Ayeee first comment! This is really interesting research. I never would’ve considered attachment styles to be so genetic in some instances but I guess that makes sense!!

There's also a piece of research which suggests that the best predictor of a child's attachment style is the attachment style of the mother while pregnant. But I'm glad people are rediscovering that attachment styles develop while preverbal given the original research involved Mary Ainsworth's "strange situation" test on babies about 1-2 years old.

You’d be surprised how adaptable our brain is. Everyone can become more secure as long as you put in effort and truly want to change. Change is always within.

I'm a twin and I 100% have an anxious attachment style. My twin seems to be avoidant. Had the same childhood and lived together all of our lives, but it seems like we interpreted things differently. I'm in the alliance by the way

I assume you're talking about Dugan et al. "Genetic and environmental contributions to adult attachment styles: Evidence from the Minnesota Twin Registry" J Pers Soc Psychol. 2024 Oct 31 doi: 10.1037/pspp0000516

is there is a relation between inattentive type of ADHD and avoidance attachment because they seek to be disconnected, on the other hand hyperactive ADHD may seek being anxious attachment and every body knows that ADHD is genetic, i think there is a link between theme.
