I am rarely hungry. it’s the blood sugar spikes all day long that cause hunger. Most everyone I know eats 3 meals a day with snacks and never seem satisfied. Their blood sugar never gets to stabilize. Not only that every time you eat, you get an insulin response, which over time eventually could cause insulin resistance which leads to inflammation and disease.

He emphasizes that waiting at least three hours after your last meal before sleep is essential for maintaining health, as this allows the digestive system to rest. He suggests two main meals per day with 5-6 hours between them, and light physical activity (like a walk) after dinner. He also advises observing how different foods digest, aiming for foods that empty from the stomach within three hours. According to Sadhguru, these practices help cleanse the body on a cellular level, reducing health issues by 50% in six weeks.

Great advice ,thank you. Our food environment has dramatically changed in recent decades whilst our bodies metabolic systems are probably still in hunter gatherer times. We're eating stuff that never existed and often isn't real food at all. All the sugary highly processed stuff is messing up our natural hormonal systems, spiking insulin production creating increasing diabetes and related metabolic disorders. The hormone that makes you feel full becomes suppressed ( leptin) so we continously feel hungry ,we eat too often so the bodies natural clean up squad never get a chance to do their job ( autophagy) creating more problems. The high blood sugar signals to store fat so obesity results. The ancient practices of fasting hold great scientific truths as well as spiritual ones.

Technically you don't have to go to bed starving. You just have to stop eating at least three hours before bedtime and not eat for at least 12 hours after your last meal of the day. In some of the comments, some people say that they eat once in a day. It may cause low energy levels, ulcers and sleeplessness and even diabetes due to low glucose levels. I advise people to not follow anything blindly. Everyone is different. It's one fits for all formula. You have to find what works for you.

I hate going to bed hungry. Probably my worst habit.

Notice how humans and animals fall asleep so easily after a meal, that is natures way. It’s not easy to fall asleep on an empty stomach. Hunger is a signal that we get up and forage and hunt for food, not go to sleep. Sleep comes after the meal.

It’s different for animals. We’re human. Most foods that the average person consumes depletes energy, that’s why it makes people fall asleep.

For once, a topic that helps humanity. Peoples are eating too much then complain obesity, hypertension, gout, and other man made diseases.

I eat just one heavy meal a day at 3pm... My physical & spiritual health are 100%

I don’t see anybody talking about how hard it is to fall asleep when hungry. Guess it’s just me 🤷🏼♀️

You’re exactly right. If I go to bed hungry I wake 2/3 times during the night so my sleep is poor

I cannot sleep at all if I am hungry. So is my brother. I remember once I went to bed without eating and after struggling for 2 hrs to sleep I had to get up at 1.30 am to eat something. After that I was able to sleep very well. But people are different. My sister always go to bed without eating and says she sleeps very well.

Namaskaram Sadhguru! The frequency with which your body operates is transitory. The variance is a reflection of how the mind & body can correlate certain "necessities" which function at optimal levels. The objective is to "shock" your body into burning fatty acids. For this to materialize one must exercise on an empty stomach. Meditation should NEVER be done on a full stomach as well. For human beings meditation is "Static" but for "Alien Beings" it is very fluid. If Hinduism had the Laws Of God which are in the "Quran" & "Torah", I would recommend it to everyone. No other religion can teach you about "Cosmic Energy." This is the reason every single Guru in the world is a Hindu. Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Christianity, and Buddhism are all accepted by God but no religion offers more insight than Hinduism. This is why the Gita is 13,000 pages. Excellent Video!

Jesus Christ said He is the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the father but through Him. Please read the King James Holy Bible for the truth about the true God of the universe! There was only one God in his name is Jesus.

@@Savannah-ed4rv That only applies to Christians. Muslims believe there is no God but” Allah.” This only applies to Muslims. If you want to know who God is , read “ The Torah.”
