Lightroom absolutely has the film simulations for Fuji. They are under Profile > Camera Matching. You just don't get the grain, or any of the extra adjustments you've done in camera. You can also set your autofocus as wide/tracking and have a box to place on faces/eyes, like how you would have face/eye priority on sony's tracking. I'm not sure why they call it wide tracking, when it still gives you a box to choose what to track, the terminology is different to what sony would call 'wide'.

Film sims in lightroom are still very very different from straight out of camera, but they are fun to play around with and to use as a starting point

Nice! Another solution for editing the Fuji RAW’s is by using Fujifilm X Raw Studio, and connect the camera. It uses the camera’s hardware processing to render the photos, and you can change all the camera settings for the RAW images, like film simulations, shadow, grain, white balance etc. Copy and paste settings to a whole selection of photos in one go. It’s not as fast as Lightroom, but it’s not too bad. This could be a way to get the true Fuji colours, with desktop monitor colour precision, and batch conversion, for free (if you own a Fujifilm camera).

I think full frame would be better for weddings. The ability to change to a faster lens and using one with zoom is a godsend. Better contrast and autofocus as well. The x100 line is a very good camera but not sold out, pre-ordered into oblivion, scalped like hell good.

Very useful as I’m taking my X100VI to my nephew’s wedding in a couple of weeks. At my dad’s 90th party weekend the bride to be was asked to take a few family shots on the Fuji. She said ‘wow this is a really great camera’. I told her it’ll be at her big day in London as a back up/candid. I tend to take dual photos by selecting a relevant sim and a Fuji RAW backup. As I was brought up in 70s to 2000s using Provia, Velvia, Reala, and Fuji neg (with the odd Kodak 100 or 200 roll) I know which sim suits which scene or lighting. Used to mean carrying two SLR bodies…. On a recent major trip I tried a few sims. Velvia is superb for landscapes, flowers, very dull days. Provia is a good all round option and Reala Ace probably the standout for mixed lighting with people. I noticed you didn’t seem to use fill in flash. Was this the lens hood constraint or your wish to be discrete as a candid/back up? For candid video an iPhone 15 Pro Max is brilliant either using Blackmagic and post or the excellent Apple 4K cinematic mode where people are moving around. In a film rig with a quality stereo mic like the Shure 88 series, it’s a fantastic micro system for video. It’s also excellent at grabbed people shots where it seems to know it’s a portrait and offers up very clever post DOF options to blur the background.

I just got this camera. I’m pretty excited to learn the controls as it’s a different from my main XH2. X100VI is going to be my back up camera for a wedding I’m shooting.

I have the X-H2S, and being a hybrid camera, having that separate video record button is convenient to go from photo to video. But I also find the IBIS works wonky/less good in vertical mode. I wonder if that's something firmware can fix, because I like to get IG reel content during photo time too. For now my iPhone 14 Pro stabilizes WAY better.

hi there, thanks for the video. i shot 3 weddings in the last weeks with a x100vi as a second "main" camera. 60% percent of the images with fuji. quite good so far, but the af-c and eye-priority produces often out of focus images. other than that I like the camera, since it is lightweight. for 3k images i need 3-4 batteries.

Or at least here in Canada At Henry's. awful company. did the same with my r5 waited 6 months for it day one pre order too. so lesson learned just only buy online screw physical locations and helping and SCREW HENRY'S CAMERA :D

I’m enjoying mine. Like the new film simulation. I still need to use it for video. I tried a talking head test and it worked pretty good but obviously the screen is not video ideal

I have the X100VI. Did you use a function button for back-button focus, or was that based on the trigger? In your video, you were pressing the shutter quickly several times, which leads me to think you had another finger on a function button for back-button focusing. Thanks. I've shot about 4000 frames so far, and I'm about to do a factory reset before shooting, as you say, "bonus" shots at a family wedding this weekend.

You should buy the Anker 5000mah Nano charger for charging a camera! It's a very small battery pack without a cable - just stick it in the USB-C port and you're set

It should come default to the small custom button on the top right beside the shutter
@homerhorowitz76495 ай бұрын
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto that pulls up a focus menu that allows you to switch into different focus modes. On my r5/6 you can program it to switch into eye tracking from single point while you're holding it down. Very useful if you like to use single point most of the time but want to switch to face tracking/servo quick when needed. It feels a bit like backbotton focusing but smarter.

To me, as a primary camera at the price it just doesn't make sense. No doubt it is a beautiful camera and I would love to have one as an alternative to my A7IV, but when you consider compact ILC's such as the A7C Mark ii it's a hard no for me.
