I think it has to do with networking. When you have both SDK 2.0 and 3.0 operating at once the servers have to deal with both sets of operations. It’s (probably) the same reason SDK 1 was eventually fizzled out and the same will happen when 4.0 comes.

I think you are misinterpreting what is being said there. What they are most likely saying is that the ability to upload using SDK2 will be locked. The worlds and avatars will remain available. However, as a depreciated asset functionaliy and features may break over time as we can see in really old pre-SDK2 worlds.

You may wish to look up the word 'scandal' as your this word doesn't apply in this topic it does make you look very over dramatic. The retirement of SDK2 has been announced for over a year with SDK3 being launched for 2 years, so it's not a surprise in any form nor a scandal (since a scandal requires you to be deceptive and secretive) Most people dont use it anymore with most sdk2 worlds and avatars having been long updated or deleted. The deletion or locking will likely not cause any issue except with folks who been using obsolete software on new and old projects.

I still use my sdk 2 avi and it works fine As long as they dont lock it il use it
