Is YouTube KILLING MY CHANNEL? [June 2019]

Overnight, between June 10th and 11th, 2019, KZbin killed my channel without warning and my views, subscribers, watch time, and revenue PLUMMETED. Not a gradual decline, or a fluctuation, but it's literally like I was censored somehow. I'm putting this video out there in the hopes that someone will see it and have a solution.
As a disabled stay-at-home-mom, this channel is a means for me to work from home and help contribute to my family's income. There are so few things I'm able to do now due to my illness, and this was one of the things that made me feel productive, so it's a crushing blow to lose it! If you have any advice or suggestions, please, PLEASE let me know.
I would also be forever grateful if you would support this channel by sharing your favorite videos on social media, commenting and liking as soon as a video is uploaded, and of course, subscribing. I have a feeling that my videos aren't even showing up in my subscribers' feeds, so if you want to see new content, please come back and check frequently. I would love to keep putting wholesome, genuine content out there, but I can't if this channel doesn't recover.

Hi Angie, Google's been running after blogs and channels that share expert knowledge and the health industry is said to suffer the most. Sometimes people working for Google itself aren't aware of how the updates are working. Google introduced this abbreviation E.A.T which stands for Expertise, Authority and Trustworthiness. I'd recommend you pin a video to your channel that highlights your qualifications & certifications. In addition, try including reference links from high authority websites in your video descriptions. You may also reach out to high-authority blogs and/or channels to link back to you so it could be a win-win for both. Hope this helps.

I had a similar thing happen ( I only have a small channel for a hobby ) but the views dropped like a stone a few times then a week later it went the other way and I gained 100 subs in a week, then dropped again, I think they mess around sending all content to other popular channels that they want to grow while destroying others 🧐

Angie Hepp same to angie, hang in there and I’m sure the google bots will move on to someone else soon and you will be back to normal. Utube has lost the plot lately changing the algorithms all the time, it worked extremely well a few years back so why change what worked !

Welcome to KZbin 2019. Basically if you have kids in your contact KZbin is going to screw you over now. I’m not joking, I got an email informing us that family channels across the platform will now have limitations. So basically because of daddyofive and toy freaks Mistakes KZbin’s now going to Punish all family channels By not featuring us any longer. I guess KZbin’s logic is it’s better for young kids to watch 20-year-old smoking joints then to watch family friendly contact.

Hi ... ME TOO ! on the 29th of June my views dropped off from 80,000/100,000 per day - to just 14,000 per day - and it has not recovered - my subscriber count has gone from 100 per day to a very freaky -8. I did contact youtube - but they send out the bland - ' have you changed your content ? ' and no I have not. But my analytics graph looks like yours - some odd is going on, I hope they sort it for you - and me

Wow, that is so crazy! I have to say, it makes me feel a bit better to know I'm not alone, but at the same time I'm so sorry you're experiencing it, too. Strangely enough, a couple days ago, things shot back up, almost to where they were. And I hadn't changed anything! So strange! So maybe (hopefully) that will happen for you, too.

It is so scary! I was absolutely SICK when I saw. All my hard work down the drain, it just made me cry! I already knew that KZbin doesn't notify my subscribers, since only 1% of my views come from my subscribers. But apparently that's happening to a bunch of creators. My channel was doing really well in 2019 then suddenly in April that year it completely plummeted. I went from uploading a video and it reaching 100k views to yesterday uploading the exact same style of video and it getting 100. It's really discouraging

Hi this is happening to us too and many many many more. We've been around 4 years, then boom. not a fluctuation this time. Around beginning of june, then again 10 july, then 3 august - views, subs, recommendations, plummeted 99% and going down no reason. heartbreaking. anything to do with kids in anyway seems to be at the top of list. we are same no motivation to create. we have written to youtube too but no reply. just keep going incase it changes, and everyone needs to keep writing to them. stay in touch we have subbed too. LOL

I am a similar sized channel. Exactly the same thing has gone on with my channel as well and a few other channels I know. I have not recovered. Has you channel improved at all? Any help from KZbin?

It's weird. It bounced back to almost normal about a month after the drop, that lasted for a week, then it dropped back down again literally overnight. Now it's back up. There's no rhyme or reason. No help from KZbin Creator Support. I'm bewildered.

The exact same decline happened to me around the time you posted this video. Except, KZbin won't even admit there's ANYTHING wrong in my case. They just tell me to tell my subscribers to turn the bell on, which they have already.

My channel recovered and was back to normal, but then the same overnight drop occurred twice since then. I haven't done anything differently. It's extremely frustrating and demoralizing. Makes me not want to upload anymore.

I’m having this on my other channel which I’m trying to grow. I firmly believe KZbin are killing off the small KZbinr. I have minus impressions whereby a few months ago it was high, my views have dropped by over 800 in a short period of time, I have no idea how they do this.

You are lucky that at least they are not denying the issue: I'm in the same sitation since september 2017 and nothing is changed. They keep telling me that everything is fine, that the drops happens, but I would be a 100k channel right now if they didn't messed up with my notifications. Plus, they want 3 feedbacks from my subscribers...but guess what? They are not even notified when I comment! Nobody is givin me the chance to contact my old subscribers! Many of them do not have social links :(

Maybe it's part of Google's new YMYL initiative, scrubbing alternative health stuff from serach? Either way, it's time for all of us to band together and find new ways to share audiences and ideas. No more waiting around for Google to lead people to our doors, that was bound to end eventually. Sucks for now but I'm thinking it's a great opportunity to find time to connect our various communities together, without the help of the big corporations.

Mine recovered for about a month, then they censored it again. My revenue, views, and new subscribers have all dropped by 80%. I'm really getting frustrated. They also removed one of my very popular videos and put a strike on my account and denied my appeal, despite the fact that my video clearly did not violate a single one of their policies. I told them this, and demanded they show me how it violated any of their policies, but they refused to tell me.

You'll have to alert people and tell them to check your channel once a week or something even set up social media account before you post a video to let people know.. Other than that I'm no help either! Love your videos and sad to hear this is happening.

I've had 23k for a while before the drop. I was getting 2200+ new subscribers a month, now that's at about 200. Nothing is fixed. My revenue dropped to about 15% of what it was. It hasn't budged despite my uploading new videos and making improvements to titles, tags, descriptions, and more. KZbin's response is still "everything is working correctly."

They did respond, but never admitted to anything on their end. They also deleted one of my most popular videos and never explained why, despite my asking over and over for a reason. They do what they want, with no explanation, and care nothing for their creators. They tanked my channel again recently and my revenue has dropped by 80%. The only reason I'm still here is that there is no other viable monetized platform to switch to.

There are other you Tube creators I watch that have been saying the same things. But they are controversial political channels. Yours does not seem directly political but a couple topics you cover or ideas that you espouse might be political in that there may be others who do not want the ideas you espouse to become widely known and practiced such as home schooling and natural vision improvement.
