I just went through the process of buying a new tractor as well. I was in more of the 50 to 70 hp range of tractors. Like you, I went to the big dealers around me, John Deere, Kabota, Kioti, NH/LS, and TYM. Made a spreadsheet and everything the biggest selling points for me the dealership and how long they’ve been in business price and capacities. The T574 won out not only was it $15,000 cheaper than a Kabota $10,000 cheaper than a Deere $8000 cheaper than Kioti but they were in stock with the tires I wanted (R14) with tire balis weight. One of the biggest selling points for me was the Kukje engine with its Simple, mechanical design. And now, because I did not blow the budget on just the tractor, I can now afford implements, which makes the tractor much more usable.

The reason I went with TYM is the price. My dealer was 3 hour away. Still worth it to me, and after following Tony for awhile on here I learned a lot. They are definitely doing something right when it comes to customers. My T25 was built in Rome GA. Since you are good with machines, you'll have no problem with maintaining it.

I did about a year of looking and KZbin researching and at the end of May of this year I purchased a TYM made Mahindra (EMax series). I couldn't be happier, I have the front loader and backhoe. This thing is a workhorse! In five months I have put on a little more than 160 hours and not a single problem. I know if and when the time comes to upgrade, I will defiantly be looking at TYM first.

Great video Lucas. I see TYM as a contender for sure. Here in Michigan the dealer network is slim but I’d seriously consider one. I bought a JD2025R in 2022 and love it but the price was ridiculous. Kubota is getting out of hand too. Main reason is not much competition and brand loyalty. People get caught up in the green versus orange conversation. Lots of KZbinrs out there with TYM’s and they are going strong. I think you are on the right track with a TYM.

I think it is great for the market if TYM can break through and be a contender. The fact that they are adding parts distribution and upping their manufacturing numbers is a good sign they are headed in the right direction.

I made the 1st video on You tube video on how to change oil on a TYM (Kukje made Cummins derived A2300N4 engine) four years ago. TYM started their initiative on the US market in 2018/19. Then Covid hit, so it led to bad timing of doing great in logistics and parts. I'm not an influencer for TYM, I'm just a pay-it-back to the DIY community for years of use of how-to videos on KZbin. I bought my TYM T474 in July of 2020, I now have 550h on my tractor with no mechanical issues whatsoever. I think a lot of 1st time owners of tractors cause their own problems. I grew up around tractors, and recognized the simplicity of the TYM (Kukje engine) being a mechanical injected engine, due to its simplicity I stay true to all factory service and fluid intervals. I truly enjoy my T474 just like Marty on here says, it will service me for many many years.

Hello. I’m not the ideal commenter because I have only had my TYM474 for 3 months. But this is my very brief feedback so far. Has loader and backhoe. Haven’t removed either yet. Been building trails, approaches and driveways and digging out large rocks. It appears to deliver all the power and lift capacities that were advertised. 1 regen at 75 hours. I don’t run high RPMs much as it isn’t needed. Did my own break-in service at 50 hours. It went well but took some time as I’m out in the woods with no facilities and no utilities. Only failure was a hose clamp that came loose on fuel line on the side. Easily accessed and resolved. It has Kukje engine. Took the risk of buying 250 miles from a TYM dealer. It’s great so far. I’m at 80 hours.

2,000 rpms is the happy zone for that engine. If you run it there, you will not have a regen for a very long time the less regens the better. These newer tractor diesels are designed to run high RPMs. Even for me, it is hard to get past the old-school thought of let it idle let it eat, bump those RPMs up. glad you like your tractor.

Been looking at a smaller saw mill like your Mechmaxx to turn some of these trees into a slightly more useful item, my Alaskan sawmill can only get so far haha. I am really enjoying your content, so keep it going! One nice thing about the 25hp tractors in a larger frame is if you tune the injection pump a bit you can get some solid gains and it is hooked up to a driveline that is actually built for it. If your really feeling froggy you can slap a rotary muffler on there (turbo) and get some major gains. The higher factory HP DOC tractors are still solid and reliable its not until you get into the HP levels that require DEF that you really start to have reliability issues. Take care and please be nice to that poor BX she is givin ya all she's got captin.

Kabota, and John Deere have some of the greatest innovations in the industry. If you look at the quick attach features in a Deere, it’s hard to find another tractor manufacturer with the ease of attachment of these two brands. Is TYM going to be reliable and are you going to be able to locate parts down the road. I’m not knocking TYM but they use some many parts from so many different manufacturers are they going to be around in the future.

I take their move to Mexico to cut costs as a signal that whatever advantage they might have had is now gone. I have zero doubts that I'd have been happy with a TYM if I'd have gone that way though. If I were you, and you have a dealer near you, I'd encourage you to research a Kioti in whatever size you're looking for as well though. Their lift capacities are right up there as well, and they're "relatively" inexpensive to purchase compared to the larger brands. Not quite as inexpensive as TYM, but I was happy with what I paid for my machine. I also don't know if you have any Yanmar dealers near you, but they make a heck of a product as well. Some ramps to load logs on your mill will be tens of thousands of dollars cheaper than a new tractor and will allow you to load any log that mill can handle. They even make small log hauling trailers to move logs around. I don't have a beef with any of the other brands but stayed with Kubota due to similar concerns with getting parts for the life of the tractor. I've seen some fairly new other brand tractors near where I live that are growing up in the weeds, and have heard tales about long lead times for parts. A tractor should outlast any car or truck I buy, so it is important to me. That and my dad is still rocking his 50yr old Kubota that has been heavily used. I wish you the best of luck. I will not spend money on a product from a company that actively works to prevent its customers from repairing their own equipment. I don't care if that stance does not impact the tier of product I am buying from them. There have been very few companies that have fought as hard as JD has to keep information out of the hands of their customers. As long as they have that stance I won't even spend money on a JD hat.

"Is TYM a TOP 3 Tractor Brand?" Deere and Kubota are clearly #1 and #2. After that I think it's Kioti and TYM duking it out as the up and coming - offering quality tractors at a more attractive price relative to the Big Two. Kioti seems a little more polished and they also have a pretty extensive line of attachments, but yes, TYM offers the most oomph for the money - I can certainly see why someone clearing forested land and/or feeding a sawmill would choose TYM. to drag big trees and carry big logs.

A tractor is an investment. Something to have for years. My family has had kubota tractors with 400+hours on them still running strong with no issues. I think that's worth the extra money paid up front for that brand. Others brands may be alot cheaper but show me the ones that have a lot of hours on them and the issues those owners have had. Then we can talk about brand comparisons.

Sorry, but 400 hours isn't many hours at all... barely past broken in as far as the life of a tractor.........

At tractor is not an investment. It is an expensive tool just like an automobile. When you can drive that automobile to 345-6000 hours with little to no maintenance expenses, then you have something to talk about.

@@sinistercreations1747 LMAO 🤣. You think 400 hours is a lot of hours?? I’ve put that many hours on a tractor in just a few months over the years on more than just one tractor. We’ve got over 14,000hrs on a IH 986 and 11,000 on a 1066, sold a Ford 6640 with a little over 8K on the clock. Four hundred hours is a break in period. Will a Kubota hold up, in my experience they’ve been decent and mostly reliable for us. Is Kubota selling you a waterd down version of a tractor for a high price? YES!! Less features for more money. Their paint is shit, their lift capacity and ergos are too, The fact you have to spend a fortune just to get shuttle on the column, a loader joystick to the side, and a gear shift lever out between your legs, is beyond dumb for anyone to buy into, Those features have been offered well before the 70’s!

Tractors are a welded link to service and parts. The new players are not up to speed on logistics, parts and supplies, dreams yes, plans yes but operational, no. If I were to replace my tractor it would be in order of quality all around, service and logistics it would be New Holland, Kubota, Massey Furgeson. I was John Deere but they have gone to a new planet on costs and labor and I won't buy them again, same with my neighbors.

All tractor brands have Issues and people who have some serious problems with those brands. In roughly one year, I will be purchasing a TYM 574 hydrostat cab model. TYM does not have an ECM module meaning that it has a mechanical fuel injection. They tried to keep things mechanical where possible and therefore maintenance should be easier. Each year at the equip expo in Kentucky I spend the majority of my time at the TYM display waiting for the day that I can buy one. There are some issues like there is no gauge for the hydraulic fluid temperature, but not every tractor can have everything. For the money,TYM offers the most features. I would not even consider the green since they have chosen to take the path of political activism and wokeness. I love. Kubota, but everything seems to be extra. It’s like owning a Harley Davidson motorcycle and I already have one of those I don’t need one in the field. The equivalent model of some of the more famous tractors are almost $30,000 more than the TYM. That is a lot of money. The other tractors I like are the LS ones. Your channel is great and you bring a lot of enjoyment to my viewing time
