And with Nodens banned, it's also difficult to build in the first place, resulting in this issue that if they ever want to revisit the Entities, they don't really need support, they need a new deck almost entirely.

Based on what you describe, it sounds like it does make thematic sense. I have the ability to see the future good or bad and the only way for me to change the future is to use some other power. It's the whole burdened with knowledge thing. The reason it's a burden is because you can't change the negative things to come. That's why he seeks power through the possession to change those future outcomes. I don't know if that's the plot of story, but that does sound thematically logical. The Big bad has the ability to see the future sees a future in which something bad is going to happen. Seeks to change that future but need some evil power to do so..

@@Grimjr7 The problem is that Sartorius wasnt really burdened by his visions of the future at all, he was mostly calm and fairly well-mannered, reassured that he always knows the outcome of things. The thing that possesses him is not even something he sought out, but got accidentally. He does have an interest in people that can defy destiny, but because it messes with his complete certainty of the future, something that is hyped up whenever he appears. You'd think his deck would take advantage of his main gimmick, but it can't!

I don't know how I seen the future would materialize in the deck but thematically speaking him seeing the future then him getting possessed to alter destiny which would come in the form of him instead of having to flip a coin to see what destiny holds. He just chooses what destiny's going to be. I'm pretty sure that's the gimmick you are choosing what destiny will be.

​@@DeepCDiva interestingly, hierophant actually _does_ retroactively fix this to an extent, as foreseeing two tails in a row suddenly becomes a _lot_ funnier when the first one means the second one's your choice of a negative effect on your _opponent's_ field the newer ones ( and the old rulers ) are definitely much better thematically, tho, since their tails effects aren't strictly negative and instead are properly distinct modes. this means him foreseeing which one he'll get _is_ beneficial, as it allows him to route his combo around something otherwise unpredictable and avoid making decisions that would lead to dead-ends if a later monster doesn't get the right effect

Let me help your brain. The Arcana cards are actually pretty good. You can get the fusion out really fast as it doesn't hold you down to Arcana monsters on your field. Meaning the first card you read both the heads and tails effect are good. As you can play the other cards that will make your opponent flip a coin giving you the chance to gain from the effects. That and the fusion will be just like Mega fleet in a way where you can just use that Arcana monster on your opponents field to fusion into the monster. Also you didn't even think of the fact that the level 10 summoning can bring out the World or the other Arcana force monster. The only problem they really have is needing the field spell to be good. If they made a continuous spell that was basically the same thing as the field spell they would be completely fine.

Tbh on first reveal I also just kinda groaned at the skill drain effect on The Chaos Ruler, but after hearing more people talk about, the requirement for light barrier to be on the field could be a reference to light barriers anime effect, which was a skill drain along with the life gain and rigging coin toss effects, gives the effect more meaning behind it then just a “he he here’s a skill drain”. I think all the cards Arcana force got were really good for them, it’s just that they need waaaaaay more then 5 cards to fix it, the light duelist pack could’ve been useful for that, but y’know, DM nostalgia for the XYZ unions outweighs the cry for Arcana force support apparently

I'll reiterate what I said elsewhere: the Arcana Force support is an 8/10 support dragged down to 5/10 by what its supporting. At least it can easily turbo out The World by itself too, with minimal outside support. I am definitely throwing Delta into my Doomking Eldlich deck. From my understanding (rulings people can correct me) Delta is basically tailored to be abused by Eldlich. You can use effect 1 to send Eldlich, then you can send Delta as cost for Eldlich’s GY effect and because Delta would be in the GY by the time Eldlich returns to hand, you can now trigger effect 3 to return it to hand so you can send more shit next turn.

I love when someone ecstatic enough to talk about a specific card just hops on a Discord call to sing their prayers. It was like me with either Fiendsmith Magikey - because Maginificent is a Light Fiend, you can make Transfurlmine + Full Fiendsmith Combo instead of ending on Magikey Dragon or whatever - or even Primite - to make good use of Normal Monsters, whilst being able to start Fiendsmith combo on its own.
