His reasoning makes a lot of sense. It's also that when we eat foods with higher water content, we get fuller quicker. So, we eat much less food as a result.

I can't agree totally. too much fruit has also fuctose. so it is important to eat whole fruit to avoid damage on liver and colon. and nothing makes you more full than flour products. but flour products also damage the colon in high amounts over time. But if you look the body figure in Asia or Europe, America many people are overweight. maybe Japanese are not overweight.

A true guru always tries to lead from the front by becoming the role model for one's followers in ensuring meticulous compliance by self of all those advices, which one uses to offer to others - as precepts ! How right was the great Mahatma Gandhiji in his assessment in saying - "An ounce of practice is worth tons of precepts !"

I totally agree with Sadhguru. South Indian diets have more water content and therefore they need not drink 2 litres of water daily while those who eat western dry diet have to drink a minimum of 2 litres of water to remain healthy. You must remember that drinking too much water will over load the kidneys and may lead to kidney failure.

The salt content of the body's water is the same salt content of the oceans If one becomes dehydrated, a small amount of salt should be added to the water to get water into the cells of the body. One sweets out salt, Pryor to dehydration.

I would not take this as very good dietary suggestion. The body does not work like this. Body does not make difference between H2O in food and H2O in mineral water. For body, it is same molecule. And eating the fruit for cleansing ... hmm, well, fruit has lots of sugar, spiking insulin, which is not that healthy at all.

This man will really look you in the face and say "drinking water wont hydrate you" and everyone accepts it as fact. Fruits and veggies are healty for you, but so are meats and breads and carbs which are under 70% water. As long as you drink water, you'll be fine eating whatever kind of food you want, even if its dry. Asian cooking has a lot of dry food too. Look at Japanese rice dishes. Cooked rice is about half water, then they add little bits of meat to their rice.
