My wife rides this ebike and she's very happy with it. I think Mycle have hit the nail on the head, looks smart and has plenty of power for leasure cycling.

Bicycles are a great local transportation option. Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles safely. Safe, protected bike lanes and trails are needed to encourage more older adults and children to ride bicycles or scooters. Ebikes are bringing many older adults back to cycling. Healthy exercise, fossil fuels free transportation and great for social distancing. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly.

I love the classic look of this bike - and electric is a bonus! Great review, and absolutely smart of you to suggest using another lock to go with the included one. Very helpful!!!

Lovely video. It’s the milage that’s the #1 compromise. I got a 50 max for £1100. 70 mile max will be up to £1500, 80 mile £2000 etc.

A couple of years ago we bought a ebike from Decathlon priced 599.00. The same bike is now 899.99. Given the overall parts on this bike it makes better value then the Decathlon. Excellent review. Stay Safe!

I'm 6ft tall is the bike to big for me? Is the pedal assistant good to as I don't think it uses a torque sensor? Looks lovely, great informative and entertaining receive.

I'd recommend messaging Mycle with your inseam measurement to see if the saddle will go high enough for you. The pedal assist is good, it's reactive without kidding in too much.

Any recommendations on locks? I have an older mtb that is decked out in panniers for grocery shopping, but I hope to "upgrade". Definitely would have to upgrade my lock as well...
@OneLessCar3 жыл бұрын
I've used liteloks locks for years after buying one on a Kickstarter campaign for my ride across Canada, they had the best rating for the weight. I still use them but now I also have a Lobster lock attached to my bike which is great because I now can't forget to bring a lock when I go out because it's attached to my bike using the water bottle cage bolts. And I carry both in the shop onelesscar.life/collections/security 😀 any questions let me know.

My worry is that your £1000 is going to be spread very thin indeed, especially with labelled components like Shimano. So the cost cutting has to be on the rims, bearings, and contact points.
@OneLessCar3 жыл бұрын
This is probably true but not a huge deal on a bike that's ridden a few kilometres around town at moderate speeds. A heavier rider may find that things wear out faster but that's the case on most bikes.
@lizcollinson26922 жыл бұрын
You are right to be concerned, brakes are not shimano, the gears on the one I bought weren't either. My bakes have failed and they are fighting me on the repair because I refused to wait over two weeks for them to send out parts and give proof, I offered to send them the parts back, but no, it has to be at thier pace and specification.

Cool! I always thought, that 24" is a perfect wheel size for the city 👩🏼🔧
@OneLessCar2 жыл бұрын
That's interesting. Why do you find 24" to be the perfect city wheel?
@ashleighmason49822 жыл бұрын
Well, I think 24" is big enough to tackle curbs, tram rails, cobbles and all the city environment. It also rolls better, than classic folding bike's 20". On the other hand it's small enough to be handy in doors, lifts, etc. I find it also more comfortable with luggage, front and/or rear racks may be lower than usual, which gives you more space and lower center of gravity. But maybe it's the opposite, maybe it's the combination of disadvantages of both big and small sizes?
@AlexRaha3 жыл бұрын
Great vid. What was it like for weight? Did you have any issues wheeling it around? (E.g. getting on and off kerbs etc.). Seems good value.
@OneLessCar3 жыл бұрын
It's about average weight for an ebike under £2000 it weights 22kg. I had no issues pushing it or getting it over curbs. I wouldn't want to carry it up a flight of stairs though!
@markowsley49543 жыл бұрын
That's a good looking bike and I can't argue about the price. It would have been better to have 26 inch wheels if for no other reason but to find spares easier. (On a side note love listening to you talk, combination of a Canadian accent with some English accent 🙂)
@OneLessCar3 жыл бұрын
Yes 26" wheels would have made finding tyres and inner tube replacements easier for sure. My accent has become a bit messed up after 15 years in the UK and due to Covid it's been over 2 years since I've been home for a visit to top up my Canadian one!

What it like riding with motor off. I’d assume it would be bad as a rear hub.
@OneLessCar3 жыл бұрын
It's just like pedling a heavy bike. The gears go pretty low so it is managable if you happened to run out of battery with a few kilometers to ride.
@lizcollinson26922 жыл бұрын
I love the bike, but the after sales customer service is ridiculous. Brakes failed twice, and they spent over 2 weeks to reply despite chasing and then said, I hope you haven't gone ahead with the repair, despite my repeated warnings that was what I was going to do. I depend on my bike for daily travel. One more failure and I'm returning it as faulty.

Hoping my employer improves the cycle to work scheme so I can get an ebike for commuting and one that my better half can use for going out on bike rides together. I wonder how this compares to the eovolt foldable ebikes.

It might be worth asking your HR about it as the scheme has been upgraded to work better with e-bikes, perhaps your employer isn't aware of the changes.
