thanks for this segment. I revisited this after watching the podcast. You are right. This is spectacular. I am a huge prog fan but have not really got into Kansas, I have found them a bit poppy. But this album adds new esteem for me. I agree that there are few good prog bands. One that I would add (actually the USA. prog band that I like the most) is the original Todd Rundgren Utopia. I think their second release Another Live is in my opinion that greatest prog live album by a US band.

I bought this when it was released in 78, a very underrated live album, I've never seen it mentioned in any top 10's. Would definitely be one of mine.

Kansas is a great example of a band that I liked back then but never really fully appreciated. ( just turned 60 yrs old). That changed only about ten years ago. Crazy how that works sometimes. They are aphenomenal band and this s a tremendous live album.

Thanks, Peter. I'm exactly like you. I'm the same age, and I didn't appreciate them back in the day.

Indeed! Both as a live album, but also as a Best Of album, if you want to get the essence of them. Another live album I love and listened to more than I can tell, and which gave me goos bumps every time is Waiting For Columbus by Little Feat.

Hello Pat, I finally did manage to find this review. Pure class indeed. The 30th anniversary release includes the following additional songs: Incomudro Hymn to the Atman, ( Intro) Hopelessly Human, Child of Innocence ( my favorite track), Belexes, Cheyenne Anthem, Lonely Street, Miracles out of nowhere, The Spider, Down the road, Spark of the Tempest, Bringing it back. The Lads were absolutely spot on and in their Prime when this was recorded in 1977/1978. Great review. I am so glad you are enjoying this gem.

An amazing album, Neill. Yes, Trent was awful, he should have been subbed after 20 minutes. If we play like that going forward we won't win the league.
