The majority of these Sequoia TRD Pro will spend most of the time on the paved road as a family SUV. Clearance is good enough for that.

yes the 3rd row takes up to much cargo space when folded down one can save $15k an and go for the base GX550 overtrail not overtrail +

How is this behemoth any better than the Expedition Timberline??

A straight rear axle, a two-speed transfer case, 33s and a real locking rear diff. All the basic offroad gear. The Explore might be better on road.

@mr2gud2u The Toyota performed the EXACT same as the Ford so all that TRD off road goodness did amount to anything special in the real world
@mr2gud2u10 ай бұрын
@jmc6000 C'mon, you sound ignorant right now. If the content creators had used 4Lo, ATRAC, and locked the rear diff, it would have gone differently. Go wheeling with some people with locking diffs or just watch a few videos that test open diffs with and without TC vs a locking diffs. It's a night and day difference.

This is painful to watch. Maybe that's what they wanted to do. Off-roading is a skill FOR SURE.
@TexasTruckChannel6 ай бұрын
It was painful to make as well. Something to keep in mind that this is a press vehicle, meaning 2 things for us. 1. Don’t damage it. This means using a speed that won’t bottom out based on the vehicle’s approach angle, ride height, and shock tuning. Check out one of our raptor hill tests for an example of that mattering much less, and our speed accordingly. 2. We like to test vehicles objectively based on their off road systems, specs as built. This means testing them all on the same hill using the same method so that you guys can compare accurately. Anyone is welcome to judge our off roading “skill” as they wish. It takes skill to consistently not damage press vehicles. Thanks for watching!

@@TexasTruckChannel the reasons you wrote is what I based on to say it’s painful. I mean, there was many times that thing could be pushed harder but I saw you guys restraining, that’s why I wrote “maybe that’s what you wanted”. At least I understand the pain you guys had to endure. And yes I believe it takes skills not to damage a car. I broke my rear axle yesterday while off-roading. Otherwise keep making videos.

@TexasTruckChannel I live in The Woodlands, and a guy in my development bought a TRDpro Sequoia and then had a 2" lift put at all 4 corners. It's got a ton of ground clearance now, although it looks kinda dumb. I think he put Ridge Grapplers on it too.
