show me) what the tone differences are in these neck woods ?!

great stand i have my fender stand as my main one n i wanted a cheap one to hold my backup les paul and this one works perfect i like it cause it takes up half the space as one with a tripod keg stand would take up

Love my low-profile stand. I keep a black t-shirt with it, just to drape over, so it never actually touches the nitro finish on my Gibby

i have a few of those execpt under a different brand name. after a little bit of use the rubber material that holds the guitar will start to scrunch up and rip. good stands tho

Mr. Dylan can you please a video and test on Audio Taper vs Linear Taper on Volume and Tone ?

The music during your presentation is terribly distracting and obnoxious.

Wanna REALLY push the envelope? Order from Wish. Com. THAT is the definition of a crapshoot. I got 2 clip on headstock tuners. $3 each. Useless. $3 straplocks are excellent. Random picks were ok.

Dylan, I just checked. We have the same stands. The rubber that holds the bottom of the guitars, has worn.

Do you have an Ovation you could test in there? With the rounded guitar back (or even arched back), before I buy one I want to make sure there are no stability issues without a neck holder... Love your videos, Dylan. Thanks!

Thomas Bray ah man, I sure don’t. That’s a great question. Fortunately, it is not expensive and can be returned. Let us know what you find!
